Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for tensioning or relaxing a membrane of a Musical instrument, in particular a single-frame frame drum, ceramic darabukka, Zarb, Buk, Daiko or the like, in which a Druckfluidum in at least one of elastically stretchable hollow body formed outside the resonator of the drum passed variable pressure chamber and the membrane between a membrane pad and a Membrane fixation controlled evenly over its circumference into the variable Pressure chamber introduced Druckfluidum pressurized and curved deformed.
- the invention further relates to a device for tensioning or relaxing a Membrane of a musical instrument, in particular a membrane of a single-skin Frame Drum, Pottery Darabukka, Zarb, Buk, Daiko or the like on one Membrane support rests, with a particular on the resonator of the Musical instrument provided membrane fixation is connected and by means of a Druckfluidums, which is feasible in at least one variable pressure chamber, between the Membrane support and membrane fixation controlled at least partially is pressurizable.
- the eardrums are in many different ways attached.
- the skins become e.g. using stakes, nails or by gluing rigid attached and then tensioned by using a heat source.
- the tensioning of the skins by means of strings, usually with hoops, which however the tightening of the Fells or tuning the instrument or changing the coat time consuming designed.
- Exact pitches are difficult to vocalize.
- the protruding elements of the tensioning mechanism prove in body contact as unpleasant and the danger of hand injuries, especially on the wrists with beginners or with the very strong hitting the drums comparatively large.
- a quick cocking and re-tightening of natural skins Eardrums are characterized by the known tensioning devices or mechanisms not guaranteed and therefore rarely performed in practice
- the invention is based on the object, a method and an apparatus of to provide the type mentioned above, with the or the simpler and faster way than before a tightening or relaxing a membrane of a Musical instrument, in particular a single-frame frame drum, ceramic darabukka, Zarb, Buk, Daiko or the like controlled without using a conventional one Clamping and fixing mechanism and allowing a relatively fast and uncomplicated interchangeability of the membrane as well as an exact intonation of the Musical instrument can be performed.

- the tire between the pressurized hollow body and the Inner surface of the strained diaphragm clamped in relation to the resonator body held free-swinging position wherein the edge of the tensioned membrane of the Tire sealingly held fixed against the outer wall of the resonator.
- the Edge of the tensioned membrane may also be fixed to the lower end of the tire, the an outer skirt of the outer surface of the membrane pressurizing Hollow body forms and of the latter in its respect to the resonator is held in free-swinging position.
- suitable lubricant ensures a simple and reliable way for that within the membrane always a uniform, to the pressurization latter adapted voltage compensation is given.
- the flat and flexible power transmission of the controlled filled with compressed air at least a variable pressure chamber on the membrane ensures a uniform Voltage exchange within the membrane of a drum.
- a targeted intonation is thus by simple pressure change in the variable pressure chamber forming cavity immediately reach, so that instruments exactly and quickly to each other to vote.
- the spontaneously available tunability offers a variety of sounds that otherwise the use of new or additional instruments.
- the flexible pressure chamber or flexible pressure chambers ensures a vibrating Force absorption of the membrane voltage and thus an optimal vibration behavior and a great dynamic, as it is already given in a stringing
- the invention can be applied to all types of membraneophones, regardless of their form, use as advantageous as for chordophones, the ceiling of a membrane is formed.
- the tensioning device hardly increases the weight of the Drum. This is especially important for a frame drum, as this one-handed played while being held by the latter.
- the force of the membrane voltage is along the physical force line of action of the resonator on this evenly transmitted, by what mode of action of the resonator as opposed to a conventional tensioning mechanism is stabilized with clamping screws.
- the fixation of the membrane according to the inventive method allows a Quick change of the skins and ensures, as bulky clamping or clamping rings for Setting the fur edge are not required, in particular a safe to have Frame drum of low weight. Due to the relatively large Sound variability of natural skins can be a resonance body for a variety of Use sound claims. As new products are now drums with changing shafts for different sound designs on the market, and by the existing Selection of vicissitudes will change the sound design of the drums from the producer the musicians transmit. Since tattered skins are now replaced within minutes can, a partially elaborate repair work is unnecessary. Replacement skins thus offer Musicians a certainty that until now could only guarantee substitute instruments.
- the skins can be removed from the resonance body and into each other stacked, which is the only thing with large drums such as Orchestral timpani useful can be. With closed resonance bodies, this creates an additional storage space. Thus, the fur that represents the smallest and most sensitive part of a drum can be be packed separately.
- the very simple construction of the device according to the invention fulfills all to an optimal Clamping or relaxing of membrane-like elements or membranes asked Requirements, can be produced inexpensively, especially for already used conventional musical instruments by way of a relatively small Costs causing retrofitting
- the inventive method is especially for all musical instruments membranophoner Suitable construction suitable, and indeed finds the method most often in a general embodiment of a musical instrument use, in which a groove in the resonant body externally embedded below the membrane support and a Hose is embedded in the groove, which in the unfilled state does not have the groove edge protrudes.
- the membrane forming coat is preformed as a hat and on the edge in the already bordered tire whose inner diameter is minimally larger than the associated Outside diameter of the resonator is.
- the fur is on the sound box attached, wherein the Fellwandung forms the outer casing of the hose and the Tires positioned below the groove.
- the hose is inflated with compressed air using the effect that the membrane between the membrane support and the membrane fixation over its entire circumference by the pressure of the hose bead-shaped outward deformed and thus stretched and the tire free-swinging through the hose is held to the sound box.
- a compressed air source can already be a simple Serve bicycle or car air pump.
- the device according to the invention is particularly suitable for use Frame drums lightweight construction, which differs from the previously described general construction is dispensed with a separate tire and the coat with the Membrane pad opposite edge and / or with the inner surface of the resonator directly connected.
- This connection is primarily made by gluing or Gluing with elements such as nails, staples, pins, screws and the like can be combined achieved.
- This construction ensures the simplest systen a tunable frame drum consisting of three elements, one fur, a frame and a standard tire tube.
- the present invention captivates in its surprising simplicity, by which the millennium, by Pictures occupied play attitude of the frame drum can be maintained, since the Tuning device according to the invention only an insignificant increase in weight with it brings.
