Definitions
- the invention relates to a method according to the preamble of Claim 1 and an arrangement according to the preamble of claim 21.
- EP 1 in the prior art 005 984 A1 become known.
- the Sheets become in the conveying direction with one or two weakening lines provided and kinked to form a fold.
- the folded printed products become a saddle-shaped Pile collected, which is stapled. So that the back the printed products are as narrow as possible, they are pressed.
- EP 0 992 365 A1 discloses a process in which printed products also be folded individually before collating. The folded printed products are stacked, stapled and cut.
- Applicant's EP 0 869 092 has a method of manufacture of printed matter to the subject in which webs Printed and printed paper after a predetermined page sequence Single sheet to be cut. The cut sheets will be rotated by 90 ° in terms of their position and for further processing Investors 11 supplied.
- the sheet-wise folding of the sheets before the collation has the significant advantage that achieves a good folding quality can be and also versatile brochures with a comparatively narrow back can be made. at the said method and the corresponding arrangements the difficulty that also comparatively short disturbances in further processing, for example when stapling interruptions and repercussions on the press to lead.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method of to create that kind, with which a much higher Performance is achievable and still a good folding quality guaranteed.
- the invention is by the method according to Claim 1 and by an arrangement according to the corresponding independent claim solved.
- the digital printing machine before singling the plano sheet or the folded one Track sections from the further processing of these plano sheets or track section decoupled. Comparatively short-term Disturbances in the further processing, for example when stapling or cutting can be done without interruption of the digital printing machine be resolved.
- the accumulating during this disorder Plano sheets or web sections are picked up by the buffer. If the fault is eliminated, the buffer can be replaced by a higher performance in further processing can be reduced.
- the buffer is through formed a pile.
- a stack can with especially high performance processed by means of a folder feeder become.
- the feeder removes the plano sheets or folded sheets Track sections from the bottom of the stack and isolated these.
- plano spreads and at least two buffers are supplied. Preferably takes place this distribution by means of at least one switch. Because of this Distributing the plano sheet can double the performance.
- a much higher performance is also possible by following a development of the invention sections of the printed Be folded before the formation of the buffer.
- the folding takes place according to a development of the invention advantageously by means of a pocket or Stauchfalzmaschine.
- the processing is then particularly efficient, if according to a development of the invention, the planographic or Track sections collected after folding on a sword become.
- the sword is according to an advantageous development the invention over a continuously running collector chain arranged. Are all plano or track sections collected on the sword, this is preferably in Direction of retraction chain withdrawn and the collected Printed products are dropped onto the gathering chain. On the running collecting chain are with drivers the printed products for example, a stapler and then one Fed cutting machine.
- Fig. 1 shows schematically a printing machine 22, in particular a digital printing machine, a paper sheet 2 or a printed on both sides so that by means of a cutting device 16 are formed from this lane 2 A4 planographic 3. As can be seen, run in the transport direction according to arrow 27th two plano sheets 3 next to each other. The transport of isolated plano 3 is carried out according to FIG. 2 by means of a Transport device 26, the upper belt 26a and a lower belt 26b. The web 2 is by means of the cutting device 16 thus cut across and along.
- the cut plano 3 are by means of the transport device 26 of a switch 4 supplied, the one in the directions of the double arrow 30 can be pivoted upwards and downwards Tongue 19 has.
- the tongue 19 shown in the middle position. If the tongue 19 down pivoted, so the cut plano 3 after headed up to an upwardly leading transport device 28. If, however, the tongue 19 is pivoted upward, so arrive the planographic 3 to a transport device 29 the 2 leads obliquely downward according to FIG.
- Both transport devices 28 and 29 form a front end railway overpass 23, by means of a so-called waterfall 24 is formed, with which the printed products 3 down each get to a slower moving band 6.
- a scale flow 5 is formed in each case.
- the two scale flows 5a and 5b of the upper level 35 become each at a distance to each other at a bend 6a and 6b to 90 ° deflected and in each case a stacking device 9 a Falzanlegers 8 supplied.
- the two scale flows 5a 'and 5b' the lower level 36 are also on arc 6a 'and 6b' each fed to a stack 9 'of an investor 8.
