Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for fixing on bobbins existing yarns and twists by thermal treatment after a predetermined temperature-time curve, as it is in the textile industry Improvement of processing properties, especially reduction the curling tendency and the improvement of the elastic properties, is needed.
- Fiber material naturally fibers or synthetic fibers
- Fiber material naturally fibers or synthetic fibers
- the final moisture is above one ensuring commercial humidity must be thermal fixing a drying process can be followed by wet steam.
- the known method fulfills the requirements for continuous operation, but requires the use of special packages and special steaming and drying devices.
- the prior art is also characterized by a relatively high energy expenditure through the use of the wet steam heating medium and through the subsequent required moisture reduction.
- the object of the invention is therefore to address the known shortcomings of To overcome the state of the art. In particular, it is about creating a technical solution for low-cost and energy-efficient thermal Treatment of yarns found on conventional packages and Twisting for the purpose of thermal fixing.
- the object is achieved essentially by the characterizing features of claim 1. Thereafter, the thermal treatment is achieved by a two-stage machining process after a predetermined temperature / time profile.
- microwaves are used to rapidly heat the fixative to the selected fixing temperature.
- the fixation temperature is then maintained in the entire package over a specific period of action. It was found that when using microwaves, the temperature increase is differentiated analogously to the different distribution of the absolute moisture volume in the yarn located on the packages.
- the usual intrinsic moisture of 15 - 18% is obviously completely sufficient.
- the tendency to heat the wound yarn at different speeds from the inside to the outside is further increased by the possible heat radiation from the surface of the cop.
- the sufficient thermal load on the yarn must be ensured in the entire package.
- the aim is not to heat up with a rapid supply of energy, but to equalize the temperature within the wound yarn and to subject it to thermal stress over a selected effective period. This procedure prevents additional moisture from entering the textile. Avoiding forced air circulation in the treatment apparatus does not lead to such drying effects of the yarn that would not be compensated for in the further processing process to the desired commercial moisture.
- the second step which effects the uniform temperature distribution in the yarn or twine on the winding body, can preferably be carried out in an unheated, insulated thermal chamber.
- this chamber there is extensive temperature compensation within the scope, avoiding moisture and energy losses.
- the use of microwave radiators has proven to be a particularly effective form of heating energy supply, although this only requires a fraction of the energy density of the first step.
- the procedure is preferred carried out in two separate treatment chambers, in which in the case of continuous throughput, as a rule, different ones Residence times are observed.
- the Transport speed is adjustable.
- the items to be fixed are fixed in accordance with the yarn material corresponding fixing temperature.
- the course of the thermal treatment of the material to be fixed is during the Heating phase and possibly also in the temperature exposure phase by controlling the microwave power depending on the respective fixation in the individual treatment chambers or in the individual sections of a common treatment chamber affected.
- the advantages of the method are that a highly effective thermal treatment of the cops to be processed is achieved with minimized use of energy even while avoiding additional or minimized moisture input.
- the continuity of the process or the quasi-continuous course of the process is a prerequisite for its classification in the current technological process of processing and processing the fixative.
- This method therefore also offers advantageous conditions for the subsequent classification into existing method sequences.
- Yarns on a package made of a mixture of wool and polyester are to be fixed.
- the individual packages contain an average yarn weight of 110 g.
- the intrinsic moisture of this yarn is approx. 10%.
- the fixative is first rapidly heated. Four microwaves of 2 kW each are used to introduce the energy.
- the desired fixing temperature of 95 ° C. in individual areas of the fixative is achieved at an average transport speed of approximately 2 m / min. reached after approx. 40 sec. or slightly exceeded.
- the fixative is then transferred to a second treatment stage.
- the second treatment chamber is designed to be heat-insulated to avoid energy losses and is kept at a room temperature of 95 ° C. by supplying heat energy. It is thus possible to maintain the fixing temperature of 95 ° C in the temperature application phase over a minimum period of 2.5 minutes in all parts of the fixing material.
- the fixative is then thermally fixed and transferred to the subsequent processing stage.
- the rapid heating of the material to be fixed is carried out analogously to Example 1 in a heating station.
- the intrinsic moisture of the yarn is approx. 15%.
- the desired fixing temperature is 98 ° C and is achieved in individual parts of the fixative after 35 seconds.
- the subsequent temperature exposure phase takes place in a second treatment chamber, which is designed as an insulated thermal chamber. By regulating the conveying speed of the fixative through this unheated aftertreatment chamber, the desired temperature exposure period of about 2 minutes is achieved with a total stay in the thermal chamber of 3 minutes.
- a pretreatment step precedes the first treatment step of the material to be fixed, consisting of yarns of wool located on packages.
- Heat, moisture and softening agents are added to the fixative by means of brief steam treatment.
- the average moisture content of the fixative reaches about 19%.
- the rapid heating of the material to be fixed is carried out analogously to Example 1 in a heating station.
- the desired fixing temperature is 98 ° C and is reached in individual areas of the fixative after 40 seconds.
- the thermal chamber is equipped so that the fixative can be transferred to the post-treatment chamber in a different position.
- the post-treatment chamber has a clear rectangular cross section of approximately 0.06 m 2 and a length of 1.5 m.
