Definitions
- the invention relates to a pen holder for storing a pen, in particular a carpenter's pencil.
- the invention has for its object to provide a simple way to keep a pen constantly ready to hand.
- the pen quiver according to the invention comprises a hollow sleeve-like base body, which has an elongated interior opening into an insertion opening for partially receiving the pin.
- the main body passes in the region of the insertion opening into at least one retaining tongue which protrudes (preferably in the longitudinal direction) from the base body and which is set up and provided to hold the pin by clamping action on the base body.
- the pen is preferably a sharpenable pen, such as a pen. a conventional lead or colored pencil.
- the pin is a so-called “carpenter's pencil", which is regularly used by craftsmen to mark cutting courses and / or holes on workpieces.
- the pen may also be a different type of pen, such as a pen. Felt-tip pen, etc. act.
- the pen quiver only has a retaining tongue
- this preferably clamps the pin against a wall of the base body.
- the retaining tongue is in this case formed for example by two introduced into the wall of the body longitudinal slots, and thus against the wall against which the pin is clamped, delimited and flexible - ie resilient - configured.
- the pin in the pen quiver is always in exactly the position selected by the user - especially in the desired insertion depth with respect to the insertion - held. Any arbitrarily short pins therefore do not fall into the pen quiver, but are with sufficient supernatant on the limiting the insertion opening quiver edge, i. in particular over the free end of the or each retaining tongue out, held to grab the pen at any time for reuse and to be able to pull out of the pen quiver.
- any number of holding tongues can be arranged on the base body within the scope of the invention.
- the base body passes over into two retaining tongues which lie opposite each other (diametrically across the longitudinal axis) and which are adapted to hold the pin between them by clamping action.
- the two retaining tongues advantageously increase the flexibility of the pin holder for holding different pins, in particular pins with differently sized pin cross-sectional areas.
- these two retaining tongues are spaced apart such that a user can grasp with two fingers for removal of the pin between the retaining tongues. As a result, slipped or improperly scuttled in the body pins can be removed.
- the main body is preferably designed such that in the interior of the largest expected pin diameter - for pins with non-circular cross section of the largest expected pin cross section - can be added.
- the largest pen cross section to be expected corresponds to the cross section of a conventional (i.e., oval or elliptically profiled) carpenter pen.
- the pen quiver In manufacturing appropriate expedient of the pen quiver is made of plastic.
- the plastic version allows a simple way to perform the or each retaining tongue sufficiently flexible or resilient.
- the pen quiver can also be manufactured with particularly high design freedom.
- the pin quiver is made of metal, for example a light metal.
- the base body is closed at its tip end opposite the insertion opening. This prevents in a simple way that even with deep insertion of the pin in the body, the clothes in which the pen quiver is worn by the user, is contaminated by the writing tip of the pen.
- the base body it is also conceivable within the scope of the invention for the base body to be open at its tip end.
- the pin quiver on a mounting bracket which is connected to a designated as a "fixed end" with the main body, preferably integrally formed thereon. With his facing away from the Festende free end of the mounting bracket is aligned in the direction of the tip end of the body.
- the mounting bracket is suitably made possible to attach the pen quiver - preferably with upwardly directed insertion - for example, a bag of work clothes or the like and thus in particular on the body.
- the pin can be removed in a simple manner, in particular one-handed, from the pen quiver and put back into this after use.
- the pen is thus accessible to the user at all times, i. tangible. This is particularly advantageous for the case in which the user uses a hand for applying and holding a ruler, a template or a workpiece. In such a case, a safe storage option for the pen, such as a flat surface, often not within reach of the user.
- the mounting bracket is preferably designed such that its (serving to hold the pin holder on the work clothes) holding force exceeds the clamping force of the retaining tongues. This ensures that the pen can be removed from the pen quiver, without the pen quiver dissolves from the work clothes.
- the mounting bracket in an expedient embodiment, at least one locking element, which preferably facing on the base body Inside the mounting bracket is arranged and the "biting" in the manner of a barb on the fabric of the work clothes or the like and thus counteracts accidental removal of the pin holder.
