Claims (10)

1. Pärlglanspigment med förbättrad väderleksstabili-5 tet pä basis av med metalloxider överdragna glimmerfjäll, vilka försetts med ett stabiliserande, kromhaltig ytskikt, kännetecknat därav, att ytskiktet bestär av en kombination av metallsalt, varvid järn och/eller mangan i form av hydroxid, karbonat eller fosfat och krom i form 10 av hydroxid, karbonat, fosfat eller som metakrylkromklorid utfälls pä utgängspigmenten.
2. Pärlglanspigment enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att ytskiktet utgör 0,1 - 10% av pigmentvikten. 15
3. Pärlglanspigment enligt patentkravet 1 eller 2, kännetecknat därav, att andelen kromförening 1 ytskiktet utgör ca. 20-80 vikt%.
4. Pärlglanspigment enligt nägot av patentkraven 1-3, kännetecknat därav, att metallerna före- 20 ligger i form av fosfater.
5. Pärlglanspigment enligt nägot av patentkraven 1-3, kännetecknat därav, att järn och/eller mangan föreligger i form av fosfat och krom i form av meta-krylatkromklorid. 25
6. Förfarande för framställning av pärlglanspigmen- ten enligt patentkravet 1, kännetecknat därav, att man i en vattenhaltig suspension av ett med metalloxider överdraget glimmerfjällpigment och vid ett pH mellan 2 och 8 tillsätter järn och/eller mangan samt krom i form 30 av saltlösningar och utfäller dessa pä glimmerfjällpigmen- ten, varefter pigmenten separeras och torkas.
7. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 6, kännetecknat därav, att pH-värdet i hög grad hälls kons-tant vid 4-7. 35
8. Förfarande enligt patentkravet 6 eller 7, kännetecknat därav, att utfällningen av metall-salten sker gemensamt.
