  • a transport belt that extends around a plurality of rollers, such as the adhesive belt 10 of the present example, may elongate due to aging, leading to a change in tension.
  • the tension (belt tension) of the transport belt changes, the traveling rate of the transport belt may change (in general, the smaller the belt tension becomes due to elongation of the transport belt, the smaller the traveling rate of the transport belt tends to be). Consequently, the transporting rate of the medium P may deviate from a desired value.
  • the printing apparatus 1 of the present example is thus formed so that even if the adhesive belt 10 elongates due to aging, the printing apparatus 1 is able to perform the transport action (or more specifically, to adjust the rotation rate of the drive roller 8) in accordance with the correction table stored in the storage unit 45.

The user subsequently vibrates the adhesive belt 10 by using the hammer 27 and enters, via the PC 46, information that the adhesive belt 10 has been vibrated. Next, under the control of the control section 31, the carriage 16 is caused to move in the scanning direction B and the microphone 18 is caused to detect sound waves.
  • the printing apparatus 1 does not perform any impeding actions that impede measurement of the belt tension. More specifically, such impeding actions include a transport action of the transport mechanism 3 (i.e., the drive roller 8 moving the adhesive belt 10), a washing action of the washing mechanism 15 that washes the adhesive belt 10, an action of a fan disposed in the printing apparatus 1 (for example, a suction action of a suction fan or an exhaust action of an exhaust fan), and the like. During such actions, the belt tension may not be measured accurately.

Further rotation of the rotating member 37 in the rotational direction C unhooks the hook portion 38 from the abutting portion 40, causing the pressing member 36 to move in the direction D1 and the hammerhead portion 41 to hit the support surface F of the adhesive belt 10.
  • Fig. 8 illustrates a state in which the hook portion 38 is unhooked from an abutting portion 40.
  • the hammerhead portion 41 is positioned at a contact position S1 at which the hammerhead portion 41 is in contact with the support surface F of the adhesive belt 10.
  • Fig. 9 illustrates a state at the moment when an abutting portion 40 touches the hook portion 38. While the rotating member 37 rotates in the rotational direction C from the state in Fig. 9 , the pressing member 36 moves in the direction D2.
  • Fig. 10 illustrates a state in which the pressing member 36 has moved to a space-keeping position S2 by rotating the rotating member 37 in the rotational direction C from the state in Fig. 9 .
  • the space-keeping position S2 illustrated in Fig. 10 is the home position of the pressing member 36 (home position when the vibration action of the adhesive belt 10 is not performed, such as when the printing action is performed).
  • Fig. 11 illustrates a state in which the vibration action of (process for vibrating) the adhesive belt 10 has been started and the pressing member 36 has moved to a striking-start position S3 by rotating the rotating member 37 in the rotational direction C from the state in Fig. 10 .
  • the rotating member 37 rotates in the rotational direction C from the state in Fig. 11 , and the hook portion 38 is unhooked from an abutting portion 40, causing the pressing member 36 to move in the direction D1 and the hammerhead portion 41 to hit the support surface F of the adhesive belt 10 (returning to the state in Fig. 8 ).
  • the hammer 20 of the present example is thus formed (three abutting portions 40 are disposed on the rotating member 37 with an equal spacing therebetween). Accordingly, a vibration action of the adhesive belt 10 can be executed by rotating the rotating member 37 each one-third of a rotation. The position of the rotating member 37 in the rotational direction C can be detected by a sensor (not shown).
  • a user first inputs, from the PC 46, an instruction to execute the measurement mode for measuring the belt tension.
  • the printing apparatus 1 adjusts the position of the adhesive belt 10 (i.e., moves the joint portion 26 to the lower side).
  • the printing apparatus 1 subsequently rotates the rotating member 37 in the rotational direction C and thereby moves the pressing member 36 consecutively from the state in Fig. 10 to the state in Fig. 11 , the state in Fig. 8 , the state in Fig. 9 , and then back to the state in Fig. 10 .
  • the hammerhead portion 41 thus hits the support surface F of the adhesive belt 10 and causes the adhesive belt 10 to vibrate.
  • the printing apparatus 1 subsequently moves the carriage 16 in the scanning direction B and causes the microphone 18 to detect sound waves. It is preferable to vibrate the adhesive belt 10 multiple times (for example, an average result of multiple trials is adopted). It is also preferable to detect sound waves at multiple positions in the scanning direction B.
  • the printing apparatus 1 does not perform any impeding actions that impede measurement of the belt tension.

