Definitions

  • the invention relates to an automatic retraction mechanism for drawer pull-out guides with a guide rail to be fastened to the body wall and formed by a profile bent from sheet metal, which rail is folded upwards from a profile leg projecting essentially at right angles and horizontally from the body wall and from below into the Has associated profile leg, formed by a hollow profile open on the underside and detachably fastened to the drawer to be fastened to the drawer, on which, inside the running rail, rolling tracks are formed for rolling elements held in an elongated cage, which on the rolling tracks of the guide rail on the one hand and from assigned areas on the inner surface of the running rail, on the other hand, are able to roll off and thus enable a longitudinal displacement of the running rail relative to the guide rail, whereby on the guide rail a pivotable between two end positions and through a spring arrangement is arranged in a bistable manner in the end positions of the pretensioned component, which has an open-ended receptacle for a protrusion protruding from the running rail in a section that
  • roller-body-mounted pull-out guides have recently become widely used for pull-in and pull-out storage of drawers in the associated cabinet body, because the drawers are pushed in very smoothly even under heavy weight loads and can be moved out. It is precisely this easy running of this pull-out guide that also has the disadvantage that an inserted drawer is easily opened again accidentally, for example when a garment stuck to a person walking past the cabinet. Even when a drawer is closed with a lively impact, the abrupt impact of the drawer panel on the cabinet body can create a reaction force that easily opens the drawer again.
  • the raceways or taxiways of the interacting rails must therefore be executed in a straight line.
  • the problem of inadvertently opening a closed drawer by getting caught or the pumping action of the closing movement of another drawer was partially solved in that locking devices which became effective when the closing position was reached were provided between the rails of the pull-out guides, for example on a rail, preferably the guide rail elastic body, for example, a roller made of elastomeric plastic was stored, on the circumference of which a protrusion or projection provided rigidly on the other, ie the special case of the running rail, approaches immediately before reaching the closed position.
  • the elastic body ie the elastic roller
  • the elastic body is initially compressed radially until a maximum compression occurs in a dead center position.
  • the roller elastically deforming back into its original shape then urges the projection or projection and, via the guide rail rigidly connected to it, the drawer into the closed position.
  • the invention has for its object to provide an automatic feeder for pull-out guides, which is effective when closing a drawer mounted with it well before reaching the fully closed position and can also be designed so that the drawer - if desired - without exercising additional closing pressure is automatically guided into the fully closed position and kept closed.
  • this object is achieved according to the invention in that the pivotable component is mounted on the guide rail in a separate elongate housing about a substantially vertical axis, and in the housing a link guide cooperating with the pivotable component is formed ,
  • the housing is expediently releasably attached to the guide rail.
  • a releasable fastening can be carried out, for example, by arranging the housing on the underside of the horizontal leg of the guide rail by means of pins inserted into bores in this profile leg and emerging from the housing, which then fix the housing on the guide rail either by riveting or by forming an elastic expansion pin.
  • the guide rail can also have a slot-like elongated recess in the transition area between its horizontal and the angled right-angled profile leg entering the running rail, into which the housing can be inserted in a suitable manner into the intended fastening position, the housing on the one hand inserting the insertion depth into the recess limiting stops and, on the other hand, has at least two resilient tongues, the free ends of which can be resiliently pushed back when the housing is inserted into the guide rail recess in the intended fastening position behind the body-facing inner surface of the edged profile leg and secure the housing against retraction from the recess.
  • the projection which interacts with the receptacle of the pivotable component can either be provided rigidly on the running rail itself or alternatively and preferably on a fastening fitting holding the body-outer front end of the running rail on the front panel side on the drawer.
  • This fastening fitting and the projection can be designed as an integral plastic component, just as the housing accommodating the pivotable component is expediently made of plastic.
  • the additional, in the direction of the closing movement displacement path for the pivotable component is constructively advantageously made available in that at least one link groove is incorporated in the housing, which runs linearly over the greater part of its length in the drawer displacement direction, but at its outer end in an arcuate end section led to the associated body wall merges and that, on the pivotable component, two pins protruding into the link groove are formed at a distance from one another, the position of which is selected such that one is in the open position the drawer associated end position is in the arcuate front section of the link groove, while the second pin is in the front end region of the rectilinear section of the link groove.
  • the point of application of the spring on the pivotable component is then selected such that the line of action of the spring tension runs between the two pins when the pivotable component is in the open position.
  • This spring is preferably an elongated helical spring engaging the pivotable component on the one hand and the housing on the other hand, the length of which is dimensioned such that it exerts a residual prestressing force on the pivotable component in the drawer closed position.
  • the helical spring is expediently arranged in an elongate recess in the housing which runs essentially parallel to the rectilinear section of the link groove.
  • an elongated, flexible, preferably designed as a rope or chain tension member can act on the pivotable component, which is pre-tensioned by a separate tensioning device.
