Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device and a method for the input and storage of banknotes, wherein checked banknotes are stored individually or as a bundle in a stacking device temporarily.
  • Such a device and such a method are known for example from EP 0 613 107 B1.
  • checked bank notes are stacked by means of a spiral tray stacker on a cover plate of a first cassette and temporarily stored.
  • usually at least a part of the bank notes acting in this intermediate cash position is transported to the final deposit to a second cassette laterally offset from the first cassette.
  • the banknotes temporarily stacked on the lid above the first cassette are laterally displaced towards the second cassette by means of a frame from the lid of the first cassette serving as a stacking surface, into which they then fall freely.
  • US-A-4,825,378 discloses an apparatus according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the object of the present invention to provide a device for inputting and depositing banknotes which, in a simple structure, permits a transport of a banknote stack to an end-of-line counter, e.g. a final cassette allowed, in which the original stacking order can be maintained with high security.
  • another object is to provide an associated banknote input and storage method.
  • the present invention has thus been accomplished on the basis of the finding that a simply constructed device with banknote input and / or filing function can be realized when part of the transport device itself is part of the stacking device when the banknotes are transported from the stacking device to the end-of-line is.
  • the solution according to the invention can avoid a change in the original stacking sequence, wherein the device, due to the omission of an additional transport element to the stacking device, such as the frame according to EP 0 613 107 B1, at the same time can be constructed simpler.
  • the banknotes are preferably by a clamping element on the stack carrier unit of the stacking device clamped in order to additionally secure the banknotes during transport against slipping or the like.
  • the clamping element is particularly preferably connected to the stack carrier unit itself, so that it can come during transport to no relative movement between the clamping element and stack carrier unit or storage area.
  • the shelf after having transported the bills to the position associated with the end-of-store, is pushed away below the bills, so that the bills, e.g. can be stored or stamped on an immediately underneath spring-loaded stack bottom in the final cassette or on this floor previously stacked banknotes.
  • either the clamping element can provide further fixing, or alternatively the banknotes are fixed in their position by an additional retaining element when the tray is withdrawn.
  • This restraint element can, for example, be fixedly mounted in the region of the end cassette and positionally immutable so that the stack, when it is withdrawn, retains its position Storage surface on the retaining element in its given position, for example, is retained just above the cassette opening.
  • this retaining element may for example also be a component of the stack carrier unit itself, which is fixed in the end cassette assigned position, for example by a mechanical lock in its retaining position, while the support surface of the stack carrier unit is displaced relative thereto, whereby these two components of the stack carrier unit in these Endkassetten Position are decoupled.
  • a stamping element for stamping the banknotes which are in the second position into the cassette will advantageously be present.
  • FIGS. 1-4 A first exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention is shown in FIGS. 1-4. As can be seen in particular in Figures 1 and 2, which represent the device in two different operating conditions, the device 1 u.a. following features.
  • the device 1 is used for depositing cash, in particular also for entering and depositing banknotes.
  • the device 1 comprises an input tray 2 for banknotes, which consists of feed wheels 3, a singler roller 4 and a scrub conceptionerad 5, which are used for separating the banknotes entered into the compartment 2.
  • the isolated notes are by means of the roller transport path 6 through a test unit 7 with several Sensor modules 7 passed and transported to a storage area 9.
  • the sensor modules 7 are used for checking physical properties of the banknotes transported through, in particular for checking the authenticity and the denomination of the banknotes.
  • the storage area 9 consists of three stacking devices 10a-c with Spiralfachstaplerrad 11, in which the individual notes are fed via associated diverters depending on the results of the review.
  • Bottom stacking device 10c is used to store all other banknotes, ie for banknotes whose authenticity could be confirmed and their denomination determined.
  • the lowermost stacker 10c acts as an intermediate cash register in which real banknotes are temporarily stored in a final cash register 16 or reissued to the operator prior to final filing.
  • the device shown here is also characterized in particular by the fact that the transport device between the cashier and the end cashier itself is part of the stacking device 10c.
  • the stacking device 10c includes this in addition to the spiral tray stacker 11 with stripping 12 a stack carrier unit 13.
  • the stack carrier unit 13 the construction of a first embodiment can be seen especially in Figure 3, inter alia, has a cross-sectionally L-shaped tray 14 with rear wall 15th on.
  • the stack carrier unit 13 is designed to be movable, so that the bank notes 17 stacked in the stacking device 10c on the storage surface 14 from the first position assigned to the stacking device 10c, which is shown in FIG. 1, into the second position assigned to the end cash register 16 can be transported, which is shown in the figure 2.
  • a banknote stacking cassette 16, into which the banknotes can be stamped by means of a punch 30, serves as an end cashbox.
  • FIGS. 3 and 4 The transport or guide mechanism for the guided process of the stack carrier unit 13 from the stacking area to the end cash area can be seen in particular from FIGS. 3 and 4.
  • a transport carriage 18 is attached laterally.
  • the drive of the transport carriage 18 takes place in the illustrated embodiment as a toothed belt drive, because this allows a simple deflection of the stack carrier unit 13 from the oblique Abstapel- and intermediate cash position of Figure 1 in the horizontal Endkassenposition of Figure 2.
  • the movement of the transport carriage 18 is thus composed of a curve piece and a straight line.
  • the guide device further comprises the gate assembly 20 shown in Figure 4, the guided over pulleys 21 timing belt 22 in the form an endless belt, wherein the drive of the toothed belt 22 is controlled by a drive shaft 23 with associated motor control.
  • the drive shaft 23 and the guide rollers 21 are rotatably fixed in two parallel and spaced apart guide rails 24, wherein in the figure 4, the rear of these two guide rails is shown.
  • the stack carrier unit further comprises a clamping element 26 attached to the upper side of the rear wall 15.