- the investors 8 have according to Fig. 3 in a conventional manner a Gripping drum 10 and suckers not shown here or others Gripping means with which the Planobogen 3 at the bottom the stacking device 9 individually withdrawn and folded.
- the control when removing and separating the planographic 3 takes place preferably by a read head, not shown here, at the beginning and at the end of the printed product 1 to be formed for example, a printed control character or a barcode recognizes.
- a read head not shown here
- On the gripper drums 10 can plano Be grooved prior to folding in a conventional manner.
- the folded planographic sheets 3 of a printed product are respectively collected on a sword 11.
- the number of collected Plano 3 can vary from printed product to printed product be.
- the order of collected planographic sheets 3 on the respective sword 11 corresponds to the page sequence of Printed product.
- the dropping of the plano sheets 3 on the gathering chain 12 is synchronous and is by a Control not shown here triggered, so the divisions the gathering chain 12 are sequentially filled as completely as possible.
- Fig. 3 shows the gathering chain 12 with discarded printed matter 37, 38, 39 and 40. These print products are here still provided without envelope 14, the discarded printed matter added by means of another folder feeder 13 becomes. The envelope 14 is thus additionally added and then the printed products are complete and can bound by a device not shown here, for example, be stapled.
- Fig. 3 shows the leftmost a finished printed product 1, which only bound must become. The following printed product 1 'may be the same or another printed product.
- the printed product 1 is in particular a booklet, for example, up to 200 pages.
- the drive of the folder applicator 8 is preferably carried out by separate controllable electric motors 25.
- the collected planographic arches 3 are saddle-shaped on the cross-sectionally triangular sword 11, wherein the fold F is above and in the transport direction according to the Arrows 31 runs. Steep outward arms on the side 11b hold the collected and folded plano sheets 3 apart. Parallel to the sword 11 and runs below this the gathering chain 12.
- This has chain links 34 on which Saddle-shaped pads 33 are attached and in a Rail 12 are guided displaceably. On some of these pads 33, an upwardly projecting driver 32 is attached. If the sword 11 is withdrawn as mentioned above, then fall the collected planographic sheets 3 on the gathering chain 12 and taken by drivers 32. The discharge takes place of course synchronous to the run of the gathering chain 12.
- Plano sheet 3 ' is cut.
- the cut plano sheets 3 ' are with a switch 4 as already explained above an upper level 35 or transported to a lower level 36 and transported there each in the shingled stream.
- the scale flow of the upper level 35 is by means of a Transport device 7a to the stacking device 9 a Falzanlegers 8 and the scale flow of the lower level is with a shorter transport device 7b horizontally to a stacking device 9 of a further folder feeder 8 transported.
- the transport device 7a leads from the upper one Level 35 sloping down to the level of the lower level 36.
- the planar sheets 3 'of the web 2' are thus on two folding feeders 8 divided.
- the stacking devices 9 stacked.
- This stacking of the plano 3 'in the stacking devices 9 has the significant advantage that the material flow is decoupled by the stack formed therein is formed and by the stacking devices 9 a kind of buffer becomes.
- the folder feeders 8 can still use the supply of the planographic sheets 3 'continue to work in the stacking devices 9.
- buffer means are u.a. in EP-A-0 876 977, EP-A-0 739,838 and DE - A - 36 08 055.
- plano 3 ' are in the investors 8 each of the format A3 folded to A4 size.
- the planographic 3 'of a printed product 1 " except for an envelope 14.
- the envelope is folded by means of a further Falzanlegers 13 and attached.
- the cut Plano sheet 3 'split on two levels 35 and 36 Basically, a design is conceivable in which uses more than two levels, for example four levels become. Accordingly, then more than two investors 8 are used for separating and folding.
- a stapler 15 at the fold F stapled by means of a stapler 15 at the fold F stapled.
- Staplers 15 are well known in the art and These are preferably with flying pursuing stapling heads 15a provided.
- Fig. 4 is a stapled printed product with 1 ". This printed product 1" can be used with one here Not shown cutting device still on the three free Pages are cut.
- This cutting device, the collecting chain 12 and the stapler 15 are preferably common driven by the engine 17.