- the mounting bracket on at least two longitudinally successively arranged locking elements of this type.
- the mounting bracket with its fixed end on the retaining tongue (or one of optionally a plurality of retaining tongues) attached, in particular integrally formed.
- the mounting bracket is here in particular with - compared to the length of the mounting bracket - a small distance to the insertion attached to the retaining tongue.
- the mounting bracket is preferably connected directly to or just before the insertion opening limiting quiver edge with the respective retaining tongue.
- the pen quiver has a length of about 16 to 26 centimeters, preferably from 20 to 24 centimeters.
- the length of the pin holder here is particularly dimensioned such that it corresponds approximately to the length of a conventional, folded folding rule ("Zollstocks"). This is advantageous because in conventional workwear the depth of at least some pockets is often oriented along the length of a folded folding rule.
- the appropriately sized pen quiver in conventional workwear can be stored safely and without restriction of the user's freedom of movement.
- the or each retaining tongue UFd in order to facilitate the insertion of the pin in the body, in an advantageous embodiment, the or each retaining tongue UFd lake UF-like extension bent up the insertion.
- the user is an almost “blind” operation of the pen holder, so a plugging of the pen into the pen quiver without looking closely.
- each pin is guided by the bending of the retaining tongues when plugging into the pen quiver and centered with respect to the interior, so that even very thick pins can be plugged into the pen quiver in a simple manner, in particular without tilting.
- the or each retaining tongue between the transition to the main body and its free end - preferably partially - tapers in an expedient embodiment.
- "Arealwise" in this context means that the or each retaining tongue is only tapered over part of its entire length.
- the or each retaining tongue can be tapered in the circumferential direction (tangentially) and / or radially. In the latter case, it is a rejuvenation of the wall thickness of the or each retaining tongue.
- the or each retaining tongue on its inner side in each case at least one retaining projection, which projects into the interior of the body.
- this retaining projection bears against the lateral surface of the pin.
- the or each retaining tongue on its inner side in each case two retaining projections, which are arranged transversely to the longitudinal direction of the body at a distance side by side.
- the use of two holding projections on the one hand enables a stable support of the or each retaining tongue on the lateral surface of the pin.
- the investment of the or each retaining tabs on only two discrete points of Stiftlochs on the other hand allows pins with different profiles, ie in particular flattened profiles, such as elliptical or oval profiles of carpenter's pencils, and triangular, round or even To hold hexagonal pin profiles equally stable and centered to the longitudinal axis of the pin holder.
- the or each retaining projection in an expedient embodiment has an elongated parallel to the longitudinal axis of the main body shape.
- the elongated retaining projection in this case, also referred to as "clamping bar”
- the per clamping tongue twice provided clamping webs the insertion of the pin is facilitated, since the or each clamping bar leads the pin in the longitudinal direction.
- the pin is centered particularly effectively with respect to the longitudinal axis. It also prevents the pen from tilting.
- very short pins which do not reach into the - annularly closed - interior of the base body, (tilt and position) are held stable between the retaining tabs.
- the clamping bar of the or each retaining tongue extends in a preferred embodiment of the or each clamping bar of the or each retaining tongue over at least 50% of the length ("inner length") of the interior of the basic body.
- the clamping webs are dimensioned such that they extend over at least 70%, in particular 80 to 95% of the inner length or even over the entire inner length.
- the or each retaining projection with provided with an anti-slip coating or made of an anti-slip material.
- the base body has an oval cross-section.
- oval is meant here that the cross-section of the base body in one direction has a greater extent than in a perpendicular thereto Direction.
- the cross section of the main body is for example polygonal (in particular rectangular) with rounded corners or elliptical. This is particularly expedient, since it is the carpets with the largest cross-sectional area preferably carpenters, the cross-section is also regularly oval.
- a trough is formed in which a Anspitzmesser is attached to the sharpening of the pin.
