Abstract

875,100. Photographic silver halide materials. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I. Oct. 1, 1959 [Nov. 21, 1958], No. 33332/59. Class 98(2) A photographic element comprises a gelatino-silver halide emulsion layer, containing from 5 to 50% dextran and 20 to 55% gelatin, both based on the total weight of solids in the emulsion. In a modification, some of the dextran may be present in a layer adjacent the emulsion layer, such as a subbing, separator, filter or antihalation layer, which layer also may contain gelatin. Specifications 592,676, 600,058, 658,588, 658,826, 718,422 and U.S.A. Specification 1,925,508 are referred to.
