Definitions
- the invention relates to a thread storage and delivery device of the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- the weft thread length released by the stopping device corresponds to an integer multiple of the circumference of the storage area.
- the diameter of the storage area is changed during an operational stop.
- the stop device for the perfect stop function of the stop device and for the correct work, mostly thread sensors integrated in the stop device, a certain gap width of the passage gap must be strictly observed.
- the stop device that is clamped to the holder during operation is radially adjusted again.
- a serious disadvantage is the dependency of the operational reliability of the thread storage and delivery device on the ability and Will of the operator who undertakes the adjustment of the gap width under disturbing environmental conditions, for example in a weaving machine hall, whereby the gap width specified by the manufacturer of the thread storage and delivery device for the perfect function is often not adhered to because the operators are overwhelmed.
- the operational reliability of the thread storage and delivery device therefore suffers from such unmanageable influences over which the manufacturer has no influence.
- the invention has for its object to provide a thread storage and delivery device of the type mentioned, in which the diameter and gap width adjustment are easier, faster and more accurate than before, the gap width no longer of care and skill Third depends, and in which an adjustment of the storage area diameter is possible even during operation.
- the built-in gap width holding device ensures the exact gap width during or after diameter adjustments of the storage area. If an operator makes the adjustment at all, the risk of an incorrect gap width is averted because the adjustment is made with the means deemed appropriate by the manufacturer.
- the built-in gap width holding device the basic body of the stop device can be adjusted synchronously with the adjustment of the diameter of the storage area, then automatic diameter adjustment or diameter changes during operation are also possible in order to make a consumer-dependent fine adjustment to the desired value of the trigger length to reach.
- the reliability of the thread storage and delivery device is guaranteed at all times in terms of the gap width of the passage gap and is no longer dependent on unforeseeable influences.
- the components of the gap width holding device are structurally integrated where they find space and perform their function best.
- a preferred, structurally simple embodiment is set out in claim 3.
- the gap gauge is in the operation of the thread end storage and delivery device in the passive position so that it does not hinder the thread passage. If adjustment is required, the gap gauge is extended to set the gap width precisely. By making contact between the gap gauge and the storage body, the gap width is kept independent of the diameter. This is a mechanical and simple solution that is inexpensive, robust and yet very reliable. The setting is very quick and still precise.
- the aspect of claim 5 is important here.
- the correct gap width depends on the thread quality, the elasticity or the thread number.
- the adjustable effective length of the gap gauge takes this requirement into account in a simple manner.
- a particularly useful embodiment is set out in claim 6.
- the coupling takes the base body of the stop device with it when the storage body diameter is adjusted and adjusts the gap width. In this way, no time is wasted for the adjustment of the stop device during or after a diameter adjustment of the storage area because the base body follows the storage area in each case with the gap width. A fine adjustment can also be made during operation.
- the embodiment according to claim 7 is particularly advantageous because the floating guidance of the base body and the holding of the gap width by the gap gauge do not require any adjustment work on the stop device when the diameter of the storage area is adjusted. With a non-contact gap gauge, the adjustment can be made even during the Operation.
- the embodiment according to claim 8 is structurally simple and reliable.
- the pressure element engages mechanically on the storage surface and in this way holds the base body at the correct distance from the storage surface.
- the base body is immovably fixed during operation.
- the released clamping device allows adjustment of the stop device when the diameter of the storage area is adjusted.
- the embodiment according to claim 10 is particularly expedient because it enables one-hand operation in practice and without an auxiliary tool and measuring device.
- the one-hand operation is limited in the embodiment according to claim 11 to the rotation of the actuating shaft. If the lock is released, the pressure element is extended so that the radially displaceable base body can be brought into the required position or even moves automatically, in which the gap width is correct. He can drive by gravity or by spring loading or by the movement of the storage area or simply by pressing on the actuating shaft. With a renewed rotary movement of the actuating shaft, the arrester clamps the base body, the pressure element being pulled back again and the device being ready for operation.
- a wear-free and precisely working embodiment emerges from claim 14.
- the gap width which is to be changed depending on the thread quality or other operating parameters, is set by the adjustment of the effective length of the pressure ram.
- the pull magnet creates intimate contact between the pressure element and the storage area, which ensures the gap width. Furthermore, a non-positive coupling acts between the base body and the storage surface during the adjustment process, which moves the base body into the correct position with the adjustment movement of the storage surface.
- an electromagnetic clamping device could also be used, which is released and adjusted synchronously with the drive signal of the electric motor Completion of the adjustment is indented again. When the adjustment is complete, the return spring releases the temporary coupling between the pressure tappet and the pull magnet.
