Claims (20)

  1. Printing unit of a rotary printing press, comprising a transfer cylinder (02; 07), a forme cylinder (03; 08) arranged so as to cooperate with the transfer cylinder (02; 07) as a pair of cylinders (01; 06) and a cylinder cooperating with the transfer cylinder (02; 07) via a print medium (04), the body of the transfer cylinder (02; 07) and of the forme cylinder (03; 08) being formed so as to have triple width and having in each case a width which corresponds to about six horizontal or vertical newspaper pages, and the forme cylinder (03; 08) having, in the circumferential direction, two channels (12; 13) offset approximately by 180° relative to one another, characterized in that the two channels (12; 13) of the forme cylinder (03; 08) each extend up to the end face or, except for an end edge, virtually over the total length of a body of the forme cylinder (03; 08), in that the transfer cylinder (02) has three printing blankets (09) arranged side by side in the longitudinal direction of the transfer cylinder (02) and in each case approximately over the total circumference, in that the transfer cylinder (02; 07) has, in the longitudinal direction, a continuous channel (14) in which the three printing blankets (09) are held flush next to one another in the axial direction, and in that the packing (09) has a multilayer form, having a backing plate (21) and a layer (22) connected to the backing plate (21).