  • This tensioning device can have, for example, a rotatably mounted tensioning wheel which winds up the traction element on its peripheral surface and which is pre-tensioned by a spiral spring in a winding-up rotational position.
  • a rotatably mounted tensioning wheel which winds up the traction element on its peripheral surface and which is pre-tensioned by a spiral spring in a winding-up rotational position.
  • the automatic retraction mechanism according to the invention can only be effective if the pivotable component is actually in the swivel end position assigned to the open position when the associated drawer is inserted. However, it cannot be ruled out that - e.g. due to careless assembly of the guide rail - the pivotable component is in the pivot end position assigned to the closed position. Then the automatic feeder is obviously not functional and it is even conceivable that the drawer cannot then be pushed fully into the closed position because the projection assigned to the running rail then starts on the material of the pivotable component lying in front of the receptacle before the drawer is completely closed is.
  • this projection at least passes over the resilient latching lug, which then springs back open and takes the swivelable component with it when the drawer is pulled back briefly into the swivel end position assigned to the open position. I.e. the automatic retraction is then functional again by pulling the drawer back briefly.
  • FIG. 1 shows a sectional view at right angles to the pull-out direction through a pull-out guide designated in its entirety with 20, which shows the arrangement of the guide rail 22 on the associated body-supporting wall 24 and the arrangement of the running rail 26 below the floor 28 and next to the inner surface of the floor towering below Sidewall 30 of drawer 32 illustrates.
  • the guide rail 22 is folded in the usual way from sheet metal and has a vertical profile leg 34 provided for attachment to the supporting wall 24, a horizontal profile leg 36 bent at right angles from this, engaging under the drawer, and in turn bent upwards at a right angle from this and from below into the Associated running rail 26 engaging profile leg 38, at the end lying inside the running rail raceways for rolling elements held in a plastic cage 40, specifically a row of rollers 42 and two laterally spaced rows of balls 44 are formed.
  • Corresponding raceways are assigned to the rolling elements in the interior of the running rail 26, which is likewise formed from a metal sheet and is hollow on the underside.
  • the automatic pull-in mechanism 46 which draws the drawer 32 automatically towards the closed position and keeps it closed, is only indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1, whereby it can be seen that this automatic pull-in mechanism is located below the running rail 26 in the region of the transition from the profile leg 38 to Section leg 36 arranged part 48 and a pin-like projection 50 protruding from the running rail in the downward direction, which can either be attached directly to the running rail 26 or can also be part of a fitting holding the running rail to the drawer, as in the following in connection with FIGS 13 will be explained in more detail.
  • FIG. 5-7 an embodiment of the part 48 of the automatic feeder 46 assigned to the guide rail assigned only in dash-dotted lines is shown in a plan view, namely this part 48 is composed of essentially three individual parts, namely a flat elongated, preferably made of plastic injection molded open top housing 52, a flat member 54 which between two pivot end positions about an essentially vertical axis is pivotally mounted in the housing 52, and a spring, in the special case of a leg spring 56 which engages with a spring leg on the pivotable component 54 such that it is bistable in one of the two possible end positions are pushed and held in this end position. Due to an external force, the pivotable component 54 is counter to the acting spring force from the one, for example from the shown in FIG. 5, assigned to the drawer closed position, in the other, shown in phantom in the drawing, assigned to the drawer open position pivotable,
  • the housing 52 is relatively flat and elongated, so that in the position schematically illustrated in FIG. 1 it can be inserted into a slot-like recess 58 in the profiled rail 22, which is described in more detail below in connection with FIGS. 2 to 4. and can then be determined in the intended functional position.
  • the housing 52 and the recess 58 are therefore designed to match one another in such a way that the housing 52 can be pushed into contact with the wall sections of the profile leg 38 which laterally delimit the cutout 58, for which purpose rib-like stops 60 are provided on the opposite sides of the housing.
  • resilient tongues 62 are formed on both sides, which are initially pressed together resiliently when the housing 52 is pushed into the recess, but in the intended mounting position, however, spring up behind the inner surface of the profile leg 28 facing the body and then secure the housing against being pulled back out of the recess.
  • the position of the pivot axis of the pivotable component 54 and its outer shape can be seen in the drawing, it being apparent that the pivot axis is formed as far as possible in the direction of the body-supporting wall 24 in the interior of the housing and that the pivotable component 54 has in its opposite free end region an open-ended slot-like receptacle 64, into which the previously mentioned pin-like projection 50 can engage and take the pivotable component with it.
  • the pin-like projection 50 is shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 5 below the part 48, the arrow pointing at it indicating the direction in which it moves when the drawer is closed.
  • the pivotable component is then still in the swivel end position indicated by dash-dotted lines and assigned to the open position of the drawer.
