Definitions
- the invention relates to a label for labeling preferably cylindrical Containers, with a base part that has a first layer on its underside Has pressure-sensitive adhesive, with one adjoining the base part in one piece Overlap part, which is the base part when arranging the label on the container at least partially covered, with at least one separable document section and with means for releasably attaching the detachable document section.
- the invention also relates to a container which is provided with such a label.
- Labels of this type are, for example, from European patent EP 0 463 193 B1 known. They are used to label containers that are mainly used in medical field are used.
- the self-adhesive removable Document section or the detachable document sections contain information about the contents of the container and can be separated into a Documentation document are pasted so that information about the content of the In the documentation without confusion and error-free be transmitted.
- the invention is based on the object To create the label of the type mentioned, if desired, the entire Shell surface of the container to be provided with the label for any design Information can be exploited.
- the solution according to the invention can in fact surprisingly be achieved be that on the overlap part, if desired the whole Shell surface of the container can cover information in any Design can be attached.
- the top of the overlap part must be in not be pretreated in any way, so that the information there is wholly or partly after Completion of the label by an end user, for example with a Inkjet printer, can be attached.
- the label creates according to the invention the possibility of providing detachable document sections, the with regard to their number and size in comparison to labels according to the state of the art Technology offer almost unlimited possibilities, as also for the document sections, which are attached in the base part, in turn the entire lateral surface (if desired) is available.
- Embodiment of the invention means for releasably fastening the overlap part intended.
- the overlapping part, the permanent information, so to speak carries, using the means for detachable attachment of the Overlap part temporarily raised and unwound from the container, see above that the detachable document sections formed in the base part are accessible and can be removed for the purpose of further use.
- To the overlap part becomes the removal of the document section or the document sections wrapped around the container again so that it takes up its original position, in which it completely covers the base part and its document sections.
- the means for detachable attachment of the detachable document section or the detachable A smooth layer attached to the underside of the base part include, which abuts the detachable document section. If the label on the Container is attached, the smooth layer mentioned is, so to speak, between the Document sections and the surface of the container and prevents the self-adhesive document sections a firm connection with the surface of the Container.
- the smooth layer is on a piece of material arranged.
- the piece of material can preferably have such a surface area have that at two points, preferably in the direction of the Label material web that clearly overlaps the detachable document sections.
- the smooth layer corresponds approximately to the covering section in terms of its surface area or the document sections. In this way, the piece of material adheres to the Smooth layer securely on the layer of pressure sensitive adhesive on the underside of the label.
- the smooth layer can be printed on the piece of material, if desired a dot matrix or the like can be used to determine the adhesive force between the document sections and the smooth layer or the piece of material Taxes.
- the piece of material is preferably on its side facing away from the covering sections provided with a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive, through which the secure attachment of the Piece of material on the container is possible.
- the document sections by continuous punch lines from the base part can be separated and still sufficiently safe, especially during the Dispensing of the label can be kept.
- the document sections are preferably provided with a non-adhesive edge piece, which serves as a pulling aid and ensures that the user when removing the Section and when pasting it into a documentation does not come into contact with the pressure sensitive adhesive of the slip section.
- the base part has in the area of Document sections a widening.
- Base part is not completely covered by the overlap part, rather is a narrow margins visible from the voucher sections.
- the voucher sections offer thereby the user in a meaningful way, so that he easily After reading it can be made clear that he only temporarily overlaps the part must remove to get to the document sections.
- the base part preferably has a length which corresponds to the circumference of the item to be labeled Corresponds to the container. Because the base part has a layer on its underside Has pressure sensitive adhesive, the entire base part is when labeling the container firmly connected to the container.
- the layer of pressure-sensitive adhesive attached to the base part is preferably to the Continued overlap part so that the overlap part, so the second winding position of the label, so to speak, a sufficiently secure hold receives on the base part.
- a further layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is provided, which securely attaches the guaranteed free end of the overlap part.
- the central one Area of the overlap part is designed non-adhesive, thereby lifting the Overlap part is facilitated.
- this avoids the risk of that when lifting the overlap part of individual document sections from the base part would be ripped out. It is also avoided that the document sections with adhesive become dirty.
- the means for releasably securing the overlap part include one advantageous embodiment of the invention a removable adhesive in the layer made of pressure sensitive adhesive at the free end of the overlap part.
- the means for releasable Attachment of the overlap part also an adhesive-repellent smooth layer comprise, which is arranged on the top of the label so that after attachment of the label on the container said layer of pressure sensitive adhesive on the adhesive-repellent smooth layer and can be removed easily from there can.
- the overlapping part which - as already explained - carries the main information is preferably of a length which is approximately the circumference of the label Corresponds to the container. With a longer length of the overlap part this can also be arranged several times overlapping on the container.
