Claims (8)
1. Kobolthydroxid eller en av kobolt och nickel, mangan, magnesium eller aluminium eller en blandning av dessa bildad blandhydroxid, kännetecknad av att dess volymvikt är ca 0,5-2,2 g/cm3, partikelstorlek mer än ca 1 pm, typiskt ca 1-20 pm 5 och en specifik yta ca 0,5-20 m2/g och att den är framställd genom att till en vatten-haltig kloridlösning av kobolt eller till en vattenhaltig kloridlösning av kobolt och nickel, mangan, magnesium eller aluminium eller en blandning av dessa under alka-liska betingelser tillsätta en komplexbildarsubstans och hydroxidjoner för att bilda metallhydroxid, varvid komplexbildarsubstansen väljs sä, att den bildar ett ammoni-10 umkomplex med metalljonen medan molförhällandet mellan komplexbildarsubstansen och metallen är ca 0,5-3 och pH regleras till 10-13.
2. Kobolthydroxid eller en blandhydroxid enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknad av att pH regleras till ett pH intervall 11,2-12,0.
3. Kobolthydroxid eller en blandhydroxid enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknad av 15 att kloridlösningens koncentration är i intervallet 10 -120 g/1 räknat med avseende pä den totala metallhalten.
4. Kobolthydroxid eller en blandhydroxid enligt patentkrav 1, kännetecknad av att komplexbildarsubstansen är ammoniumsulfat eller vattenhaltig ammoniak.
