Abstract

1,257,983. Photographic sensitization. AGFA-GEVAERT A.G. April 24, 1969 [April 27, 1968], No.20896/69. Heading G2C. Exposed silver halide emulsions are developed in the presence of a bis-aminomethyl-tetraalkyl disiloxane, as sensitizer. The disiloxane may be in the silver halide emulsion or developer and is preferably of formula; (in which R 1-4 are each H, C 1-12 alkyl or cycloalkyl, or R 1 and R 2 and/or R 3 and R 4 together complete a 5-7 membered ring; R 5 is C 1-6 alkyl). The emulsion may contain a tetraazaindene stabilizer.
