Definitions

  • the invention relates to a marking device, in particular for marking, marking or labeling boreholes, cutting edges or bearing lines.
  • a marking work is usually a pen, especially a pencil, pen or fiber pen, used.
  • the application of markings by means of a common pen is often associated with handling difficulties.
  • the points to be marked are often difficult to access with a standard pen. This is especially true when a marker is to be attached to the bottom of a slender and deep bore, or a line is to be marked behind a wide spacer edge.
  • An ordinary pen is often too wide for such marking work.
  • a sufficiently thin pin is often not very suitable for such a marking activity due to the lack of robustness, and in particular is subject to rapid wear and a high risk of damage.
  • EP 0 752 932 B1 discloses a writing or drawing implement with a pen and a removable cap.
  • the cap is provided with a mounting bracket which is struck on the open side of the cap and aligned with its free end in the direction of the closed end of the cap.
  • a marking device according to the preamble of claim 1 is made US 2006/0018700 A1 known.
  • This marking device comprises a marker pin designed in the manner of a felt or fiber pencil, the fibrous application lead of which is received in a stationary manner in the pin housing.
  • a sharpener for a cosmetic pencil has a sleeve-like sharpener housing which has an open insertion end for insertion of the cosmetic pencil to be sharpened. At the end remote from the insertion end of the sharpener housing, a further sleeve-like housing portion is arranged. This further housing section is separated by an intermediate wall of the sharpener housing and formed in the interior in the manner of a tight blind hole, and serves as a protective cap for the cosmetic pencil.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a marking device, which is particularly suitable for a marking activity of the above type.
  • the marking device comprises a marking pen and a protective cap for the marking pen.
  • Trained as a mechanical pen marking pen comprises a pin housing and a displaceablesecondsmine arranged therein, which is displaceably guided in the pin housing by means of an actuating mechanism.
  • the pin housing is divided into a wide grip area and an axially adjoining thin neck area, wherein an outlet opening for the pin lead is formed at the free end of the neck area.
  • the protective cap has an elongated interior opening into a cap opening, which is provided for partially receiving the marking pen. This interior is adapted to the shape of the marking pen.
  • a mounting bracket is further arranged on the outer surface of the cap. This mounting bracket is molded onto the protective cap in an area adjoining the cap opening and from there essentially runs towards the end of the protective cap facing away from the cap opening.
  • a sharpener for the order mine is integrated, which here has an insertion opening, wherein a conically tapered lead channel leads.

  • the stops 36 are each offset by an angle of 120 ° to each other around the circumference of the cap 3. Alternating offset to the stops 36 three centering projections 37 are arranged in the interior 16 continue. These centering projections 37 serve to center the marking pin 2 in the protective cap 3 inserted state with respect to the protective cap 3, so that the pin axis 11 coincides with the cap axis 23.
  • FIG. 4 This insertion position of the marker pin 2 in the protective cap 3 is in Fig. 4 shown. It can be seen in this illustration, in particular, that the centering projections 37 engage in the grip area 9 of the marking pin 2 on its outer circumference. The centering projections 37 are dimensioned such that they act on the handle portion 9 radially with a predetermined holding force, so that the marking pin 2 is held captive in the cap 3. From the illustration according to Fig. 4 Furthermore, it is clear that the outer diameter of the marking pin 2 is selected in the grip area 9 with respect to the inner diameter of the protective cover 3 in the corresponding wide interior section 21 such that an annular gap 38 is formed in the inserted state between the grip area 9 of the marking pin 2 and the protective cover 3. its radial thickness is about 0.35 mm.
  • the thickness of the annular gap 38 is essentially constant around the circumference of the marking pin 2, so that in particular therefore the marking pin 2 does not bear against the interior wall of the protective cap 3. Due to the annular gap 38, the marking pen 2 is prevented from being jammed in the protective cap 3 by dust grains which adhere to the grip area 9.
  • insertion position of the pin 2 with respect to the protective cap 3 is defined in particular by the fact that the shoulder 15 of the pin housing 4 abuts against the corresponding stops 36 of the protective cap 3.
  • Fig. 5 is shown in side view a variant of the marking pen 2.
  • Fig. 6 shows a cross section through this marking pin 2 at the level of the handle portion 9, wherein for simplicity in this cross section, only the (empty) pin housing 4 is shown. In contrast, the order mine 5 and the actuating mechanism 6 held therein are omitted in this illustration.
  • the pin housing 4 comprises a one-piece base body 40 made of plastic, which comprises the handle portion 9, the conical housing portion 12 and the abutment portion 13.

  • a sealing lip 52 is formed at the writing tip 8 facing edge of the sealing sleeve 51.
  • the sealing sleeve 51, and in particular the sealing lip 52, are in this case dimensioned such that in the in Fig. 7 shown insertion position of the marking pin 2 in the cap 3, the sealing lip 52 rests on the edge of the cap opening 18 under pretension, so that the cap opening 18 is sealed when inserted into the protective cap 3 marking pin 2 against ingress of dust and spray.
  • the longitudinal end 50 of the marking pin 2 facing the end of the sealing sleeve 51 is preferably widened to a Abstützwulst 53 or support head, which improves the ergonomics, and thus the handling of the marking pen 2.
  • the sharpener 60 is essentially formed by a bore parallel to the cap axis 23, which acts as a lead guide channel 61.
  • This lead guide channel 61 opens at the longitudinal end 28 in an insertion opening 62 and tapers in the interior, so that it forms a counter-shape for the lead tip to be formed.
  • the lead guide channel 61 can - depending on the desired mine form - inside expire either pointed or in a defined rounding.
  • the lead guide channel 61 is cut open to one side of the protective cap 3, so that an ejection slot 63 is formed for peeled refuse mass. Both edges 64 of this ejection slot 63 are sharp-edged and thus act as a scraping edge for removing the lead mass during the sharpening process. In order to achieve a particularly good scraper effect, edges 64 are formed in particular at an acute angle.
  • FIG. 11 shown variant of the protective cap according to FIGS. 9 and 10 differs from the local design in that the ejection slot 63 does not extend over the entire length of the lead guide channel 61. Rather, according to Fig. 11 the lead guide channel 61 cut open only in one of the lead tip corresponding inner region, so that the ejection slot 63 assumes a window-like contour. In this embodiment, moreover, only the edge 63 lying in the illustration is designed as a scraping edge. To stabilize this edge in this case a metal plate 65 is inserted in the region of the sharpener 60 in the protective cap 3, so that its inner edge flanking the edge 63 at least partially and thus forms the scraping edge.