- a further embodiment that functions in a contactless manner is apparent from claim 17.
- the base body When adjusting the diameter, the base body is taken along.
- the correct gap width results from the balance between the tensile or compressive force and the balance force, which offers the possibility of changing the gap width by means of the easily implementable change in the forces to be brought into balance or one of the forces.
- the force balance positions the base body during operation; but does not disturb the thread passage in the ch the passage gap. If the magnet or the magnets generate a force pulling the base body towards the storage area, then the balance force must be directed away from the storage area. If, on the other hand, the magnet or the aligned magnets generate a compressive force, the balance force pushes the base body towards the storage body.
- a clamping device is expediently provided for operation.
- An electromagnetic clamping device is available, which is released when the electromagnets are excited for the tensile or compressive force against spring loading and, after the base body has been adjusted, is re-engaged by releasing the spring force.
- claims 18 and 19 relate to optional or additive options for adjusting the gap width.
- the embodiment of claim 20 is structurally simple.
- the spring element expediently has a spring characteristic that is as constant as possible, so that the balance force remains as possible over the entire stroke of the base body.
- the embodiment according to claim 21 is particularly useful because the balance force can be adjusted and varied very precisely pneumatically, hydraulically or magnetically, and the advantage is achieved that the value of the balance force is independent of the radial position of the base body.
- a particularly expedient embodiment with automatic adjustment of the stop device can be seen from claim 22.
- the distance sensor is set to a certain signal value at which the positive drive is stopped. If the gap width changes, the positive drive is operated in one direction or the other until the gap width is reached again. During operation, the positive drive ensures that the base body is properly fixed on the bracket.
- the operating control device is for setting the required diameter of the storage area responsible and at the same time also for the correct observance of the gap width, which it carries out by synchronously adjusting the base body of the stop device. With the operating control device, it is also possible, for example, to make fine adjustments to the trigger length during operation.
- the embodiment of claim 25 is particularly advantageous, in which the diameter of the storage area is adjusted during operation with simultaneous adjustment of the stop device in order to provide the correct trigger length depending on the consumer.
- This embodiment leads to a fundamental simplification when the system is started up: consumers and thread storage and delivery device.
- the trigger length is roughly set to the theoretically correct value.
- An automatic fine adjustment of the diameter is then carried out by the communication then taking place during operation between a thread sensor of the consumer, for example an arrival sensor or a target take-off length sensor of a machine, and the thread storage and delivery device.
- the thread sensor then gives deviations between the actual draw-off length and the desired draw-off length, which represent the necessary signals to the operating control device, which then adjusts. It downtimes are saved, which is of particular importance in the industrial application of the devices, and the operational reliability is high since the gap width is not subject to influences which are unforeseen by the manufacturer.
- the embodiment according to claim 26 is advantageous because, in the event of failure or malfunction of one stop device, it is possible to switch to another stop device.
- the correct gap width is ensured by means of the ring body and the gap width holding device and is removed from the unpredictable influence of third parties.
- a thread storage and delivery device F has a housing 1, an operating control device 2 having an input part 2a, for example for a drive motor 3, and a storage body 4 which is blocked against a rotational movement and which defines a rotationally symmetrical storage area 5.
- an operating control device 2 having an input part 2a, for example for a drive motor 3, and a storage body 4 which is blocked against a rotational movement and which defines a rotationally symmetrical storage area 5.
- a holder 6 for at least one stop device S, which cooperates with a stop element 7 with the storage area 5 in order to control the withdrawal of a thread Y from the storage area 5 in cycles.
- a passage gap 8 with a certain gap width W is provided between the stop device S and the storage area 5.
- the diameter of the storage area 5 can be changed by means of an adjusting device 9, which together forms the storage area 5 defining radially adjustable support elements 14 radially adjustable in the storage body 4.

- the thread Y runs to the left, is then guided to the outside and deposited in turns on the storage surface 5 by means of a winding element (not shown).
- the thread Y bears against the stop element 7 and extends from it via a thread guide element to a consumer C, for example to a jet weaving machine, in which a certain thread length is delivered with each weaving cycle.
- a thread sensor A monitors the arrival of the thread end or the correct length for each entry.
- the sensor A can with the Operation control device 2 of the thread storage and delivery device F are in signal-transmitting connection in order to change the diameter of the storage area 5 during operation while maintaining the gap width W such that the free end of the thread entered comes to lie exactly in the correct place.
- the motor 3 drives a hollow shaft 10 in the housing 1, on which a winding element 11 leads the thread Y obliquely outwards and to the storage area 5.
- Magnets 13 hold the storage body 4 rotatably mounted on the hollow shaft 10.
