Definitions
- the invention relates to a contact spring arrangement, consisting of two oppositely arranged contact springs, each having a contact head which has a contact surface and two side surfaces such that the two contact surfaces are opposite one another.
- a simple way of producing such contact spring arrangements is to punch them out of flat sheet metal.
- the contact area is the area along which the stamped cut has been made.
- This contact surface therefore has cutting grooves (cf. the cutting grooves 16 in FIG. 1). If a plug-in element is now inserted between two such contact springs and an electrical contact is thereby established, the cutting grooves act in the long run like a file. The plugs are worn out very quickly. In addition, the resulting electrical contact is not good. Furthermore, the width of the contact is limited by the thickness of the material from which the contact spring arrangement is punched out.
- the US-PS 4,660,922 shows a press fit pin in which the contact area is cylindrical.
- the contact head (head) serves to firmly anchor the pin, which is part of a connector strip, in a receiving part 46 (FIG. 5A).
- This component has a convex surface and side surfaces. However, the problem of eliminating the scoring of a contact surface that arises during a die cut is not solved.
- the DE-GM shows recesses made by punching. However, they do not serve to improve the contact area, but to anchor the pin in a mounting plate (see p. 5, line 10).
- the object of the invention is to provide a contact spring arrangement of the type mentioned, in which the contact surface is improved.
- the object is achieved in that at least one recess is stamped into each of the side surfaces and the contact surfaces are smoothed and widened by the material flow taking place during stamping.
- the material of the contact surfaces flows - with the appropriate design of the embossing shape. This will widen the contact area and the striations that are still from the previous one
- the punching process are smoothed. It can also form a convex surface transverse to the longitudinal direction of the contact spring, so that the contact surface takes on the shape of a spoon overall. In this way, the contact area is enlarged and qualitatively improved with simple means.
- FIG. 1 shows a contact spring arrangement 20 with two contact springs 21 and 22.
- This contact spring arrangement is inserted into a bore 23 in a plastic plate 24 (printed circuit board) and is provided with a contact pin 25 at its end protruding beyond the plastic plate 24.
- This can be a so-called press-fit contact, ie a contact which has an elastically compressible region (not shown) with which it is held in the bore of another plastic plate (printed circuit board).
- contact spring arrangements are in several bores 23, e.g. a field of 3 times 32 holes arranged in a connector field.
- the contact springs 21, 22 each have contact heads 2, 2 '.
- a pin (not shown) is now inserted from above (in FIG. 1) between the two contact heads 2, 2 ', specifically through the insertion opening 26.
- FIG. 3 shows the blank 10 punched out of sheet metal of a contact spring with side faces 15 and a contact face 14.
- the width b0 of a contact head 2 is equal to the thickness of the sheet from which the contact springs 21, 22 are punched out.
- the punched blank as can be seen in FIG. 3, has cutting grooves 16 which result from the punching process which takes place in the S direction. This is how the contact springs look according to the state of the art in question here. If a plug element (not shown) is inserted between two contact springs 21, 22 with their contact surfaces 14, it can be seen that the grooves 16 act practically like a file on the contact surface of the plug element. In addition, the contact surface 14 provided with the cutting grooves 16 and created by the cutting process does not provide good electrical contact. Furthermore, the width is b0 Contact area limited to the thickness of the sheet from which the contact spring was punched out.
- such a contact spring is now further processed in that, as can be seen in FIG.
- the material displaced by this embossing process causes the contact surface 14 to flow.
- the contact spring is smoothed in the embossing mold, so that the cutting grooves 16, which result from the previous punching process, largely disappear.
- the contact surface 4 of the finished contact head 2 or 2 ' is created.
- the contact surface also flows in width, of course only on the condition that the embossing shape is designed accordingly.
- the contact surface 4 then has a width b 1 that is greater than the original width b 1 of the blank 10 not provided with the embossed recesses 7.
- the recesses 7 can be embossed to such an extent that they merge, i.e. so that, as indicated by the dashed lines in Figure 7, a continuous recess 7 'is formed.
- recesses 17 are embossed and designed in such a way that they are open to the surface 6 which lies opposite the contact surface 4.

Abstract
Description
- Figur 1
- eine Draufsicht auf ein erstes Ausführungsbeispiel einer Kontaktfederanordnung in der Bohrung einer Leiterplatte;
- Figur 2
- ein Schnitt entlang der Linie II-II in Figur 1;
- Figur 3
- ein Rohling einer Kontaktfeder nach dem Ausstanzen;
- Figur 4
- eine Kontaktfeder nach dem Prägevorgang;
- Figur 5
- eine Draufsicht auf die Kontaktfeder nach Figur 4 in Richtung der Pfeile V-V in Figur 2;
- Figur 6
- eine Seitenansicht in Richtung der Pfeile VI-VI in Figur 5;
- Figur 7
- ein Schnitt entlang der Linie VII-VII in Figur 6;
- Figur 8
- eine Seitenansicht, ähnlich Figur 6, eines zweiten Ausführungsbeispiels;
- Figur 9
