Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a handstanding exercise apparatus for th whole body, by which the user can reinforce the muscle of the upper part of the body and exercise the waist, abdomen and the like through an upper body exercise device installed onto the lower support of the machine while doing the handstand.
  • the present invention relates to a handstanding exercise apparatus, in which the bearing installed between the back plate and the frame absorbs the shock to the user's waist, rfhi ⁇ h can be caused when the user's hand-standing position is turned over suddenly.
  • the present invention relates to a handstanding exercise apparatus, in which a trapezoid form of the lower structure of the frame prevents the shoulders from hitting the frame while the user is exercising. Moreover, this handstanding exercise apparatus can prevent the user's shoulders from hitting the frame while s/he is exercising by using the upper body trainer as well as raise the stability with the "R" form of the side fabric perpendicular to the lower structure and the shoulder parts of the back plate on which the user lies partially improved.
  • the handstanding exercise apparatus comprises the standard-sized back plate where the user lies, a frame fixed to enable the back plate to stand vertically and the tools for fixing body installed on them (i.e. the back plate and frame) .
  • the user's shoulders would hit the frame when s/he twisted her/his body handstanding on the conventional apparatus since the form of frames is similar to a square pillar welded at a right angle to the lower fabric which is made up of big and small pipes or wood put together at right angles .
  • the back plate of the conventional apparatus was simply tetragonal so the user's shoulders would hit the back plate when s/he twisted her/his body while hanging upside down.
  • this vertical apparatus comprises a back plate with a safety belt, a frame which supports the back plate so that it is upright at a right angle, and a biceps press (training apparatuses) whose grips are near the ground with the other parts fixed to the frame.
  • this apparatus only permits the user to exercise her/his arms by doing push-ups and supporting her/his entire weight with the grips while staying half upright .
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a better handstanding apparatus so that it can exercise the whole body, which (1) enables the user to move the whole body without hitting the shoulders against the frame, and (2) makes intensive upper body exercises possible while handstanding.
  • Another object of the present invention is to provide a handstand exercise apparatus which can have a whole body effect.
  • the exercises will be able to: stretch the height of juveniles; correct the user's posture; produce vigorous blood circulation to the brain and throughout the whole body; prevent dementia/stroke/paralysis; enhance the beauty of skin by pushing out thrombus or blood congestion of the body in excrement (through which geriatric diseases such as arterioscleroses and myocardial infarction, can be prevented) ; and finally bring reduce fatigue or ease tension through stretching.
  • the men can raise their sexual capacity by strengthening their hypogastric center.
  • the remarkable characteristic of the present invention, or a handstanding exercise apparatus with a whole body effect is that it can solve the technical problems described in (1) , which lies in the trapezoid form of the bottom of the frame.
  • the bottom support for example, can be made by linking a relatively short reinforcement bar perpendicularly to the two relatively long side bars . It can be more effective if the two side bars are placed unparalleled with the larger space of the front end that the user can see handstanding on the apparatus than that of the back end.
  • the frame can be made more stable if several reinforcement bars are placed between the two side bars.
  • the present invention which settles technical problems described in (1) is characterized by the "R" form of the frame's two side supports .
  • the side supports can be made by bending the given pipes into the "R” form or welding several pipes of different lengths into the "R” form. In this case, it is better to set the bottom end of the standing side bars at the same points on the bottom frame of both sides with a larger gap towards the bottom.
  • a more desirable example of the present invention has standing bars of both sides fixed to the two side bottom bars, constituting the bottom part mentioned above, and axis supports installed at the upper part of standing side bars.
  • Each axis support has a rotation axis installed on both sides of the back plate, which will be described below.
  • the frame of the present invention formed as such prevents the user's body from hitting the frame by securing a large enough space to shake or twist the body right and left when the user practises upper body exercise while handstanding. Compared to the conventional rectangular frame, this frame ensures greater stability since the gravity center of the body moves only between the bars of both sides on the bottom regardless of the intensity, of the movement .
  • (2) is the upper body exercise device, added to the conventional handstanding apparatus (comprising a back plate and the frame) .
  • This frame can be made in conventional form by setting square pillars on the rectangular bottom frame as well as in the form described above. However, in both cases, it is better to have the axis supports in order to support the rotation axis of the back plate (details of which will be described below) .
  • the back plate refers to the short plate fixed to the rectangular back plate frame and the back plate frame mentioned above.
  • the rotation axes which are connected to the axis supports of the back plate frame are protruding from the center of both sides of the back plate. Footholders are placed on either side of relatively short sides of the plate. If a part is eliminated, desirably the parts that a user's shoulders can touch, the apparatus is more effective since the user can exercise without hitting her/his shoulders against the frame or back plate regardless of the intensity of the movement.
  • a biceps press, chest-press or butterfly can be adopted as such an upper body trainer/ developer.
  • a biceps press is considered an acceptable device to exercise the upper body, it is desirable to install it at the front, side or back of the user handstanding.
  • the "front” refers to the moving direction of the user s head when s/he is doing stomach crunches while handstanding.
  • This combination permits a workout of the whole body since the user can carry out various upper body exercises such as the one using the biceps press while s/he is handstanding and the one twisting the body while s/he is using the biceps press.
  • a buffer between the back plate and the frame.
  • a wide spread gas shock absorber or spring cushion cylinder can be used for as the buffer.
  • a gas shock absorber is adopted as the buffer, the user can handstand or return to the initial position (horizontally lying down) with ease since s/he can operate, while lying down, the valve of the gas regulator or the switch attached to the above buffer.