- the cutting edge of the sharpening blade is in this case in the intended mounting state substantially (i.e., exactly or at least approximately) aligned parallel to the longitudinal axis of the base body and also accessible from the outside of the pin holder forth.
- the Anspitzmesser is arranged in the intended mounting state on the pen quiver, it is advantageously also available to the user of the pen holder.
- the trough for the Anspitzmesser is preferably arranged in the region of the tip end of the base body.
- the trough is further preferably formed such that the Anspitzmesser fits fit and in particular (with respect to the intended position of the cutting edge) uniquely aligned in the trough.
- the pen quiver includes a knife cover, through which the Anspitzmesser can be reversibly covered.
- a knife cover By means of, preferably sleeve-like, knife cover the Anspitzmesser can advantageously always be hidden when this is not needed.
- the knife cover preferably made of transparent material, so that the Anspitzmesser is visible even in the hidden state.
- the knife cover is preferably movable, i. in particular slidable or rotatable, attached to the body.
- the blade cover is adjustable between two positions on the base body, namely a protective blade covering the Anspitzmesser and a Anspitzmesser releasing Anspitzwolf.
- the blade cover is in the intended mounting state but preferably not removable from the body at least not without sufficient force. Thus, loss of the blade cover is effectively prevented.
- the base body expediently has a stop against which the blade cover rests in the protective position. Movement of the blade cover beyond the protective position is thus blocked.
- the base body also has a further stop on which the knife cover rests in the Anspitzwolf.
- the catch or each stop is preferably preceded by a catch.
- a latching is, for example, a bump-like curvature on the lateral surface of the body over which the knife cover is moved with slight elastic deformation to the stop.
- the blade cover on its side facing the base body on a corresponding to the curvature recess in which the curvature rests when the blade cover in the respective end position is arranged.
- the blade cover is set up and provided to be displaced between the protective position and the Anspitzwolf in the longitudinal direction of the body on the lateral surface.
- the blade cover is preferably designed in the form of a ring-shaped closed (protective) sleeve enclosing the base body.
- the or each stop is in this case designed in particular as a ring-shaped circumferential collar on the base body, so that the blade cover fully abuts against this collar in the respective end position.
- the or each locking is preferably formed as a circumferential locking ring on the lateral surface of the body.
- the blade cover is designed as a "C-shaped" shell, which encompasses the base body by at least 180 degrees.
- the knife cover on its inside preferably has two guide webs aligned in the longitudinal direction, by means of which the knife cover is clipped into corresponding guide grooves in the lateral surface of the base body and guided displaceably in the longitudinal direction.
- the blade cover can alternatively be designed as a sleeve with a window.
- the Anspitzmesser is covered by rotation of the blade cover to the longitudinal axis of the body or released through the window.
- the blade cover is coupled via a spring in such a way with the base body that the blade cover automatically, ie when the blade cover is not held by hand in the Anspitz ein is moved from the Anspitzgnagna in the protective position.
- the base body has an opening inside the trough, over which the trough has a back to the trough is in contact with the base body molded contact surface.
- the trough and the contact surface are formed such that the cutting edge of the chisel knife in the intended mounting state - preferably only - is accessible from the contact surface for sharpening the pin.
- the contact surface is used during the sharpening for installation and guidance of the pen with respect to the cutting edge of the Anspitzmessers.
- the part of the body having the contact surface is also used in particular as an abutment for the Anspitzmesser.
- the cutting edge of the sharpening blade is preceded by a frame web extending substantially in the longitudinal direction of the main body, by which a cutting thickness of the sharpening blade is predetermined, similar to a planer or a so-called “peeler”.
- a cutting thickness of the sharpening blade is predetermined, similar to a planer or a so-called “peeler”.
- cutting thickness in this case limited by the frame web cutting depth of the Anspitzmessers, so called the maximum strength of peelable by means of the Anspitzmessers of the pin to be sharpened shavings.
- the tipping knife receiving trough - again similar to a planer or peeler - also serves as Spanausschötechnisch.
