Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electric shaver with at least one short hair cutting system arranged on a housing and at least one actuating switch mounted displaceably on the housing for vertical adjustment of a long hair cutter in the direction of the short hair cutting system from an "off" position to at least one operating position.
  • an electric shaver is known, with a short hair cutting system arranged on the housing and a long hair cutter which can be displaced in the vertical direction and which engages in the recesses provided on the slide of the long hair cutter, in the switching position "off" as well as by means of a retaining spring can be locked in a position of use provided above the contour of the short hair trimmer in such a way that secure use of the long hair trimmer is given in the predetermined position of use.
  • a simultaneous use of the short hair trimmer system and long hair trimmer for cutting short and long hair is excluded, taking into account the extreme position of the long hair trimmer for short hair trimmer system with this known razor.
  • the object of the invention is to design an electric shaver of the type mentioned at the beginning with two cutting systems in such a way that both cutting systems can be optimally used simultaneously in at least one operating position.
  • the object is achieved according to the invention in that the long hair trimmer is spring-mounted in the vertical direction in at least one operating position. This ensures in a simple manner that the long hair trimmer always lies at an optimal angle on the surface of the skin and detects the long hair for shaving, which the short hair trimming system cannot or cannot detect.
  • the long hair cutter is automatically adapted accordingly and thereby ensures that both cutting systems lie optimally on the skin surface.
  • the shaving performance is significantly improved and the aggressiveness of the long hair cutting system is reduced at the same time, so that reddening of the skin or injuries can be reduced.
  • the long hair trimmer does not get caught on skin folds or facial contours, for example on the jawbone.
  • the gliding behavior of the long hair trimmer on the skin surface is thereby more pleasant, ie improved.
  • a spring is provided between the actuation switch and the long-hair trimmer, which holds the long-hair trimmer in a position of use which is flexible against the pressure of the spring.
  • the long hair trimmer is arranged on a slide provided in the housing, which can be adjusted via the actuation switch.
  • a plate receiving the long-hair trimmer is adjustably mounted on the slide via one or more guide parts, which can be adjusted to different positions via the actuation switch.
  • the long hair trimmer can be easily moved into the desired position of use by means of the plate receiving the long hair trimmer, in which it then easily follows the skin contour due to its resilient mounting.
  • one or more springs are arranged on guide pins which are supported at one end against the plate and at the other end on an abutment provided on the slide. This ensures proper functioning of the long hair trimmer without fear of being misjudged.
  • the plate has a hook part, by means of which the plate is secured in an end position.