  • this buffer absorbs and eliminates most of the shock arising from when the horizontal back plate transforms into the vertical position, which facilitates posture change.
  • the spring cushion cylinder is adopted as a buffer, the user can handstand or return to the initial position without shocking the waist, simply by lifting or raising the body slightly while holding the frame so s to change slowly the back plate's position.
  • compositional option can incorporate an oil pressure cylinder or an air pressure cylinder between the back plate and frame. In this case, it is possible not to apply the buffer described above. Although it is desirable to make the frame, in particular among the other elements mentioned above, with iron or non-ferrous metal, which is cheap and durable, or lightweight synthetic plastic such as engineering plastics.

  • the frame (100) of the present model consists of the bottom support (110) , which is put on the ground or the bottom of the building, and supporting side bars (120) which stand on the right and left sides of the bottom support.
  • the plane figure of the bottom support (110) composed of the two long side bars (111) , put unparalleled to each other with a relatively short reinforcement bar connecting the two side bars (111) between them, results in a trapezoid shape.
  • the bottom ends of the supporting side bars (120) of the "R" form are welded to the side bars (111) mentioned above.
  • the distance between the welded points of supporting side bars (120) is greater than that between the upper parts that are rounded off where axis supports (113) are installed.
  • the axis support (113) is illustrated in the drawing as a pipe with a hole that should be used to insert the rotational axis at its middle point (and can be replaced with a conventional bearing) .
  • the rotational axes (210) connected to the axis supports (113) protrude from the longer sides of back plate (200) .
  • the back plate which supports the user's back is installed at an incline in relation to the back plate frame.

  • the foot placements (520) of the back plate is at a certain distance from the supporting part No. 1
  • No. 2 (530) is installed so that it can permit circular movements at a certain angle, according to the locator.
  • the biceps press (300) applied in the present model as an upper body training device comprises a spring (310) attached to the above frame and the grip (320) at the other end.
  • a spring (310) attached to the above frame and the grip (320) at the other end.
  • the biceps press is installed on the reinforcement bar (112) , supporting side bars (120) , front end of the side bars (111) , or on the bottom part where the distance between the bars is larger than that at the back side.
  • the biceps press has a connection pipe (400) inserted in the side bars used to rotate.
  • the end of the spring (310) is attached to this connection pipe (400) , which is installed at the intersecting point of the reinforcement bar and the two side bars.
  • the spring of the biceps press can function as the spring shock absorber (cushion cylinder) to be described below.
  • the handstanding apparatus for the whole body exercise of the present model could have a gas shock absorber (600) between the reverse side of the back plate (200) and the frame (100) as demonstrated in FIG 4.
  • a spring shock absorber which can be made of three different compositions: first, an operating handle (620) with a projection (640) at the center point; second, damping elements (630) such as a spring inserted in both sides of the operating handle; third, a housing with the operating handle above and damping elements built-in with both ends of the operating handle are partially exposed.
  • the functioning of the handstanding apparatus for whole body exercise composed as such can be explained as follows (based on FIG 1 and FIG 4) .
  • the user stands on the foot placements (520) and fixes her/his ankles with the ankle holders (500) .
  • the shock absorber (600) applied is a gas shock absorber. If a spring shock absorber (cushion cylinder) is applied instead as illustrated in FIG 8, the user
  • s/he can move her/his body in all directions holding the biceps press at the back of her/his head. S/he can also use the biceps press that is installed at each side near the shoulders by pushing and pulling them towards the chest. In addition, s/he can train the upper body, moving in all directions, while pulling the biceps press installed in front of her/his head. According to the present model example, the user can exercise without hitting the shoulders against the frame, regardless of the degree of movement since the bottom supporting structure is a trapezoid and the side supporting bars are of the "R" form.
  • This structure allows the user to exercise with greater stability compared to the conventional handstanding apparatus because the center of gravity moves only between the side bars on the bottom even if s/he moves the body in any direction.
  • the user can turn back to initial stand-up position by controlling the valve of the gas regulator or the switch in the opposite direction.
  • FIG 2 depicts an outline view of the second model in the present invention of a handstanding apparatus for the whole body workout. It is the same as the first model example in its composition except for the fact that its frame (100) is rectangular as in a conventional apparatus. Thus, a detailed explanation of its usage and/or effect will be omitted because they are the same in the first embodiment example .
  • FIG 3 depicts an outline view of the third model of the present invention of a handstanding apparatus for the whole body workout .
  • the frame (100) of the present embodiment is characterized by the two reinforcement bars (112) applied on the bottom part (110) , which eventually increases stability.
  • the part of the back plate (200) that the user's shoulders can touch is removed so that it allows the user to train the upper body without limiting the movement of the shoulders or hitting them against the frame .
  • the present invention covers all the changes in the manufacturers' capabilities, including the modifications described above.
  • the present invention allows the user to do upper body exercises, handstanding without hitting the shoulders against the frame. It strengthens legs more than twice than before, straightens knees, ankle joints, vertebral column and waist, and has a greater exercise effect by bending and straightening the abdomen while it is expanded.
  • the whole body exercises mentioned above produces blood concentration in upper body so that it better stimulates blood circulation from head to toe after the exercise.
  • This purifies the brain and prevents geriatric diseases such as chilled hands and feet, stroke, dementia, arteriosclerosis, heart disease, and diabetes .
  • the present invention contributes to eliminating thrombus or blood congestion out of the body via excrement, to changing the body form by reducing surplus fat in abdomen or hips, to getting rid of constipation through active intestinal movement and in particular, to increasing sexual capacity by stimulating hypogastric center.
