Definitions

  • the invention relates to a coin handling apparatus comprising an input unit for inputting coins, a storage unit for storing the input coins, and an output tray for dispensing coins.
  • the device is often referred to as a coin recycler, since both coins entered and coins entered can be re-issued in them.
  • Such coin recycler include an input unit through which the coins can be entered.
  • the coins entered as a coin quantity are separated by means of a singling unit.
  • the isolated coins are transported individually by means of a conveyor unit to a sensor unit, with the help of the authenticity of the coins and, where appropriate, their denomination is determined.
  • Subsequently, at least the coins classified as genuine are stored in a storage unit. For dispensing, the coins are again removed from the storage unit and dispensed via the output tray to an operator of the device.
  • the storage units are designed as fixed compartments in which the coins are received stacked.
  • the coins are here in usually fed from above and taken from the bottom of the so-called Münzhoppern, so that the removal takes place on the principle first in first out.
  • the storage unit comprises a drive unit with the aid of which the receiving compartments of the storage unit are moved along a predetermined endless path.
  • the storage unit further has a removal opening, via which the coins received in the receiving compartments can be fed directly to the delivery compartment are.
  • the removal opening is arranged in particular stationary.
  • the direct feeding of a coin from the receptacles to the output tray means that the coin is not received in another receptacle but is transported from the storage unit to the output tray without further storage.
  • the storage unit is thus in particular not a temporary storage in which the coins are only temporarily stored before they are then stored in a final storage, for example coin hoppers.
  • the drive unit moves the receiving compartments in particular continuously along the path.
  • the receiving compartments for feeding and / or to the Remove the coins so that an effective process is achieved.
  • the drive unit moves the receiving compartments in this case in particular at a constant speed.
  • the speed can also be varied. For example, the speed can be increased when a certain coin has to be paid out, which is accommodated in a receiving compartment, which, viewed in the direction of movement, is still relatively far away from the removal opening. This ensures that the coin to be issued can be issued faster.
  • the transport path extends in particular in a plane, this plane preferably being in the planned orientation of the device, d. H. at the orientation intended for the operation of the device is directed horizontally.
  • the storage unit is therefore also referred to as linear storage.
  • the receiving compartments are seen in the direction of movement, ie the direction in which the receiving compartments are moved, arranged one behind the other.
  • the storage unit comprises a stationary support element, on which rest the coins received in the receiving compartments, and a transport element moved relative to the support element with the aid of the drive unit.
  • the transport element in turn has a plurality of limiting elements which delimit the individual receiving compartments in the direction of movement.
  • the limiting elements are thus also moved with the transport element in the direction of movement and separate the individual receiving compartments from each other.
  • the resting on the support element coins contact the limiting elements and are also moved over this contact in the direction of movement on the support element resting. In this way, a particularly simple, space-saving storage unit is achieved.
  • the transport element has, in particular, a band guided over deflecting elements along the path, which limits the receiving compartments transversely to the direction of movement, at least on one side.
  • the deflecting elements may be rollers or wheels, for example.
  • the use of an elastic band as a transport element has the advantage that it has the necessary elasticity, so that it can be guided around the deflecting elements in a manner and therefore also curves can be formed, whereby the entire endless paths can be enclosed with the aid of only one band ,
  • the limiting elements are designed in particular as projecting from the tape pin and / or webs, which in the Contact receiving compartments recorded coins and thus in the direction of movement, in which move the tape and thus the pins and webs, with transported.
  • the pins or webs are arranged on a first side of the band. On one of these first side opposite the second side of the belt, in particular a toothing is provided, via which the belt with the aid of the drive unit can be driven in the direction of movement.
  • the drive unit is in particular an electric motor. Preferably, several electric motors can be provided for driving the band, so that a secure, uniform drive of the band is ensured.
  • the storage unit comprises a stationary side element running along the path, which delimits the receiving compartments transversely to the direction of movement in a first direction, wherein the band delimits the receiving compartments in a second direction in a first direction.
  • the receiving compartments between the belt and the side member are arranged and limited by these two and by the limiting elements.
  • the side element is in particular firmly connected to the support element.
  • the side member and the support member may be integrally formed.
  • the support element and / or the side member are formed as a sheet, whereby a high stability is achieved and a simple shaping is possible.
  • the side element and the transport element are arranged in particular on opposite sides of the path.
  • the path on one side is bounded by the band and on the other side by the side member, so that overall the receiving compartments are bounded on five sides by the band, the side member, the support member and the delimiting elements.
  • the receiving compartments instead of a band and a side member may be bounded laterally by two bands which are interconnected via the limiting elements.
  • the unit formed by the two bands and the limiting elements is moved together by the drive unit in the direction of movement.
  • the coins are supplied in particular in such a way that the coins contact the support element with their edges.
  • the coins contact the support element with their edges.
  • the support member limits the receiving compartments in the vertical direction, so that the weight of the coins is absorbed by the support element and the tape and / or the side member only have to exercise the lateral guidance and lateral limitation of the receiving compartments and do not have to absorb large forces.
  • the receiving compartments are designed in such a way and the coins are in particular supplied to the receiving compartments such that a maximum of one coin is received in each receiving compartment.
  • the removal opening is preferably formed as an opening in the support element, wherein this opening is closed by a closure element in a storage operating state in which the coins remain in the storage unit and are thus not removed.
  • the coins are transported over this closure element in the storage state and in this case in particular contact the closure element.
  • the shutter member is moved so that the opening is open at least so far that a coin falls through the opening when the accommodating compartment in which the coin is accommodated is located above this opening. In this way, it is achieved on the whole that the coins can be easily removed from the storage compartments.
  • the closure element is preferably by means of a magnet, in particular an electromagnet, between a closed position in which it closes the opening, and a removal position in which it does not close the opening, movable.
  • the closure element is thus arranged in the removal position and in the removal operating state in the removal position, in particular in the storage operating state.
  • the closure element may for example be designed as a flap, which is pivoted between these two positions about an axis of rotation.
  • the closure element can also be moved linearly between the two positions and, in this case, is in particular plate-shaped.
  • At least one elastic element is provided, which biases the band in the direction of the side element and thus pushes the limiting elements with their ends remote from the band to the side member. This ensures that no coins slip between the boundary elements and the side element and thus reach another receptacle than the receptacle to which they were originally added.
  • a plurality of elastic elements are provided, wherein the one elastic element or the elastic elements preferably each comprise a spring.
  • a slide-like guide element is provided, along which the coins slide from the removal opening to the output tray.
