897,497. Photographic silver halide materials. DU PONT DE NEMOURS & CO., E. I. June 13, 1960 [July 10, 1959], No. 20699/60. Class 98(2). A photographic gelatino-silver halide emulsion comprises 5-50% of a water-soluble dextrin, by weight of the total dry solids in the emulsion, a 25% by weight aqueous solution of the dextrin having a viscosity of 5-350 centipoises at 25‹C. Dextrin also may be included in a subbing layer, an interlayer, a filter layer or an anti-abrasion layer adjacent the silver halide emulsion layer. Specifications 592,676, 600,058, 658,826, 718,422, 762,019 and U.S.A. Specification 1,925,508 are referred to.
