Definitions

  • the invention relates to a paving stone for floor coverings, with approximately vertical side walls, which can be applied almost seamlessly to the respective side walls of the adjacent paving stones in the laying pattern, the lower part of at least one side wall of the paving stone being offset inwards relative to the upper part of the side wall, so that in each case at least two adjacent paving stones form a downwardly open cavity in the lower part of the adjoining side walls, which cavity is connected to the upper side of the paving stone by at least one approximately vertical recess in the upper part of the side wall, the lower part displacing inwards relative to the upper part
  • Sidewalls of the paving stone has supports for supporting the paving stone on the floor, which protrude outwards towards the lower part of the side walls.
  • the side walls offset inwards in the lower area reduce the contact surface of the bottom of the concrete block lying on the floor compared to the main dimensions of the block.
  • the support surface of the concrete block is reduced, so that when there is a load in the area of the protruding, upper part of the side wall, a bending moment occurs in the block and the tilting safety of the block is no longer present.
  • the shaped stone is canted under load and tilts down on one side. This results in an uneven floor covering.
  • the narrowing of the cross-section in the molded block at the transition from the lower part of the side wall to the upper, projecting part of the side wall causes a jump in the moment of inertia at the location of the greatest bending moment. The consequence of this is a high risk of breakage of the protruding part of the side wall.
  • an artificial paving stone which has vertical grooves on two opposite sides. After laying the artificial paving stones, all grooves are poured out with a hardenable binder. This results in a self-contained floor covering that is held together firmly by the binder. Since the cavities on the underside of the paving stone are also eliminated by pouring out the grooves, the paving stone lies with the entire surface of its underside on the floor and is thus given a good stability.
  • the disadvantage here is that the removal of the voids creates a completely closed floor covering that can no longer drain the surface water into the ground.
  • the invention has for its object to improve the support of the paving stone on the floor and increase its strength with increased drainage performance.
  • this object is achieved in that the requirements in the area of four corners of the paving stone are arranged.
  • the lateral boundary of the support can extend close to the lateral boundary of the upper part of the side wall. This leaves a gap between the layers of adjacent paving stones through which the water can drain.
  • the support extends from the bottom of the paving stone up to the upper part of the side wall.
  • two supports are provided in the longitudinal direction of the paving stone, spaced apart from one another.
  • the supports are integrated into the geometry of the paving stone, the supports running approximately parallel to the outer contour of the paving stone.
  • a particularly uniform and rapid drainage of the water in the cavities is achieved in one embodiment with square paving stones in that in the laying pattern an end wall of the adjacent paving stone is applied to one side wall of the paving stone comes and the cavities of all paving stones are connected to each other in the longitudinal and transverse directions.
  • the paving stone 1 has approximately vertical side walls 2 and 3, an underside 4 and an upper side 5.
  • the surface of the paving stone 1 enclosed by the side walls 2 can be, for example, x-shaped (FIGS. 1, 2) or rectangular (FIGS. 3, 4) or square (FIGS. 5, 6). However, it can also be designed as a polygon or as any other geometric shape.
  • the lower part 6 of the two longitudinally extending side walls 2 is offset inwards relative to the upper part 7 of the side wall 2. This results in the laying pattern according to FIG. 1 when the paving stones 1 are put together seamlessly between adjacent side walls 2 in their lower part 6, a cavity 8 which is open at the bottom and which extends along the entire long side of one paving stone 1 and in each case over half of the long sides of the two paving stones 1 'and 1''attached. As can be seen from the laying pattern according to FIGS. 1 and 3, the longitudinally extending cavities 8 of all paving stones 1, 1 ', 1''are connected to one another.
  • a vertical recess 9 in the upper part 7 of the side wall 2.
  • a recess 9 is arranged in the middle of each side wall 2 of the x-shaped paving stone 1 at the location of the narrowest constriction in the upper part 7 of the side wall 2.
  • a vertical channel with a relatively small opening is formed, through which the rainwater flows down from the top 5 of the paving stone 1 into the relatively large cavity 8 and into the soil can penetrate.
  • the recess 9 is arranged at the front and at the rear end of the two side walls 2.
  • the underside 4 of the paving stone 1 lies securely and without tilting on the floor and the paving stone does not receive a predetermined breaking point through the cavity 8
  • the pads 10 extend from the bottom 4 of the paving stone 1 up to the upper part 7 of the side walls 2. In the lateral direction, the pads 10 extend close to the lateral boundary of the upper part 7 of the side wall 2, so that there is a gap between two adjacent paving stones 1, 1 ', 1''through which the water in the cavity 8 can flow unhindered.
  • the pads 10 can also be integrated into the geometry of the paving stone by running approximately parallel to the outer contour of the paving stone.
  • paving stones 11 are used, the outer side wall 12 of which runs in a straight line.
  • the inner side wall 2 is designed according to the x-shape of the paving stone 1 and is provided with the cavity 8 and the recess 9 in the same way as the paving stones 1.
  • the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 5 and 6 shows a laying pattern for square paving stones 13 which likewise each have a cavity 8, a vertical recess 9 and two supports 10 on two opposite side walls 2.
  • the paving stones 13 are laid in such a way that an end wall 3 of the adjacent paving stone is in contact with one side wall 2 of the paving stone is coming.
  • the cavities 8 of all paving stones are thereby connected to one another in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction in the manner of a drainage system. This ensures that the water is drained evenly and quickly into the ground.