- An information sheet can be arranged on the underside of the overlap part be printed on both sides.
- you can too several information sheets are provided in the manner of a booklet.
- the document section or the Document sections has or have a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive and on the Top of the base part are arranged.
- the invention also relates to a container with a label, which label follows Features: a base part with a first layer of pressure sensitive adhesive with which it adheres to the entire circumference of the container Overlap part by which the base part is at least partially covered, and at least one detachable document section.
- the entire outer surface of the container in any way to be able to use for product information and instructions for use provided that the at least one detachable document section in the base part is formed and that between the document section and the container means for releasable attachment of the detachable document section are provided.
- the base part has a length that corresponds to the circumference of the corresponds to the labeling container.
- the overlap member has a length that is about the circumference of the corresponds to the labeling container.
- the label according to the invention should have adhesive and non-adhesive areas, the label must either be coated selectively with adhesive or it can be used Production of the label, a fully coated material web can be used, which in certain areas by overprinting or covering with a die Effect of the adhesive-canceling substance is made non-adhesive.
- the label can be printed in virtually any printing process, where, for example, the top of the label is used as a print carrier. If however, if a transparent material web is used, this can advantageously be done Label also on the bottom, i.e. printed on the side, then with Adhesive is coated. In this case, typefaces must be mirrored be attached. Typically, the typefaces are then with a Background ink overprinted. This variant of printing has the advantage that the pressure applied by the label film itself protects against abrasion is because it is between the film and the container.
- Figure 1 is the label according to the invention, the base film in its entirety is designated by the reference numeral 1, shown in plan view.
- the label is in its rough outline roughly rectangular and has a base part 1a and a to the Base part 1a in one piece adjoining overlap part 1b.
- the base part 1a has a length that corresponds to the circumference u of the container to be labeled.
- a total of five rectangular punching lines are provided in the base part 1a, formed by the detachable or removable document sections 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d and 3e become.
- the document sections 3a to 3e are arranged so that they have an edge with the Have the outer edge of the base part 1a in common so that they can be easily gripped can.
- the base part 1a has a widening 8, the meaning of which is explained below becomes.
- On the top of the label in the area of the base part 1a in the vicinity of the Overlap part 1b is the label with an adhesive-repellent smooth layer 5 Mistake.
- the overlapping part 1b of the label adjoining the base part 1a also has a length that approximately corresponds to the circumference of the container.
- the Overlap part 1b is provided on its top with an imprint that in the Drawing is symbolized by repeating the word "text".
- the print can have any shape and color.
- the punched-out voucher sections 3a to 3e are also printed (print not shown). These are usually shortly before Apply the label with a current imprint, such as one Provide expiry date. In addition to this, there are usually constant prints, such as the name of the product contained in the container.
- Figure 2 shows the label of Figure 1 in longitudinal section. Again, it's the basic part 1a and the overlap part 1b. It should also be noted that from the Foil of the base part 1a punched out voucher sections 3a to 3e, as well as on the already Adhesive-repellent smooth layer 5 mentioned in connection with FIG. 1 FIG. 2 also shows that the base part 1 a has a layer 2 Pressure sensitive adhesive coated, which is somewhat in the area of the overlap part 1b the position 10 continues. Another layer 6 of pressure sensitive adhesive is in the area of Free end of the overlap part 1b arranged. The central area 12 of the Overlap part 1b is not adhesive.
- Figure 3 finally shows the label from the bottom, i.e. from that with glue seen coated side.
- layers 6 and 2 to recognize pressure sensitive adhesive.
- the Adhesive layer 6 is recessed in a corner area on the edge, so that a forms non-adhesive edge piece 11, which can serve as a removal aid.
- Similar Adhesive cutouts 9a to 9e are provided in layer 2. The cutouts 9a to 9e are located in the marginal areas of the respective document sections, with the help these non-adhesive edge pieces can be peeled off.
- Figure 3 is the further recognize the third layer 7 of pressure sensitive adhesive, which is on the piece of material 15 is attached.
- the size of the piece of material 15 is so chosen that it is not the non-adhesive edge pieces 9a to 9e of the document sections covered, which further improves the detachability of the film pieces.
- FIGS. 1 to 3 The label shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is processed as follows:
- the labels are usually on a backing tape that is an adhesive repellent Has smooth layer, arranged.
- the running direction of the carrier tape is parallel to the longitudinal direction of the label.
- the labels are arranged on the carrier tape so that the respective base part 1a is in the front in the running direction.
- the carrier tape is after a known technique drawn over a peel edge that separates the label and the carrier tape. That straight ahead over the peel edge Continuing label comes into contact with the free end edge 1c of the base part 1a with a rotating cylindrical container, whereupon the layer 2 from Pressure sensitive adhesive enters into a connection with the outer surface of the container.