- the frame bar also serves as protection against contact, which shields the cutting edge of the tipping knife against contact with body parts or objects (for example working clothes).
- the frame web is therefore particularly preferred in embodiments of the pin holder available in which no knife cover is provided.
- a knife cover may optionally also be provided in embodiments of the pin holder in which the frame web is present.
- the Anfritzmesser opposite frame web is also used for mechanical stiffening of the body.
- the frame web can in principle be in the context of the invention - similar to a peeler - part of a metal frame in which the Anspitzmesser is integrated as a one-piece or subsequently attached component, and which is attached as a whole to the body.
- the frame web is formed as an integral part of the body, in particular the trough and the opening to the contact surface on the the cutting edge facing side of the pin holder limited.
- a guide surface parallel to the contact surface is preferably formed to define the cutting thickness.
- the cutting edge of the Anspitzmessers in particular their free surface, it is preferably in the intended mounting state substantially - ie exactly or with slight deviation - arranged in alignment with the contact surface.
- the pin is placed transversely to the longitudinal extension of the pin holder on the frame web and the contact surface and pulled over the cutting edge. Due to a defined offset between the frame web and the cutting edge or the contact surface, a chip with (fixed) predetermined strength is lifted off the pin.
- the offset is advantageously set so small that soft objects such as body parts or textiles are protected against injury or damage to the cutting edge.
- one or more windows are formed in the lateral surface of the main body in the region of the tip end. Via the or each window, the interior is in communication with the outside of the body so that liquid (eg rainwater when working outdoors) and dirt particles such as rainwater are present. As sawdust, saw dust or sand from the interior to the outside can escape.
- a pen holder 1 for holding a pen.
- the pen quiver 1 has a hollow sleeve-like base body 2, which encloses an elongate interior 4 for partially receiving the pin.
- the interior 4 is doing on a designated insertion end 6 of the pen holder 1 in an insertion opening 8 via.
- the base body 2 runs conically and is closed towards the outside 10.
- the pin quiver 1 has two longitudinal slots 14 introduced in the manner of a cam of an arrow.
- the longitudinal slots 14 are located over the longitudinal axis 16 of the pin holder 1 diametrically opposite.
- the longitudinal slots 14 thereby form two likewise diametrically opposite holding tongues 18 from the main body 2.
- the holding tongues 18 are bent in the region of the insertion end 6 toward the outside 10, so that the insertion opening 8 is enlarged in a funnel-like manner relative to the cross-section of the interior 4 extending over the majority of the base body 2. Furthermore, the retaining tongues 18, as in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 shown, in each case two clamping projections 20 referred to retaining projections which extend in the rib-like manner in the longitudinal direction of the pin holder 1 along the retaining tabs 18.
- the wall 22 of the pin pocket 1 has in the region of the retaining tongues 18, specifically in the region of the closed end 24 the longitudinal slots 14, a wall thickness taper 26 (ie, a wall portion with reduced wall thickness) on.
- the pin holder 1 For fastening the pin holder 1 to a holder, for example to a pocket of the work clothes of the user, the pin holder 1 has a mounting bracket 28.
- the mounting bracket 28 is integrally connected with its designated as a fixed end 30 end integrally with the base body 2.
- the free end 32 of the mounting bracket 28 points in the direction of the tip end 12.
- the mounting bracket 28 in this case extends S-shaped curved along an outer surface of the pin holder 1 designated as a lateral surface 34.
- the mounting bracket 28 also carries on one of the lateral surface 34 of the pin holder 1 facing inner surface 36 two longitudinally spaced-apart locking elements 38.
- the retaining lug 40 is preferably used for fixing the pin holder 1 on a comparatively flat, hard object, for example on a piece of paper or cardboard.
- the blocking elements 38 preferably serve to hold the pencil holder 1 on a soft, flexible material, such as the fabric of the work clothing.
- the blocking elements 38 offer a particularly good support in the manner of barbs against removal of the pin holder 1 from the work clothes.
