Definitions
- twin contact springs as similar from DE-B-11 75 807 .
- DE-U-94 04 775 and DE-C-972 072 are known, but there is the difficulty that the spring arms formed by the longitudinal slot break more easily than the undivided spring. In such a case, although the relay itself is still functional, but the broken spring arm can lead to unforeseen short circuits.
- Another problem of the known twin contact spring is that the individual spring arms are much softer than the undivided spring, so that when welding a contact of the corresponding spring arm is not stiff enough to hold the actuator in the closed contact position. For these reasons, the use of the known twin contact springs in safety relays is not permitted.
- DE-A-32 24 468 shows an arrangement in which the contact points of two fixed contacts work together with a common contact point of a bridge contact spring.
- a contact unit with the features specified in the preamble of claim 1 is made EP 0 081 164 A1 and DE-U-90 15 406 known. Both writings show no safety relays.
- the invention has for its object to provide a contact unit, the reliability of the contact in safety relays, i. Relay with positively driven contacts, increased.
- two contact points are provided on the contact spring, which are arranged transversely to the longitudinal extent of the contact spring and cooperate with the same fixed contact or provided with this mating contact points, wherein the two contact points are formed on the fixed contact in the form of a common contact piece.
- the fact that the contact spring is not only flexible in at least one area, but also has increased torsional ability about its longitudinal axis, ensures that both contact pairs close even when the free end of the contact spring carrying the contact pieces is not parallel to the fixed contact bearing the mating contacts runs.
- the contact spring according to the invention is obtained continuously in its one-piece shape, so that spring breakage is less likely and possibly leads to a complete failure of the relay by interruption.
- the contact unit is formed so that the contact spring against the fixed contact is inclined, so that a first closing and last opening Vor animation and a last closing and first opening main contact arise.
- the first closing and last-opening contact pair is equipped with the properties suitable for a load contact, while the other pair of contacts has the qualities of a signal contact.
- FIGS. 1 to 6 serve for explanation; they show no contact arrangements according to the invention.
- the in the FIGS. 1 and 2 shown contact unit consists essentially of a contact spring 10 which is fastened with its one end to a support 11 , riveted about, is a free end of the contact spring 10 opposite fixed contact 12 and an attacking on the contact spring 10 actuator 13, in the here assumed embodiment with an in FIG. 2 indicated relay armature 14 is coupled.
- the fixed contact 12 opposite free end of the contact spring 10 is widened relative to its main part and carries two contact pieces 15, 16 which are arranged transversely to the longitudinal extent of the contact spring 10 side by side (in the drawing below each other). Likewise is the Fixed contact 12 with two contact pieces 17, 18 which face the contact pieces 15, 16 of the contact spring 10 and cooperate with each of these.
- the free end of the contact spring 10 is at an angle to the fixed contact 12, so that the contact pieces 15, 16 of the contact spring 10 connecting straight line intersects the contact pieces 17, 18 of the fixed contact 12 connecting line at an acute angle.
- This inclination of the free end of the contact spring 10 is due to the fact that the contact spring is vorortiert in a located between its fixed and free end torsion region 19 about its longitudinal axis.
- the actuator 13 is arranged and configured to engage the contact spring 10 near its free end and to engage with both opposed surfaces of the contact spring 10 .
- the contact areas 20, 21 of the actuator 13 in the direction of the respective surface of the contact spring 10 are convex.
- FIG. 2 shows the moment in which the upper contact piece 15 of the contact spring 10, the contact piece 17 of the fixed contact 12 just touched.
- this pivoting movement is ensured by a sufficiently sized twistability of the torsion 19 until the lower contact pieces 16, 18 touch each other.
- the subsequent further movement of the actuator 13 to the right in FIG. 2 until the end position of the armature 14 now causes the fixed contact 12 deflected while the contact force is increased at the two contact pairs.
- the contact piece 15 sized larger than the corresponding to the main or signal contact contact piece 16.
- the contact pieces 15, 17 of the precontact of less noble material than the contact pieces 16, 18 of the main contact.
- electromagnetic relay partially shown comprises a base body 22 from which protrudes a yoke leg 23 of a (not shown) coil passing through the yoke.
- the yoke leg 23 is located between the two arms of the generally H-shaped relay armature 14 in this embodiment , which is pivotally mounted about a vertical center axis on a bearing pin 24 mounted on the base body 22 .
- the coupled to the relay armature 14 actuator 13 is guided by integrally formed on the base body 22 guide columns 25 in its plane and engages around, as in FIGS. 4 to 6 shown in more detail, the contact spring 10, the contact pieces 15, 16 cooperate with the fixed contact 12 attached contact pieces 17, 18 .
- the relay is shown equipped with two contact springs 10 . Terminal pins 26 of the fixed contacts 12 protrude from the base body 22 down.
- the torsion portion 19 is realized by reducing the spring width.
- the spring 10 in this area 19 also in their material thickness reduced or otherwise treated to increase the torsional ability.
- the area 19 is between the riveted to the contact carrier 11 fixed end of the contact spring 10 and the attack region of the actuator 13.
- the contact spring 10 has in this attack area and at its fixed end its full width, which is increased again at the free end, to create between the contact pieces 15 and 16 sufficient distance.
- the actuator 13 engages the contact spring 10 in a stiffened area.
- the contact spring 10 extends between the two contact regions 20, 21 of the actuator 13, of which the region 20 is convex or convex, to allow when pressing the contact spring 10 pivoting about its longitudinal central axis and thus a contact on both contact pairs 15, 17 and 16, 18 to ensure.
- a convex or spherical design is not required. If the contact spring 10 is biased in the closed position, the voltage applied to the opening 21 on its surface 21 of the actuator 13 should be spherical.
- the two located on the fixed contact 12 contact points are formed on a common contact piece 27 , the contact surface is dimensioned so that they can work together with the two separate contact pieces 15 and 16 of the contact spring.
- the contact surface of the common contact piece 27 is spherically shaped.
- An alternative is to arrange a single continuous contact piece on both the contact spring 10 and the fixed contact 12 and to provide at least the contact piece on the contact spring with two projections for generating two spatially separated contact points.
- the contact spring 10 is provided in the direction of its longitudinal central axis with a bead 28 which increases the rigidity of the contact spring 10 in its longitudinal direction in the region between the contact pieces 15, 16 and the engagement region of the actuator 13 .
- a stiffening of the contact spring 10 can be achieved by increasing its thickness in the region between the contact pieces 15, 16 and the engagement region of the actuator 13 .

Description
Figur 2 entsprechenden schematischen Darstellung.
