Abstract

Revestimiento de protección humectable con aluminio sobre un substrato para su uso a elevadas temperaturas en un entorno que resulta oxidante o corrosivo o ambas cosas, y gaseoso o fundido o ambos, aplicándose dicho revestimiento para proteger el substrato de ataques líquidos o gaseosos o una combinación de ambos, comprendiendo dicho revestimiento partículas de por lo menos un óxido de metal o de metales parcialmente oxidados en un recipiente coloidal secado o en un aglutinante orgánico curado o en ambos, seleccionándose dichas partículas entre hierro, cobre, cobalto, níquel, zinc y manganeso en forma de óxidos y metales parcialmente oxidados y combinaciones de los mismos, y pudiendo reaccionar con aluminio fundido al estar expuesto a éste para formar una matriz de alúmina que contenga metal de dichas partículas y aluminio.
