Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for the metered filling of a container with a pourable or flowable filling material.
  • Such devices are used in particular in the production of food supplements or drugs.
  • an active ingredient-containing filling material is filled into a suitable container so that the filling material and thus also the active ingredient can be swallowed as a capsule, for example.
  • the active ingredient can already be correctly pre-dosed, for example in the form of tablets, filled hard gelatine capsules or injection ampoules.
  • Each unit of the dosage form already contains the correct, predetermined dose of the active ingredient.
  • dosage forms in non-dosed form from a reservoir (container), for example in the form of ointments, powders, granules or pellets. In this case, the required amount of product and thus also the active ingredient is withdrawn individually. As long as the respective active substance has a large therapeutic window, such an individual withdrawal can take place directly by the patient or consumer.
  • the active ingredient has only a very narrow therapeutic window - the limit between a dose that is still ineffective and a dose that already causes undesirable side effects, i.e. is very low - one should Individual removal of the active ingredient no longer takes place in an uncontrolled manner by the patient himself.
  • Dosage forms with pre-dosed active ingredients are produced industrially in particular when the respective dosage is to be made available in large numbers. This is the case with antibiotics, for example.
  • Other therapeutic agents require a patient-specific dosage that relates, for example, to the respective body weight. In this case, industrial production is usually cost-intensive and therefore economically unfavorable. Therefore, an individual dosage is carried out regularly in the pharmacy or hospital pharmacy. For example, a number of oncological and psychotropic drugs must be dosed individually. Especially in geriatrics and pediatrics, comparatively common medications such as antibiotics often have to be dosed individually. This is necessary in order to take into account the differences in body weight and physical condition and, in some cases, also to take into account the particularities of the metabolism, especially in small children.
  • an active ingredient When an active ingredient is dosed for individual delivery to a patient, it is regularly weighed, for example in the hospital pharmacy. Alternatively, a specific volume of the active ingredient can also be measured, which corresponds to the required dose of the active ingredient. To make it easier for the patient to take, the individual dose is often filled into hard gelatine capsules.
  • Such capsules which are assembled from a capsule lower part and a capsule upper part, are a widespread form of administration of powder or pellet-shaped active ingredients. They can be industrially produced and filled in very large numbers, but they can also be used in pharmacies for the production of individual single doses.
  • drinking straws are also used for the administration of active ingredients and / or food supplements.
  • a Drinking straw is for example from the EP 1 843 683 B1 known.
  • the active ingredient is in particular in the form of granules, pellets, micro-tablets or powders and preferably has a size in the range from about 250 micrometers to about 4 millimeters. The average size is around 250 micrometers to 710 micrometers.
  • the active ingredient is already in the drinking straw and is sucked into the patient's mouth with a liquid from the drinking straw and then swallowed. This makes it easier for the patient to take his active ingredient because it is usually much easier to swallow.
  • the active ingredient By absorbing the active ingredient as an in-situ suspension with the liquid, the taste of the active ingredient can be masked by the liquid, for example.
  • the patient can customize the taste through different drinks according to his own wishes. When using pellets, they are regularly functionally coated. In this way, taste masking can also be possible. In addition, a specific release profile can also be obtained.
  • the drinking straws are regularly manufactured industrially and therefore contain an exactly prescribed dose of an active ingredient. Devices for the metered filling of a container with a filling material are off DE 20 2013 005759 U1 and US 2007/169836 A1 known.
  • the invention is based on the object of specifying an improved device for the metered filling of a container with an active substance-containing product, which in particular enables the containers to be filled individually at the point of administration.
  • smaller numbers of containers should be able to be filled inexpensively, quickly and reliably.
  • the device according to the invention for the metered filling of a container with a filling material is given by the features of main claim 1. Useful further developments of the invention are Subject of further claims following this claim.
  • the device according to the invention for the metered filling of a container with a filling material has a receiving unit for receiving the container to be filled and a filling unit.
  • the filling unit By means of the filling unit, a defined amount of filling material can be removed from a material store and transferred into the container.
  • the filling unit has at least one metering chamber, which is displaceably mounted.
  • the at least one metering chamber can be present alternately in a first position and in a second position. In its first position, the dosing chamber is in contact with the material reservoir, so that filling material can be poured into the dosing chamber from the material reservoir.
