  • a holding device with two such engagement elements is based on the principle of the EP 199 098 A2 known binding concept for touring bindings and has proven itself in terms of their functionality in touring position. In the abovementioned embodiment, this binding concept can also be advantageously used for a front unit according to the invention.
  • a structurally particularly simple and statically favorable variant, pivotally supporting the engagement elements described above, is seen in that the two engagement elements for adjustment between open position and closed position are pivotally mounted on a common bearing element, wherein the bearing element rotatable about an adjustment axis on a Base plate or mounted on a base attached to the base body of the front unit.

  • the tensioner is for providing a triggering mechanism. If a predetermined release force is exerted on the coupling pins, eg in the case of a fall, in the direction of an opening of the retaining arrangement, the clamping angles are adjusted against the force of the tensioning device into the open position in order to release the shoe.
  • the triggering mechanism may in practice have impaired reliability due to external influences.
  • the coupling pins do not penetrate far enough into the bearing holes and the coupling engagement is weakened.
  • the size of the clamping force of the clamping device to a significant extent depends on the position of the holding device and drops significantly when the holding device moves away from the closed position. The deposition of snow or ice in the coupling holes of the ski boot thus leads in addition to a reduced holding force of the holding device.
  • the problem can be counteracted, at least in the tour position, by providing an additional locking device, which in the closed position of the retaining device can be set into a locking position in order to lock the closed position.
  • a locking lever is actuated, which inserts a blocking element in a pivoting range of the clamping angle.
  • the conventional binding is always a tolerance compensation for the case that the position of the coupling means in the engaged position is not provided due to the deposition of snow or ice in the coupling holes of the shoe or due to wear or manufacturing tolerances of the normal position is not provided. If the distance of the coupling means due to snow or ice deposits too large, the locking position may not be or only by high force produced. In this case, however, the additional locking can not be dispensed with, since, in this part of the movement of the holding device, which is slightly away from the closed position, a markedly reduced clamping force acts in the direction of engagement with the shoe due to the spring characteristic of the clamping device.
  • a locking device which comprises a spring element for providing the locking force.

  • a spring element can act with a predetermined force in the direction of an engagement between the holding device and the sliding board shoe, wherein this defined force can be maintained in a predefined manner over a certain adjustment path of the holding device.
  • a release force of a release mechanism of the front unit can be controlled by the locking force of the spring element, so that in particular a weakening of the clamping force of the tensioning device at a distance of the holding device from the closed position by the locking force of the spring element of the locking device can be compensated.
  • the holding device passes through a dead center position during the transition between the closed position and the open position and thus significantly loses the clamping force of the holding device when removed from the closed position and approaching the dead center position, then the locking device can provide a substantially constant locking force to a range of movement adjacent to the dead center, so that the release force can be maintained at a sufficiently high and structurally well definable value.
  • the locking device in a tour position of the front unit ensure that regardless of a precise position of the holding device, in particular in the case of deposition of snow or ice, a sufficiently high locking force acts on the holding device to prevent false triggering during the ascent , Even in the tour position can be applied by the spring element of the locking device in the case of using a holding device, which passes in the manner described above, a dead center between the open position and closed position, especially when approaching the dead center a sufficiently high locking force to even during the climb to prevent unintentional opening of the front unit.
