Abstract
Un catalizador modificado para incrementar su selectividad al etileno en la produccion de olefinas livianas a partir de compuestos oxigenados,particularmente metanol, un proceso para la modificacion del mismo y un proceso para la produccion de olefinas livianas a partir de una alimentacionde compuestos oxigenados y del catalizador. El catalizador es modificado con fosforo al incorporar un oligomero fosfonitrílico con el catalizador y luegocalcinar el catalizador a una temperatura suficiente para descomponer el oligomero fosfonitrílico y depositar aproximadamente de 0,001% en peso a 50%en peso sobre el catalizador. Esta modificacion proporciona una nueva composicion en la que se incrementa la selectividad al etileno del catalizadoren la produccion de olefinas livianas a partir de oxigenados en contaste con un catalizador de tamiz molecular de poro pequeno de otra manera similarexcepto que no ha sido así tratado y modificado con el oligomerofosfononitrílico.