- the support elements 14 are assigned feed elements 15, which are driven by an inclined and eccentric hub 12 for a feed and separation movement.
- the stop device S which contains a drive 16 for the stop element 7, is radially displaceable with a base body G on radial guides 17 of the holder 6.
- radial shafts 18 support the support elements 14, which engage with non-illustrated engagement elements in a face thread 20 of an adjusting disk 19 rotatable on the storage body 4.
- the adjusting ring disk 19 can be rotated in both directions by means of a drive motor 22 and a reduction gear 21 in order to adjust all the support elements 14 together radially inwards or radially outwards.
- the adjustment device 9 can also be operated manually.
- the gap width holding device H is built into the thread storage and delivery device F and contains a gap gauge B, which is either mechanical or non-contact, and as the base body G in the adjustment of the support elements 14 entraining Coupling can be formed.
- An upwardly projecting extension 23 is used for manual control or actuation of the gap width holding device H, for example, it can be designed similar to that in FIG. 7 similar to that of FIG. 7.
- a mechanism M is provided for adjusting the radial position of the base body G.
- the base body G is connected to a slide 24, which is guided on the radial guides 17 of the holder 6 and carries an extension arm 26, which carries a clamping device Q and the gap gauge B.
- the gap gauge B has an approximately radially displaceable pressure element D, e.g. a plunger 25, the head part 27 of which is held by a return spring 25b on a cam track 30 of an actuating cam 29.
- the plunger 25 can be extended downward into the tactile position I shown, in which it engages with its free end 25a on an abutment 38 of the support element 14 which can be adjusted in the direction of a double arrow 39.
- the actuating cam 29 is seated in a rotationally fixed manner on an actuating shaft 28 which is mounted on the arm 26 so as to be rotatable and longitudinally displaceable and which carries an actuating lever 31.
- actuating shaft 28 At the other end of the actuating shaft 28, a thread or engaging element 33 is provided which engages in a counter thread or a counter engaging element 33 in the slide 24 in such a way that the actuating shaft 28 is displaced longitudinally when it rotates.
- a fixed disk 34 is arranged on the actuating shaft 28, on which a clamping spring 35 is supported, which can be tensioned against a lock 36, which can be brought into engagement on the radial guides 17.
- a spring 37 can be arranged which acts on the slide 24 radially inwards.
- the carriage 24 is clamped to the holder 6 by means of the clamping device Q.
- the pressure element D is withdrawn.
- the thread Y can pass through the passage gap 8 freely.
- the actuating lever 31 is pivoted until the actuating cam 29 extends the pressure element D into the tactile position I shown.
- the actuating shaft 28 is displaced in the longitudinal direction, the clamping spring 35 is relieved and the engagement of the arrester 36 is relaxed.
- the support element 14 carrying the abutment 38 pushes the carriage 24 outwards.
- the actuating lever 31 is turned back and the lock 36 is pressed against the guide 17.
- the pressure element D is withdrawn and the passage gap 8 is free.
- the cam track 31 expediently overlaps with the rotary region in which the arrester 36 already engages on the guides 17. This ensures that the clamping device Q already begins to clamp the carriage 24 before the pressure element D is withdrawn.
- the gap width W is held by the attack of the pressure element D on the abutment 38 of the support element 14. It would also be conceivable to use the mechanism M electromagnetically and as a function of the drive signals of the motor 22 of the actuating device To operate 9 of Fig. 3, or by electric motor.

- a length adjuster 40 is provided in the pressure element D (plunger 25 with a free end 25a and head part 27), e.g. a threaded connection that enables the effective length of the pressure element D and thus the gap width W, e.g. depending on the thread quality.
- a disc 43 which is arranged on the actuating shaft 28 and serves to act on a guide part 41 of the holder 6, serves as the arrester.
- a pull magnet 66 e.g. a permanent magnet may be provided, which ensures that the gap gauge B produces a coupling between the support element 14 and the base body G which is effective in both adjustment directions.
- a holding force is built up. This holding force is smaller than the force of the return spring 25b, but larger than the displacement resistance of the base body G on the holder 6.
- a positive drive Z is provided for the base body G, with which the base body G is relative to the holder 6 is adjustable.

- the base body G is floating on the radial guides 17.
- the value of the balance force P can be changed in order to adjust the gap width.
- the balance force P pushes the base body G towards the moving support element 14 in order to maintain the gap width W.
- the base body G is positioned in its floating guidance by the balance between the magnetic force K and the balance force P.
- the magnetic force K pushes the base body outwards against the balance force P.
- 8a and 8b are a front and side view of FIG. 7.