  • the dosing chamber In its second position, the dosing chamber is arranged above the container to be filled, so that the filling material located in the dosing chamber can be emptied into the container.
  • the material store is provided as a separate container which can be releasably attached to the device by means of a fastening unit.
  • the device can be used directly at the point of care of the active substance.
  • the patient can be prescribed a certain number of containers to be filled and a certain amount of active ingredient via a doctor's prescription.
  • the patient receives the containers and the active ingredient from a pharmacy or hospital pharmacy, the active ingredient being in stock in a suitable container.
  • the patient is informed of the required dose of the active ingredient.
  • the appropriately trained patient or a caregiver (for example also the trained parents of sick children) can then fill the containers accordingly immediately before taking them and then also administer them.
  • the metering chamber can in particular be displaceable in the upward direction and in the opposite direction. Such a back and forth movement can regularly be carried out with just one hand, at the same time it is not necessary to put it down and change your grip in the meantime. This facilitates the operation of the device according to the invention for the bottler.
  • the device can only have the one metering chamber described above. In this case, it would be necessary to perform the forward movement and the return movement to complete a fill pass.
  • the metering chamber can preferably be mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable. Such a storage is structurally simple to implement and at the same time enables simple and convenient operation.
  • the device can have a first metering chamber and a second metering chamber.
  • the two metering chambers can then alternate in a first and in a second position. While one of the two dosing chambers is in its first position and is being filled with the product to be filled, the second of the two dosing chambers is in its second position and empties the product in the dosing chamber into the container.
  • Both metering chambers must be present in their second position in the identical position above the container in order to enable an exact and reproducible filling of the container.
  • the first position of the two metering chambers on the other hand, can be different as long as both metering chambers can be filled with the same amount of the same product in their respective first position.
  • the two metering chambers can each be moved from their first position to their second position by a rotary movement. If the rotary movement encompasses an angle of 180 degrees in each case, the two metering chambers can become theirs as a result of the rotary movement Exchanging positions exactly. In this case, both metering chambers would be present in their second position at identical positions below the material store.
  • a funnel element can be arranged between the at least one dosing chamber and the upper edge of the container.
  • the fastening unit for the material storage device can preferably have a screw cap or a snap lock.
  • the containers used as material storage can be securely closed with a screw cap and - after removing the screw cap - can also be attached to the screw cap of the device with the same thread.
  • existing standard containers that are already used in the prior art for the storage and transport of smaller quantities of filling material can continue to be used.
  • containers with a click lid could still be used, provided the device was equipped with a corresponding snap lock.
  • the container can be designed as a drinking straw.
  • the drinking straw should already be sealed at its lower end by suitable means, so that the filling material cannot fall out of the drinking straw at the bottom.
  • the drinking straw can be closed by means of a separate cap.
  • the device according to the invention can preferably have a counting unit.
  • the number of changes in position of the at least one metering chamber can be counted and displayed by the counting unit.
  • a container is filled with several cans of filling material.
  • the active substance is therefore regularly present in the filling material in a relatively low concentration, so that different doses of active substance can be achieved by filling a defined number of dosing chamber fillings with filling material.
  • the counting unit can prevent errors during filling, which can occur, for example, due to distraction.
  • a printer unit can be present. Automatic documentation of the filling process is possible through the printer unit. This can be done afterwards or in parallel to the filling process.
  • the device according to the invention is not restricted to any specific type of filling material.
  • any substance can be seen as a filling material, provided that it can be subdivided into units, all of which have essentially the same amount of active substance. This is particularly the case with solids that are in the form of granules, pellets or micro-tablets.
  • liquids can also be dosed accordingly, especially if they are in the form of microcapsules.
  • the invention is of particular interest in the case of filling goods with high-priced active ingredients, in order not to unnecessarily increase the costs for a treatment. Even in the case of active ingredients with a short shelf life, individual filling of the doses required in each case can be advantageous.
  • FIG Figs. 1 and 2 A first embodiment of the device 10 according to the invention is shown in FIG Figs. 1 and 2 shown schematically.
  • the device 10 has a container 20 as a material store.
  • a filling material 22 can be kept in stock in the container 20.
  • the filling material 22 is in the form of pellets, each of which contains a defined amount of active ingredient. A constant distribution of the active substance concentration in the filling material 22 can thus be achieved.
