- Figure 10 corresponds to Figure 5 and Figure 11 corresponds to Figure 8 .
- the elevator maintenance person steps on a stepladder carried into the cab and inserts, for example, a steel tape 20 from below into a gap having width G formed between adjacent end portions of the middle ceiling plate 3 and of the left ceiling plate 5 from below the car lighting fixture.
- this steel tape 20 is formed from a plate-like member having a thickness smaller than width G and a predetermined length. And by use of the top end portion of the steel tape 20, the protrusion 11c of the supporting metal fitting 11 is caused to move to one side (the rear side of the cage in Embodiment 1) against the urging force of the spring 14.
- FIG. 10 shows the disengaged condition of the protrusion 11c of the supporting metal fitting 11 and the top end portion of the engaging plate 8.
- the maintenance person can close the left ceiling plate 5 by reversing the above-described procedure. That is, the maintenance person first moves the right end portion of the left ceiling plate 5 upward, with the hinge 6 serving as the center. And the maintenance person aligns the bottom surface of the left ceiling plate 5 and the bottom surface of the middle ceiling plate 3 to be flush with each other and inserts the steel plate 20 into the gap formed between the left ceiling plate 5 and the middle ceiling plate 3, thereby causing this steel tape 20 to move the protrusion 11c of the supporting metal fitting 11 to the notch 8a of the engaging plate 8. And the protrusion 11c of the supporting metal fitting 11 to be arranged below the top end portion of the engaging plate 8.
- the elevator maintenance person can carry out the opening and closing of the left ceiling plate 5 and the right ceiling plate 4 only by a simple operation using the steel tape 20 from inside the cab and readily perform the maintenance and inspection of the car lighting fixture, the replacement of internal equipment and the like.
- the car lighting fixture has an excellent decorative appearance because the width of the gaps formed on both sides of the middle ceiling plate 3 is small. Even when the weight of the right ceiling plate 4 and the left ceiling plate 5 increases, it is possible to positively hold the right ceiling plate 4 and the left ceiling plate 5 by use of the supporting metal fitting 11 and the engaging plate 8.
- the protrusion 11c of the supporting metal fitting 11 which supports the right end portion of the left ceiling plate 5 and the left end portion of the right ceiling plate 4 as well as the top end portion of the engaging plate 8 which engages with this protrusion 11c are formed from plate-like members which are substantially horizontally arranged, and the protrusion 11c and the top end portion of the engaging plate 8 can be released from an engaged condition by horizontally moving the protrusion 11c. Therefore, by reducing the vertical thickness of the car lighting fixture, it is possible to readily adapt to space-saving designs. Therefore, the layout of various pieces of equipment within the shaft is not affected.
- Embodiment 1 by providing the right ceiling plate 4 and left ceiling plate 5 each formed from a movable ceiling portion on both sides of the middle ceiling plate 3 and arranging the lighting body 1 nearer to the middle ceiling plate 3, it is also possible to carry out the opening and closing operation of the right ceiling plate 4 and the left ceiling plate 5 and the replacement work of the lighting body 1 in one place, thereby making it possible to further improve the ease of work.