  • the clamping element 26 consists in particular of two rigidly connected clamping fingers 26, which extend from a plane parallel to the rear wall 15 by a variable angle can be rotated in order to clamp the banknotes stacked on the shelf 14 secured against slipping.
  • FIG. 3 the banknote bundle 17 stacked on the depositing surface 14 is shown transparently for better clarity. Therefore, the four mutually parallel linear passage openings 27 in the storage area 14 and the rear wall 15 can still be seen.
  • these through holes 27 serve to engage four complementarily arranged retaining plates 28, which are rigidly arranged in the end cash box 16 and serve to retain the bank notes above the end cassette 16.
  • the device according to FIGS. 1 to 4 can be used for carrying out a first exemplary embodiment of the method according to the invention as follows, for example.
  • the stack carrier unit 13 is in the position shown in FIG. 1, in which the rear wall 15 is aligned with the stripping element 12.
  • the clamping element 26 is arranged parallel to the rear wall 15 in order to allow a stacking of banknotes on the support surface 14.
  • the operator now enters the banknotes to be paid into the device in the input tray 2, these are occasionally fed to the test device 7 and determines there the authenticity and denomination of the banknotes.
  • the unrecognized reject bills are then dispensed into the output tray 10a and false bills are placed in the other bin 10b.
  • the banknotes determined by the checking device 7 as genuine and after their denomination are stored stacked on the tray 14 by means of the spiral tray stacker 11. Since the stack carrier unit 13 is not arranged horizontally, but inclined by, for example, 60 ° to the horizontal, the banknotes are already stacked flush with the rear wall 15 during storage.
  • the serving as an intermediate cash stack carrier unit 13 temporarily stored banknotes are processed in one of the following two ways.
  • the banknotes 17 are removed from the teller 13 by a lid flap automatically unlocked and opened by the control unit 8 which is not shown in the drawings is.
  • the clamping member 26 is rotated in a clamping contact with the stacked on the shelf 14 notes 17 and then moved via the slide guide 25 by means of the transport carriage 18, the stack carrier unit 13 in a position above the cassette 16, wherein the cassette lid 29, as shown in 2 is shown already pulled away laterally.
  • the punch 30 now moves down, as shown in FIG. 2, and presses the bank notes 17 into the cassette 16.
  • the base in the cassette 16, on which the banknotes 17 are now stacked, is thereby moved, for example, guided by an actuator down in the cassette 16.
  • the displacement may e.g. also be done by a coupled to the base spring element.
  • the punch is pushed back to its original position upwards and the stack carrier unit 13 is transported back from the position shown in FIG. 2 back into the position according to FIG. 1, so that a new deposit operation can begin.
  • the lid 29 is not usually displaced laterally onto the cassette opening after each deposit operation, but only immediately before a cassette change or in the event of a fault in order to prevent access to the banknotes contained therein.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 diagrammatically show a side view and a perspective view obliquely from above of a stack carrier unit 13 'with associated transport system for transporting stacked banknotes from the stacking position to the end-check position.
  • This stack carrier unit 13 ' can be used, for example, in the device according to Figures 1 and 2 instead of the transponder system shown in Figures 3 and 4 with slotted guide, wherein the representation of Device components according to Figures 5 and 6 when used in the device according to Figures 1 and 2, of course, is considered to be reversed.
  • FIGS. 5 and 6 furthermore differ from those according to FIGS. 3 and 4 in particular by the configuration of the guide device for moving the stack carrier unit 13 'from the stacking position shown on the right in the drawings to the left-hand side of the endkasse It should be noted that FIGS. 5 and 6 thus do not illustrate two different stack carrier units 13 'which are present at the same time but only one single stack carrier unit 13' in two different states.
  • the stack carrier unit 13' or its associated transport carriage 18 ' is actively moved back and forth on a linear rail 31 with a frame-actuated pivot attachment 32.
  • the transport carriage 18 includes a rigidly connected to the rear wall 15' first axis 33 which is rotatably connected to a spaced-apart second axis 34.
  • a movement guided along the line R1 linearly with the aid of the linear rail 31 in combination with the movement of the second axis 34 that is pivotable along the rotational direction D1 through the link-actuated pivoting attachment 32 can thus be assured, forcibly guided transport Stack carrier unit 13 'between the stacking and the end-cash position can be realized.
  • pins 35 are mounted, which are in the end-of-the-counter assigned position in which the stacked on the shelf 14' banknotes directly above the cassette opening, against the associated retaining elements 36 encounter.
  • a third embodiment of a device according to the invention is illustrated by the illustrations of Figures 7 and 8.
  • a chain transport system is used as the guide device 20 "for positively guided transport of the stack carrier unit 13.
  • the use of such a chain transport system has the particular advantage that it can be realized in a space-saving manner because it does not have to protrude far beyond the area of the stack carrier unit 13.
  • the underside of the support surface 14 of the stack carrier unit 13 is connected at two end regions lying in a direction perpendicular to the transport direction T, each with a bolt 38 whose radially outwardly projecting guide pins 39 engage in a hole 40 of a chain 41.
  • the chain 41 is mounted in a dimensionally stable bearing housing 42 with a somewhat C-shaped cross section, so that the transport path of the stack carrier unit 13 can be predetermined by the shape of the bearing housing 42, in particular in the transport direction T.
  • this is connected in a region which is outside the transport path from the first to the second position, with a motor which pushes the chain 41 for transporting the stack carrier unit 13 between the first and second position back and forth.
  • the stack carrier unit 13 may be e.g. not only rigidly connected to the bolt 38, but preferably also rotatably mounted around this. This can be used to change the stack carrier unit 13 into an e.g. for the introduction of banknotes in the final cassette exactly matching position defined to twist.
