Claims (17)
- A printing couple of a rotary printing press with a transfer cylinder (02) with a channel (14; 16) for receiving ends of at least one packing (09), a forme cylinder (03) arranged so as to co-operate with the first transfer cylinder (02) as a pair of cylinders (01) and a counter-impression cylinder co-operating with the transfer cylinder (02), wherein the barrel of the transfer cylinder (02) and the forme cylinder (03) has a width which corresponds to approximately six vertical or horizontal newspaper pages, and the forme cylinder (03) co-operating with the transfer cylinder (02) has two channels (12; 13) offset by 180° with respect to each other in the peripheral direction, characterized in that the two channels (12; 13) of the forme cylinder (03) which are offset by 180° with respect to each other in the peripheral direction extend in each case substantially over the entire length of the barrel of the forme cylinder (03) as far as an edge on the end face, as viewed in the longitudinal direction of the transfer cylinder (02) only a single packing (09) is provided, which extends substantially over the entire periphery as far as the region of the channel (14) as viewed in the peripheral direction, and bearer rings are provided on the cylinders (02; 03).

- A printing couple according to Claim 1, characterized in that the ratio of the perimeter of the transfer cylinder (02) to the forme cylinder (03) is a whole number.
- A printing couple according to Claim 1, characterized in that the printing formes (11) are arranged with their ends in a channel (12; 13) or at least in alignment along the forme cylinder (03).
- A printing couple according to Claim 1, characterized in that the forme cylinder (03) comprises a plurality of printing formes (11) arranged one behind the other in the peripheral direction.
- A printing couple according to Claim 1, characterized in that the barrel of the forme cylinder (03) has a perimeter which corresponds to at least two horizontal or vertical newspaper pages.
- A printing couple according to Claim 1, characterized in that in the region of the external face the channel (12; 13) of the forme cylinder (03) has a width (b12) in the peripheral direction which is greater than twice the thickness of the printing forme (11) and is in the region of between 1 mm and 5 mm, and in particular less than or equal to 3 mm.
- A printing couple according to Claim 1, characterized in that the channel (12; 13; 14; 16) has at least one holding device (26; 33).
- A printing couple according to Claim 1, characterized in that the packing (09) is constructed in a plurality of layers, comprising a support plate (21) and a layer (22) joined to the support plate (21).
- A printing couple according to Claim 1, characterized in that the channel (14) of the transfer cylinder (02) is inclined by from 30° to 60° with respect to the tangent of the external face.