- the locking elements 38 of a integrally connected to the mounting bracket 28 holding leg and one connected thereto and obliquely to the longitudinal axis Formed 16 running freekel.
- the free-leg has in this case a comparatively wide support surface for the fabric of the workwear, so that a particularly high resistance against peeling off of the pencil holder 1 is given without damaging the fabric or even tearing it.
- a knife designated as an anvil 42 is arranged on the base body 2.
- the Anspitzmesser 42 is in this case inserted in a molded into the lateral surface 34 trough 44 and fixed by a clamping screw 46.
- the cutting edge 48 of the Anspitzmessers 42 is aligned parallel to the longitudinal axis 16 of the pin holder 1 and 10 accessible from the outside. The pin can thus be sharpened comparable to a cutter knife.
- the pen quiver 1 has a designated as a protective sleeve 49 blade cover.
- the protective sleeve 49 is along the lateral surface 34 between an in Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 illustrated protection position 50 and a in Fig. 1 dashed line indicated Anspitz ein 52 slidably.
- the protective sleeve 49 covers the Anspitzmesser 42 completely.
- the protective sleeve 49 is moved so far in the direction of the insertion opening 8 on the base body 2 that the Anspitzmesser 42 is completely exposed.
- a circumferential (referred to as collar 54) stop is externally formed on the base body 2, which protrudes approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis 16 on the lateral surface 34 .
- the protective sleeve 49 strikes in the protective position 50.
- the collar 54 is preceded by a catch (referred to as a latching ring 56) which likewise rotates in a ring around the base body 2.
- the locking ring 56 is only slightly over the lateral surface 34, so that the protective sleeve 49 when moving into the protective position 50 by slight elastic deformation can be pushed over the locking ring 56 away.
- the protective sleeve 49 has on the inside an annular recess in which the locking ring 56 rests in the protective position 50.
- the retaining tabs 18 when inserting the pin, in Fig. 4 as a carpenter's pencil 58 with oval cross-section, in Fig. 5 shown as a "giant pencil 60" with triangular cross section, bent to the outside 10 out.
- the pairs of opposing clamping bars 20 lie against the carpenter's pencil 58 and the giant pin 60 such that the two pins are held almost centered regardless of their profile in the pen quiver 1 and tilt-stable.
- profiles of the carpenter pin 58 and the giant pen 60 can be equally centered and held stable between the retaining tabs 18 by the design of the clamping bars 20 but also other pin profiles, such as round or hexagonal profiles.
- two further webs are arranged in the interior 4 of the pin holder 1.
- These webs are hereinafter referred to as guide webs 62 and serve to guide particularly long carpenter's pencils 58, which are regularly inserted with their writing tip 64 into the tip end 12 and also with a long projection, ie for example 80 to 140 mm on the insertion end. 6 stand out of the pen holder 1 (s. Fig. 6 ).
- the guide webs 62 are aligned with their web height substantially perpendicular to the clamping webs 20 and lead the carpenter pin 58 transversely to the clamping webs 20 (s. Fig. 4 ).
- the carpenter pen 58 is inserted into the pen holder 1 by way of example in an almost unabridged state.
- the carpenter's pencil 58 extends with its writing tip 64 into the tip end 12 of the pen holder 1.
- the holding tongues 18 are bent toward the outside 10 towards their normal state shown in dashed lines and are in contact with the carpenter's pin 58 with their clamping webs 20.
- the clamping webs 20 are chamfered to the insertion opening 8.
- Fig. 7 is an example opposite the in Fig. 6 Zimmermannstatt shown 58 clearly shortened carpenter pin 58 inserted into the pen quiver 1.
- the carpenter's pencil 58 extends with its writing tip 64 only a short distance beyond the retaining tongue 18 into the fully enclosed region of the interior 4.
- the carpenter pin 58 is so slightly beyond the insertion end 6 of the pin holder 1, so that the carpenter's pencil 58 can just be grasped and does not completely disappear into the pen holder 1.
