Abstract

1,073,238. Silver halide emulsions giving images of improved density. EASTMAN KODAK CO. Aug.7, 1964 [Aug. 9, 1963], No.32159/64. Heading G2C. A light-sensitive gelatino-silver halide emulsion of which the silver halide comprises silver bromoiodide containing from 0À5 to 10 mole % of silver iodide and having a means grain size of at least 0À4Á contains a polyacrylamide having an inherent viscosity (#i = 2À3 logic nr/c where nr is the ratio of a viscosity of a solution of the substance to the solvent and c is the concentration in the solvent) in 0À25% w/v aqueous solution at 25‹C. of from 0À1 - 0À6 the weight of the polyacrylamide being from 5-50% of the weight of the gelatine.
