Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSO DE FUNDIçãO CONTìNUA ENTRE CILINDROS DE CINTAS DE AçO INOXIDáVEL FERRìTICA ISENTAS DE MICROFISSURAS". A invenção tem por objeto um processo de fundição contínua de uma cinta de aço inoxidável ferrítica de espessura inferior ou igual a 10 mm diretamente a partir de metal líquido entre dois cilindros com eixos horizontais resfriados e colocados em rotação, caracterizado pelo fato de o metal líquido ter a composição em percentagens ponderais C% + N% <243> 0,12, Mn% <243> 1, P% <243> 0,04, Si% <243> 1, Mo% <243> 2,5, Cr% compreendida entre 11 e 19, Al <243> 1%, Ti% + Nb%, Zr% <243> 1, o resto sendo o ferro e impurezas resultantes da elaboração; o índice Y~ p~ do metal líquido está compreendido entre 35 e 60%, Y~ p~ sendo definido pela fórmula: Y~ p~ = 420 C% + 470 N% + 23 Ni% + 9 Cu% + 7 Mn% - 11,5 Cr% - 11,5 Si% - 12 Mo% - 23 V% - 47 Nb% - 49 Ti% - 52 Al% + 189; a rugosidade Ra das superfícies desses cilindros é superior a 5 <109>m; utiliza-se nas proximidades do menisco do metal líquido presente entre os cilindros um gás de inércia composto com pelo menos 60% em volume de um gás solúvel no aço.
