Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSO DE FUNDIçãO CONTìNUA ENTRE CILINDROS DE CINTAS DE AçO INOXIDáVEL AUSTENìTICO DE EXCELENTE QUALIDADE DE SUPERFìCIE, E CINTAS ASSIM OBTIDAS". A invenção tem por objeto um processo de fundição contínua de uma cinta de aço inoxidável austenítica de espessura inferior ou igual a 10 mm, diretamente a partir de metal líquido, entre dois cilindros horizontais resfriados, caracterizado pelo fato de: a composição desse aço, em percentagens ponderais, compreender: C% <243> 0,08; Si% <243> 1; P% <243> 0,04; Mn% <243> 2; Cr% compreendida entre 17 e 20; Ni% compreendida entre 8 e 10,5; S% compreendida entre 0,007 e 0,040; o resto sendo ferro e impurezas resultantes da elaboração; a relação Cr~ eq~/Ni~ eq~ estar compreendida entre 1,55 e 1,90, com: Cr~ eq~(%)=Cr%+1,37 Mo%+1,5 Si% + 2Nb% + 3 Ti% e Ni~ eq~(%) = Ni% + 0,31 Mn% + 22 C% + 14,2 N% + Cu%; a superfície dos cilindros comportar fossos anexos de seção aproximadamente circular ou elíptica, de diâmetro 100 a 1500 <109>m e de profundidade 20 a 150 <109>m; o gás de inércia que envolve o menisco é um gás solúvel no aço ou uma mistura desses gases, ou é constituído pelo menos por 50% em volume desse gás ou mistura de gás.
