Abstract
L'invention concerne une méthode de mouture ou de pulvérisation d'un matériau solide renfermant du carbonate de calcium afin d'obtenir un produit renfermant au moins 60 % en poids de particules ayant un diamètre sphérique équivalent inférieur à 2 microns. Selon l'invention, on forme une suspension aqueuse de matériau solide renfermant suffisamment d'agent dispersant pour éviter la formation d'agglomérats pendant la mouture subséquente du matériau solide, puis on pulvérise le matériau solide dans la suspension formée ci-dessus en agitant la suspension en mélange avec un milieu de broyage particulaire, on sépare du produit ainsi obtenu une suspension aqueuse renfermant un matériau solide pulvérisé que l'on flocule au moyen d'un électrolyte possédant un cation multivalent, puis on déshydrate la suspension aqueuse obtenue.