  • the pin-like projection 50 moves into the receptacle 64 as it progresses in the direction of the arrow and displaces the pivotable component in the counterclockwise direction. After passing over the dead center, the aforementioned moment acting in the closing direction is created in the pivotable component 54 and is transmitted to the pin-like projection 50. Since this projection is rigidly connected to the running rail 26, which in turn holds the associated drawer 32, the drawer is inevitably pulled into the fully closed position.
  • FIGS. 2 to 4 show the section of the guide rail 22 in which the slot-like recess 58 is provided for receiving the part 48. It can be seen that the portion 58 'formed in the profile leg 38 in the recess 58 is somewhat wider than the portion 58''which continues in the profile leg 36, so that the profile leg 36 - in the direction of view of the flat side of the profile leg 38, forms laterally projecting strip-like areas . In the narrow end faces of the housing 52 of the part 48, horizontally extending grooves 59 with a suitable cross-section can be assigned, as are also shown in the housing of the exemplary embodiment described below in connection with FIGS. 5 to 10.
  • Figures 5 to 10 relate to the aforementioned embodiment
  • Figures 5 and 10 show the complete guide rail-associated part 48
  • Figures 8 and 9 show the housing 52
  • Figures 8 and 9 show the pivotable component 54.
  • the part assigned to the guide rail is designated by 48.
  • the pivotable component 54 is mounted in the housing 52, in this case in such a way that an initial pivoting movement of the component 54 when triggered by the drawer 32 moved in the closing direction or the projection 50 moved therewith then a straight-line retraction movement in the insertion direction is connected, which significantly increases the effective feed path.
  • the pivotable component 54 is not mounted on the housing 52 so as to be pivotable about a fixed axis, but in a link guide which consists of two pins 70, 72 projecting on both sides at a distance from one another from the component 54, and one link slot 74 in each of the two Component 54 is formed between receiving housing top walls.
  • the slotted groove (s) 74 is or are designed to be straight over most of their longitudinal extent, but merges at the front end into an arcuate section 74 'into which the pin 72 comes when the drawer is opened and then - the arcuate course of the section 74 is deflected accordingly, which results in the pivoting movement of the component 54, which enables the projection 50 associated with the running rail to emerge from the receptacle 64.
  • Component 54 is biased by an elongated coil spring 56 into the end position assigned to the drawer closed position, with one end of coil spring 56 in an opening 78 of component 54 and the other end in the interior end region of a section provided in housing 52 and parallel to the rectilinear section the slot groove 74 extending, the coil spring receiving recess 80 is held is.
  • the point of application of the coil spring 56 on the pivotable component 54 is selected so that the line of action of the spring tension exerted on the component 54 in the open position of the component 54 extends between the two pins 70, 72, as a result of which the component is held in the open position for so long , until the pivoting movement begins when the projection 50 is inserted into the receptacle 64 of the pin 70 from the arcuate section 74 'of the link groove 74 and releases it into the rectilinear section. Then the spring can pull the component back into the interior of the body, which then also pulls the drawer into the fully closed position and holds it there.
  • the length of the feed path depends practically exclusively on the length of the straight part of the link groove 54.
  • An extension of the link groove naturally also leads to an extension of the housing 52, in which case the corresponding recess 58 in the guide rail 22 would also have to be extended accordingly.
  • the guide rail recess 58 is then dispensed with and the weakening of the guide rail to be feared is avoided.
  • helical springs which have a sufficiently long spring travel with a sufficiently large remaining preload force in the closed position, are no longer available.
  • the pretension exerted on the pivotable component can then be exerted via an elongated, flexible tension member acting on the pivotable component, for example a rope or a chain, on which a tensioning device engages which provides sufficient spring travel.
  • This tensioning device can, for example, from a rotatably mounted tensioning wheel, which winds the tension member on its peripheral surface, which is biased in the winding direction of rotation by a spiral spring.
  • a resilient latching lug 82 is provided which - as can be seen in FIG. 5 - is retracted into the interior of the housing in the front end position of the component 54 assigned to the drawer open position, in the rear end position - shown only in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 5 - but protrudes from the housing.
  • the automatic retraction would not only be ineffective, but the drawer could also not be fully inserted because the projection 50 would approach the material of the component 54 lying in front of the receptacle 64 before the drawer is completely closed.
  • the latching lug 82 makes it possible to catch the projection 50 and then, when the drawer is pulled back once, to bring the pivotable component 54 back into the front end position, whereupon the automatic retraction function is fully functional again.
  • FIGS. 11 to 13 show a fastening fitting 90 for the front end of the running rail 26, which is known per se and is therefore not described in more detail.
  • a projection 94 is provided on a lever arm of a mounting arm 92 designed as a double-armed lever, which projection can be latched into a corresponding receiving opening in the facing side surface of the running rail 26. By pressing the other lever arm of the holding arm 92, the running rail can be released.