- the drive of the folder feeders 8 and 13 are preferably each individually by a controlled Electric motor 25.
- the printing press 22 are not interrupted because the incurred during the disturbance Planographic 3 recorded in the stacking devices 9 can be.
- the stacking device 9 can for enlargement the stacking capacity also supplemented by other buffering agents or replaced. If the problem is resolved, then you can the stack degraded by a higher performance of the folder 8 become.
- the speed of the folder feeders 8 is then, for example, 120% of the speed of the printing press 22.
- the collecting chain and the subordinate ones also run Machining devices faster.
- the inventive method with the arrangement according to 1 and 6 is feasible, is in the functional diagram shown in FIG. 7.
- method step A the Pages of a brochure using the digital printing press 22 Sequentially and digitally printed in the appropriate order.
- the pages can also be an extensive brochure thus be printed one after the other.
- the printed paper web 2 is in planographic 3 or 3 'cut.
- the plano sheets 3 consist of two A4 and the plano 3 'from two A5 formats. It is yes but in principle also other divisions possible.
- the plano sheets 3 and 3 'become in step C for example distributed by the switch 19 on two or more levels.
- the distribution can be either in single sheets or in groups respectively.
- the scales S are formed and fed to the Falzanlegern 8 by means of conveyor belts.
- the digital printing press 22 For decoupling the digital printing press 22 from further processing are the incoming scales S on the folder feeders 8 each in the stacking device 9 to a stack 9 'pushed on. These stacks 9 'each form a buffer, by the comparatively short-term interruptions in the Further processing without retroactivity to the digital printing press 22 be recorded. For a longer interruption For example, the digital printing press 22 can be shut down in a targeted manner.
- step F the separated plano-sheets 3 or 3 'folded.
- the plano 3 or 3 'in Grooved known and then by here not shown belts are folded in a continuous process. This creates a very sharp fold F, so that too extensive Brochures, for example, with more than 200 pages can be produced.
- the drive of the folder applicator 8 takes place preferably independent of the stapler 15 by the controllable electric motors 25.
- Fig. 7 is this process step with H indicated.
- the gathering chain 12 runs in one certain speed ratio to the number Falzanlegern 8 and the number of plano sheets to be collected 3 or 3 '.
- the synchronous discharge of the collected plano sheets on the Chain 12 is done by the pneumatic retraction of the corresponding sword 11. This is done by a controller triggered and done so that the divisions of the saddle chain 12 are filled sequentially completely.
- the subsequent steps in the further processing concern feeding an envelope according to I, stapling K means the stapler 15 and the cutting L by means of one here Not shown trimmers or other cutting machine.
- FIGS. 8 and 9 becomes an endless one Paper web printed by the digital printing machine 22.
- These Paper web 2 is with a cutting machine, not shown here in the transverse direction in track sections 3 '' cut.
- These Web sections 3 "each comprise a plurality, for example six A4 formats arranged side by side in pairs.
- the thus consisting of several pages track sections 3 '' become in a pocket or Stauchfalzmaschine 40 to a Sheet 3 "'and then in a folding machine 41, or of a sword folding machine to a bow 3 "" folded and after a deflection according to arrow 45 in a scale flow 44th supplied by means of conveyor belts 46 a stacking device 9, in which a stack 9 'is formed.
- This stack 9 ' forms a buffer and is by means of a sheet feeder 8 ' isolated and open.
- the opened bow sections become as explained above, collected on a sword 11 and complete collected leaflets dropped onto the gathering chain 12.
- the folding device 41 consists in a known manner substantially from a folding blade 43, the folded web sections 3 "'between two rollers 42 running against each other suggests.
- Fig. 10 illustrates the method, which by means of Device according to FIGS. 8 and 9 is feasible.
- the procedure differs from that according to FIG. 7 substantially by cutting track sections 3 "and the subsequent folds C ', which is usually the distribution unnecessary.
- Such distribution is basically also possible with this method.
- a first digital printing press 22 prints a first group of Bow, which are opened and collected via a feeder 8.
- the second digital printing machine 22 prints the second group from bow, on the gathering chain 12 with the first group be collected.
