Abstract

Procedimientos para la preparación de nuevos derivados de fenetanolamina, útiles para controlar el peso de los mamíferos. Se han realizado extensas investigaciones en el campo de los derivados de beta-feniletilamina, como las catecolaminas. Por ejemplo, se ha estudiado mucho la catecolamina natural, epinefrina. La epinefrina es un potente fármaco simpatomimético y un intenso estimulante cardiaco. Sin embargo, el uso de la epinefrina es limitado debido a sus efectos secundarios indeseables entre los que se encuentran temor, ansiedad, temblores, tensión nerviosa, dolores de cabeza con latidos, mayor presión sanguínea, vértigos, dificultades respiratorias y palpitaciones así como debido a su corta duración de acción.
