Definitions

  • the invention relates to a means for cleaning or washing leather.
  • a water-based cleaning agent for cleaning in particular of textiles with the detergent being added to a larger amount of water surfactant component, a base and an organic acid or a salt of Base or organic acid and terpene contains (WO 94/18300).
  • Specially for Cleaning of textile products is for this known means a PH value in Range of 5.5 to 6.5 proposed.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a means for cleaning leather show improved properties. To solve this problem are a means for cleaning leather according to claim 1 and a method for Cleaning of leather or leather products according to claim 8 educated.
  • the agent according to the invention can therefore also be referred to as "leather detergent” or “leather washing concentrate”.
  • the peculiarity of the agent for cleaning leather according to the invention is that this agent prepared as an aqueous solution has a pH in the range between 3.5 and 6.8.
  • the aqueous solution contains at least one acid, preferably an organic acid, for example a volatile organic acid, such as, for example, formic acid, acetic acid, citric acid and / or phthalic acid.
  • the detergent according to the invention contains a suitable Washing substance, which preferably contains no proportions of bleach and enzymes and preferably at least one suitable fatty alkyl sulfate and / or fatty ether sulfate.
  • a suitable fatty alkyl sulfate and / or fatty ether sulfate may also be used.
  • the agent according to the invention contains at least one water-insoluble oil or fat in emulsion.
  • a suitable emulsifier is provided, for example, already from the aforementioned fatty alkyl sulfate or Fatty ether sulfate or alkyl ether sulfate is formed.
  • the fatty alkyl sulfates or fatty ether sulfates act in the composition according to the invention cleaning or washing (especially in the alkaline range). At the same time acting but these sulfates also tannin (in the acidic range), which is also an optimal Washing result contributes, i. with the agent according to the invention is a problem Cleaning or washing leather possible, with the quality or suppleness of the leather as well as the respective color scheme are fully preserved, namely regardless of the method used to make each leather and aids.
  • composition according to the invention In the application of the composition according to the invention there are no Environmental issues. Another advantage of the composition according to the invention also exists in that it has an extraordinary hard water resistance, so that on Water softener can be dispensed with in the application of the agent.
  • the unsulfonated water-insoluble oil or fat (refatting constituent) is, for example, a chlorinated fatty acid methyl ester of coconut oil.
  • a chlorinated fatty acid methyl ester of coconut oil instead of this, other natural (vegetable or animal oils) come into consideration, ie saturated fatty acids (C 4 -C 30 ) or unsaturated fatty acids (C 11 -C 2 2).
  • Chlorine paraffins of chain length C 10 -C 27 can also be used as a replenishing additive.
  • the agent according to the invention preferably also contains one Ethylene oxide adduct and / or alkene sulfate and / or propanol-2. This ingredient works dirt dissolving.
  • an anionic or amphoteric leather fatliquoring agent added to optimize the emulsifiability of natural, water-insoluble oils preferably as an additional constituent.
  • This leather fat repellent which in professional use again as "Leather fatlicker” are water-soluble, natural or synthetic Oils or fats that are sulfated, sulfited or emulsified.
  • a further constituent is preferably a small amount of one non-organic, surfactant wetting agents provided. This wetting agent is used to reduce the surface tension of the water and thus the Increase washing effect.
  • the agent contains, for example, even a small Proportion of perfume oil and / or dye.
  • the perfume oil provides the typical Leather smell especially on the cleaned leather.
  • the dye is specifically designed to give the detergent a corresponding intrinsic color.
  • the agent according to the invention is preferably as a concentrate or washing concentrate prepared by the user then with an appropriate amount of water is diluted.
  • the invention further relates to a method for cleaning leather or leather products.
  • This method is characterized in particular by the fact that the actual cleaning, for example with a detergent of the aforementioned type pretreatment of the leather or leather product in one acid pretreatment bath, preferably in an aqueous, acidic Pretreatment bath precedes its PH in a range between 3.5 and 5.5, using appropriate acids, preferably the organic acids mentioned above. It has been shown that through this pretreatment a washing out in bold colors, like black, Blue, Bordeaux or red colored leather, which usually comes with these colors over-dyed, not done.
  • This pretreatment is in the acid bath or fixer especially in so-called mix parts of particular importance, i. at Articles, for example items of clothing, some of leather and some of them Textile material exist. Pretreatment will help with intense colors unwanted migration of the color or color pigments from the leather in the Textile material effectively prevented.
  • a typical composition of the agent according to the invention is given in the following table: 30 - 60 Parts of fatty alkyl sulfate and / or ether sulfate 0 - 30 Parts ethylene oxide adduct, alkane sulfate and / or propanol-2 0 - 30 Parts of vegetable or animal fat, insoluble in water 0 - 30 Parts of anionic or amphoteric leather fatliquor 0 - 5 Parts of non-ionic wetting agent 0 - 5 Parts of perfume oil 0 - 0.05 Parts dye rest Water and acid
  • the acid is one or more organic acids and preferably volatile organic acids, such as formic acid, acetic acid, citric acid and Phthalic acid. Of course, mixtures of different acids be used.
  • the proportion of acid is chosen so that for the means or for the agent forming the aqueous solution in total a PH value in the range between 3.5 and 6.8.
  • the fatty alkyl sulfates and ether sulfates are each such as, for example, aliphatic alcohols with the chain length C 10 -C 20 or olefins.
  • alkyl ether sulfates from alipathic Alcohols possible, but ethoxylated before sulfation.
  • the vegetable or animal oil or fat is preferably already the above mentioned chlorinated fatty acid methyl esters from coconut oil. But other natural ones too Oils, i. saturated or unsaturated fatty acids can be used.
  • the leather fatliquor is preferably a paraffin sulphonic acid amide of the general formula R-SO 2 -NH-CH 2 -CH 2 -SO 3 Na.
  • the dye used is an acidic aniline dye.
