Abstract

Procedimiento de colada continua de una banda de acero inoxidable austenítico de espesor inferior o igual a 10 mm, directamente a partir de metal líquido, entre dos cilindros horizontales enfriados, caracterizado por el hecho de que: - la composición de dicho acero, en porcentajes ponderales, comprende: C % = 0, 08; Si % = 1; P %= 0, 04; Mn % = 2; Cr % comprendido entre 17 y 20; i % comprendido entre 8 y 10, 5; S % comprendido entre 0, 007 y 0, 040; siendo el resto hierro e impurezas producto de la elaboración; - la relación Creq/Nieq está comprendida entre 1, 55 y 1, 90, siendo: Creq ( %) = Cr % + 1, 37 Mo % + 1, 5 Si % + 2 Nb % + 3 Ti% Nieq ( %) = Ni % + 0, 31 Mn % + 22 C % + 14, 2 N % + Cu %; - la superficie de los cilindros incluye hoyitos contiguos de sección aproximadamente circular o elíptica, de 100 a 1500 micram de diámetro y de 20 a 150 micram de profundidad; - el gas inerte que rodea el menisco es un gas soluble en el acero o una mezcla de estos gases, o está constituidoal menos por 50 % en volumen de dicho gas o mezcla de gases.