- the carpenter's pencil 58 is in this case held completely by the holding tongues 18 and is centered by the clamping webs 20 with respect to the longitudinal axis 16.
- Fig. 8 another embodiment of the pin holder 1 is shown.
- the longitudinal slots 14 are in this case Area of its end 24 widened drop-shaped, so that the retaining tabs 18 are narrowed in this area in the circumferential direction.
- the approximately U-shaped profile of the holding tongues 18 for flexing to the back of the "U", ie, weakening in the opposite direction to the free legs of the U.
- Fig. 8 the protective sleeve 49 is also shown in its Anspitzwolf 52. In this illustration, it becomes clear that the cutting edge 48 of the tapping knife 42 is accessible from the outside 10.
- FIG. 9 to 15 another embodiment of the pin holder 1 is shown.
- the total length L of the pin holder 1 in this case is 24 centimeters and thus corresponds to the length of a conventional, folded folding rule.
- the mounting bracket 28 is fastened with its fixed end 30 in the region of the insertion end 6 on one of the retaining tabs 18.
- the distance of the fixed end 30 to the insertion end 6 is small compared to the length of the mounting bracket 28.
- Fig. 9 and Fig. 12 can be seen extending the clamping webs 20 (in contrast to the preceding embodiments) of the retaining tabs 18 over the entire (inner) length of the interior 4 to a (in the region of the tip end 12 arranged) bottom 70 of the interior 4.
- the Zimmermannstatt 58 rests over almost its entire length inserted into the pin quiver 1 (namely, except for its tapered writing tip 64) on the clamping webs 20 and is thus held tilt-stable.
- windows 72 are formed in the region of the tip end 12, specifically in the region of the bottom 70 of the interior 4, via which the interior 4 is in communication with the outside 10. Through these windows 72 can optionally via the insertion opening 8 into the interior 4 penetrated dirt and / or liquid from the interior 4 to the outside arrive so that the dirt and / or the liquid does not accumulate in the interior 4.
- the tip end 12 is used in a floor 70 upstream region for receiving the Anspitzmessers 42.
- the trough 44 in which the Anspitzmesser 42 in the intended assembly according to Fig. 12 to 14 rests, extends exactly or at least approximately up to half of the cross section of the base body 2.
- On the opposite side of the base body 2 is an oblique contact surface 74 - again trough-shaped - molded into the cylinder-like base body 2.
- the trough 44 is connected via an opening 76 with the bearing surface 74 bearing side of the base body 2 in combination.
- the cutting edge 48 of the Anspitzmessers 42 is in this breakthrough 76 a.
- the opening 76 and the trough 44 are also bounded by a frame web 78 which is parallel to the longitudinal axis 16 to the outside 10 out.
- the frame web 78 is arranged such that the cutting edge 48 is only accessible from the contact surface 74 for sharpening the pin 58.
- the frame web 78 On its side facing the contact surface 74, the frame web 78 has a flat or slightly convex guide surface 80, which is set back parallel to the contact surface 74 and slightly opposite to it.
- a slotted step is formed between the abutment surface 74 and the guide surface 80.
- the cutting edge 48 is in particular such that it (and in particular its free surface) is aligned with the contact surface 74.
- the offset of the guide surface 80 to the abutment surface 74, and thus the "height" of the said step are in the manner of a planer or sparger a cutting thickness (chip thickness), thus limiting the maximum in a train of the carpenter's pin 58ferschneende material thickness.
- a cutting thickness chip thickness
- the height of the step between the guide surface 80 and the abutment surface 74 is selected such that there is sufficiently high certainty that a user does not intersect the chopping blade 42 when passing over the guide surface 80 and abutment surface 74 with a finger.
- the frame web 78 thus serves both to protect the Anspitzmessers 42 and as a spacer for specifying the chip thickness.
- the breakthrough 76 and the trough 44 are used during tipping as ejection window (voltage ejection opening) for the lifted chips.
