Definitions
- the invention relates to a circular loom with the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Circular looms for the production of fabrics are generally known from the prior art, which have a round reed which is arranged coaxially to a main shaft of the circular loom.
- the main shaft forms a main axis of the circular loom.
- warp tape guide elements which are designed to feed a large number of warp tapes to the circular loom.
- Shed forming devices group the supplied warp tapes into two warp tape groups and give them mutually opposite alternating movements, whereby a shed is opened and closed between the two warp tape groups.
- a shuttle moves on a circular path in the open shed and in the process inserts a weft ribbon into the shed, whereby a fabric is formed. The fabric is pulled off through a loom.
- a control cam carrier which has at least one wave-shaped control cam running around the control cam carrier, and control levers are arranged around the control cam carrier, one end of which engages the at least one control cam.
- a cross section of a wave-shaped shed in the circumferential direction parallel to the main axis essentially corresponds to the cross section of a convex lens.
- the shedding devices for guiding the warp tapes have eyelets held by half shafts, two control levers are usually provided for each shedding device. If the shedding devices for guiding the warp tapes have a belt with eyelets stretched around two pulleys, only one control lever is usually provided per shedding device.
- a circular loom with shed forming devices with half shafts is for example from the document IN 159848 A1 known.
- a circular loom with shedding facilities with a belt stretched around two pulleys is for example from the document EP 2 829 645 A1 known.
- WO 2016/205849 A1 discloses a circular loom with a main shaft and a control disk connected to the main shaft and with a plurality of control levers.
- the shed forming devices of the circular loom according to the invention have several pivoting elements and warp thread lifting means guiding the warp tapes, with each pivot element is connected to at least two, preferably several, warp thread lifting means.
- the control cam carrier rotates, the control cam gives each swivel element, either directly or indirectly, a swivel movement about a swivel axis arranged essentially radially to the main axis and a stroke movement.
- the Pivoting elements impart alternating movements to the warp thread lifting means as a function of the gradient and thus of the course of the at least one control curve due to the pivoting movement and the lifting movement, whereby the shed is opened and closed.
- a pivot axis advantageously runs centrally through a pivot element.
- indirect or direct means that the swivel elements can either be coupled directly to the at least one control cam, or that the swivel elements can be coupled to the at least one control cam via connecting elements such as levers, rods or gears.
- essentially radial to the main axis means that the pivot axes of the pivot elements can also be arranged at a slight incline to axes arranged radially to the main axis.
- the circular loom according to the invention comprises shed forming devices which are very simply constructed and form a shed which is lens-shaped in cross section.
- the circular loom according to the invention is therefore not only very efficient, but also requires little maintenance and is economical to operate. Due to the lens-shaped cross section of the shed / shed, the number of shed / shed can be maximized or the distance between the shed / shed can be increased with the same number of shed, the distance between the shed / shed, whereby the risk of collisions of the shuttle with the warp tape is reduced and the resulting warp tape tears are avoided.
- the circular loom according to the invention can be operated at a higher speed than conventional circular looms.
- the lens-shaped shed has the advantage that the gradients of the control curve at the ends of the shed can be lower than with stepped sheds, which leads to lower accelerations when deflecting moving parts, whereby the production speed of the circular loom according to the invention can be increased even further and the moving parts are protected.
- the course of the at least one control curve in the circumferential direction essentially corresponds to the course of the shed.
- the course of the shed can be adapted very easily by changing the at least one control curve.
- the at least one control cam is preferably formed by a groove, a groove or a protruding web.
- FIG Figure 1 shows a first embodiment of a circular loom 1 according to the invention in a schematic sectional view.
- FIG Figure 1 only one right part of the circular loom 1 as seen from a main axis of the circular loom 1.
- the main axis is arranged concentrically to the circular reed 2 of the circular loom 1 and is not shown for reasons of space Figure 1 shown.
- the circular loom 1 comprises said circular reed 2, which is formed by reed bars 32 which are laterally bordered by means of two circular ring-shaped belt rings 33.
- the reed bars 32 and the ring rings 33 are in Figures 2 and 3 shown.
- the circular loom 1 comprises a cam carrier 3, which is arranged coaxially to the main axis of the circular loom 1 and which essentially has the shape of a hollow cylinder.
- the cam carrier 3 is non-rotatably connected to a main shaft (not shown) of the circular loom 1 by means of spokes (not shown).
- spokes not shown.
- two wave-shaped control cams 6 and 7 are formed around the cam carrier 3.

Due to the shape of the control cams 6 and 7, the lifting movement of the pivoting elements 12 takes place in the opposite direction to the lifting movement of the pivoting elements 13 11 is opened and closed.
- a wave-shaped shed 11 is formed due to the respective coupling of the pivot elements 12 and 13 with several warp thread lifting means, whereby the distance between successive shuttle can be kept very small and a high number of shuttle at the same time in the round reed 2 can circulate.
