LA INVENCION TRATA DE UN CATALIZADOR PARA LA SINTESIS DE METILMERCAPTANO A PARTIR DE SULFURO DE HIDROGENO Y METANOL, ASI COMO DEL PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA FABRICACION DEL CATALIZADOR. EL CATALIZADOR CONSTA DE OXIDO DE ALUMINIO ACTIVO EN EL QUE HAY PRECIPITADO DE UN 15 A UN 40 % EN PESO DE VOLFRAMATO DE CESIO EN CALIDAD DE PROMOTOR. EL PROMOTOR DE VOLFRAMATO DE CESIO CONDUCE A UN INESPERADO INCREMENTO DE LA ACTIVIDAD Y LA SELECTIVIDAD COMPARADO CON EL VOLFRAMATO POTASICO EMPLEADO EXCLUSIVAMENTE POR LA TECNICA ACTUAL.