- the base part Since the base part has the length of a circumference of the container, the Base part, including the piece of material 15 with the smooth layer 4 and the Adhesive layer 7 wrapped around the outer surface of the container, whereby establishes a firm connection between the two parts mentioned.
- the second Rotation of the container becomes the overlap part 1b over the base part 1a wrapped until the free end of the overlap part 1b with its layer 6 Pressure sensitive adhesive on the base part 1, more precisely on the adhesive repellent Smooth layer 5 of the base part 1a arrives.
- the overlap part is through layer 6 made of pressure sensitive adhesive on its free end edge 1d and by the continuation 10 of the Layer 2 held securely at its other end.
- the container provided with the label is shown in FIG. 4.
- the whole cylindrical outer surface of the container 13 is through the overlap part 1b, which carries information about the contents of the container.
- Widening 8 of the base part 1a in the area of the document sections 3a to 3e are according to the application of the label in each case small pieces of the document sections 3a to 3e to recognize the top edge of the label, which gives the user the location of the Document sections is clarified.
- the user solves with the help the non-adhesive release corner 11 from the free end of the overlap section 1b, after which the document sections 3a to 3e are exposed. He can then do one or more Grab and close document sections on the non-adhesive edge pieces 9a to 9e Attach documentation for other purposes.
- the document sections 3a to 3e can be easily removed since they lie on the adhesive-repellent smooth layer 4. After removing the desired number of document sections, the Use the overlap label 1b around the bottle so that the old one in Figure 4 shown state is restored. However, you can now see which one Sections of documents have already been removed because - as explained - the Document sections are not completely covered by the overlap part 1b.
- the label shown in FIG. 5 differs from the label shown in FIG. 2 only in that on the underside of the overlap part two information sheets 16 and 17 are attached.
- the information sheet 16 is on the edge of the adhesive layer 2 of the base part 1a attached.
- a small one is used to attach the information sheet 17 additional layer of pressure sensitive adhesive 18.
- the information sheets 16, 17 have a such a length that they are in the adhesive-free area of the overlap part 1b insert and be wrapped around the container to be labeled. Otherwise, the structure of the label shown in FIG. 5 is the same as that of FIG. 2 shown, so that in this respect reference can be made to the description of FIG.
- the label shown in FIG. 6 differs from the label shown in FIG. 2 only in that the document sections 3a to 3e as separate parts on the top of the base part 1a are arranged.
- the top of the base part has one for this adhesive-repellent smooth layer 20.
- the document sections 3a to 3e are with a Provide layer 19 of pressure sensitive adhesive and temporarily adhere to it with the Smooth layer 20. Otherwise, the structure and handling of that shown in Figure 6 Labels the same as that shown in Figure 2, so far as the description the figure 2 can be referenced.
- a continuous material web of a transparent film is printed provided as for the base part 1a and the overlap part 1b and in particular is intended for the document sections 3a to 3e of the base part 1a.
- the imprint is however, it is a mirror image of the print as it was after the label by the top of which is seen. All or part of this imprint becomes one Background contrast color printed. It is advantageous to have at least one small window in the base part 1a and a corresponding window in the overlap part 1b release to be able to go through the window into the To be able to see container 13, for example in order to fill the level of the container check.
- the film printed so far is then so on the same side with pressure sensitive adhesive printed that the pattern of the layers 6, which can be seen in particular in FIG. 3, and 2 made of pressure sensitive adhesive with the respective non-adhesive edge pieces 9a to 9e and 11 and with the adhesive-free area 12 in the center of the overlap part 1b results.
- a self-adhesive smooth layer film i.e. a film 15
- Smooth layers 4 and a layer of pressure sensitive adhesive 7 on a carrier web is arranged, punched so that on the carrier web (not shown) only the smooth-film pieces 4 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, 15 remain, which adhere to the carrier web with the layer 7 of pressure sensitive adhesive.
- the two webs of material prepared in this way become register-perfect laminated together.
- the laminated material webs of a new one Die-cut in which the outline of the labels, as shown in particular in Figure 1 are shown.
- the punching lines are also attached, by which the document sections 3a to 3e are defined. With these can it concerns continuous punching lines or perforation punchings.
- one is used as the base material for the labels opaque material web (paper or plastic film) used on its underside is fully coated with pressure sensitive adhesive.
- the one opposite the bottom Top is made in the desired manner by a conventional method such as for example letterpress or flexographic printing, printed so that the overlap part and the base part, in particular its document sections, with the necessary imprints be provided.
- a varnish Over the continuous self-adhesive layer on the underside of the Material is printed with a varnish, which has the adhesive effect in the areas 9a to 9e, 11 and 12 (cf. FIG. 3) so that the layers 6 and 2 result from the result Pressure sensitive adhesive are generated while the remaining parts are printed with paint are designed to be non-adhesive.