Claims (8)

  1. Appareil d'impression (1) comprenant :
    une courroie de transport (10) formée en tant que boucle et capable de supporter un support (P) ;
    un rouleau d'entraînement (8) configuré pour faire tourner la courroie de transport et transporter ainsi le support dans une direction de transport ;
    une section d'impression (4) configurée pour imprimer une image sur le support ; et
    une section de commande (31) configurée pour commander une action de transport pour transporter le support, dans lequel
    la courroie de transport s'étend autour d'une pluralité de rouleaux (8, 9) incluant le rouleau d'entraînement,
    dans lequel l'appareil d'impression comprend en outre une section de mesure de tension configurée pour mesurer la tension de la courroie, où la tension de la courroie est une tension générée du fait de la courroie de transport s'étendant autour d'une pluralité des rouleaux, la tension étant conférée à la courroie de transport,
    dans lequel la section de commande est configurée pour accepter l'entrée d'une tension de la courroie en acceptant l'entrée d'un résultat de mesure de la section de mesure de tension, et
    la section de commande est configurée pour commander l'action de transport en fonction d'une table de correction dans laquelle la tension de la courroie et la vitesse de déplacement de la courroie de transport correspondant à la tension de la courroie sont corrélées entre elles, et
    caractérisé en ce que :
    la section de mesure de tension comprend un microphone (18) qui peut détecter des ondes sonores générées en faisant vibrer la courroie de transport, et
    la section de mesure de tension est configurée pour mesurer la tension de la courroie en fonction de fréquences d'ondes sonores ayant été détectées par le microphone (18).
  2. Appareil d'impression selon la revendication 1, dans lequel la section de commande est configurée pour fournir une instruction pour réaliser une action d'alarme lorsque la tension de la courroie qui a été entrée est au-delà d'une plage couverte par la table de correction.
  3. Appareil d'impression selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2, comprenant en outre une section de réglage de tension (21) capable de changer la tension de la courroie.
  4. Appareil d'impression selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel
    la courroie de transport a une partie de jonction (26) au niveau de laquelle une extrémité et l'autre extrémité de la courroie de transport dans une direction circonférentielle de celle-ci sont jointes l'une à l'autre,
    lorsque des zones de portée indiquent une pluralité de zones entre une pluralité des rouleaux, chacune des zones incluant la courroie de transport, la section de commande peut accepter une instruction de mesure pour mesurer la tension de la courroie, et
    à l'acceptation de l'instruction de mesure, la section de commande est configurée pour déplacer la partie de jonction vers une position qui n'est pas inclue dans l'une des zones de portée dans laquelle la tension de la courroie est mesurée.
  5. Appareil d'impression selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel, lorsque des zones de portée indiquent une pluralité de zones entre une pluralité des rouleaux, chacune des zones incluant la courroie de transport, une position où la tension de la courroie est mesurée est inclue dans l'une des zones de portée qui est opposée à la section d'impression.
  6. Appareil d'impression selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le microphone est disposé dans la section d'impression.
  7. Appareil d'impression selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la section de mesure de tension comprend un marteau (20) qui fait vibrer la courroie de transport.
  8. Procédé de transport, comprenant :
    la fourniture d'un appareil d'impression (1) qui comprend
    une courroie de transport (10) formée en tant que boucle et capable de supporter un support (P),
    un rouleau d'entraînement (8) qui fait tourner la courroie de transport et transporte ainsi le support dans une direction de transport, et
    une section d'impression (4) qui imprime une image sur le support,
    la courroie de transport s'étendant autour d'une pluralité de rouleaux (8, 9) incluant le rouleau d'entraînement,
    la détection d'ondes sonores, générées en faisant vibrer la courroie de transport, grâce à un microphone (18) inclus dans une section de mesure de tension,
    la mesure de la tension de la courroie grâce à la section de mesure de tension en fonction de fréquences d'ondes sonores qui ont été détectées par le microphone, la tension de la courroie est une tension générée du fait de la courroie de transport s'étendant autour d'une pluralité des rouleaux, la tension étant conférée à la courroie de transport,
    l'acceptation de l'entrée de la tension de la courroie en acceptant l'entrée d'un résultat de mesure de la section de mesure de tension, et
    le transport du support en fonction d'une table de correction dans laquelle la tension de la courroie et la vitesse de déplacement de la courroie de transport correspondant à la tension de la courroie sont corrélées entre elles.
