Definitions
- the invention relates to an automatic retraction for drawer pull-out guides according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Pull-out guides mounted on rolling elements have prevailed on a large scale because the stored furniture parts can be inserted and pulled out very easily, even with heavy weight loads. It is precisely this easy running of such pull-out guides that also has the disadvantage that an inserted drawer is easily opened again inadvertently - for example when a piece of clothing stuck to a person walking past the cabinet.
- the drawer guides have therefore recently been designed in such a way that they inevitably transfer the drawer held by them into the fully closed position when approaching the closed position and hold them there with a closing force, albeit low.
- this holder is brought about by a component which can be pivoted about an axis between two end positions on the guide rail and is bistable in the pivoting end positions by a spring arrangement, in which a component A receptacle is provided for a projection provided on the running rail, which protrudes into the receptacle when the drawer is closed before it reaches the drawer closed position and takes the pivotable component with it.
- a component A receptacle is provided for a projection provided on the running rail, which protrudes into the receptacle when the drawer is closed before it reaches the drawer closed position and takes the pivotable component with it.
- the known automatic feeders can only be effective if the pivotable component actually moves in when the associated drawer is inserted the swivel end position assigned to the open position.
- the pivotable component is in the pivot end position assigned to the closed position.
- the automatic feeder is obviously not functional and it is even conceivable that the drawer cannot then be pushed fully into the closed position because the projection assigned to the running rail then starts on the material of the pivotable component lying in front of the receptacle before the drawer is completely closed is.
- this projection at least passes over the resilient latching lug, which then then springs back open and takes the swivelable component with it when the drawer is pulled back briefly into the swivel end position assigned to the open position. I.e. the automatic retraction is then functional again by this brief pulling back of the drawer, without the need for separate difficult manipulations.
- the pivotable component is mounted in a separate flat elongate housing, which is preferably detachably attached to the horizontal profile leg of the guide rail.
- Such a releasable fastening can be carried out, for example, by arranging the housing on the underside of the horizontal leg of the guide rail by means of pins inserted into bores in this profile leg and emerging from the housing, which then fix the housing on the guide rail either by riveting or by forming an elastic expansion pin.
- the guide rail can also have a slot-like elongated recess in the transition region between its horizontal and the angled profile leg entering the running rail, into which the housing can be inserted appropriately into the intended fastening position, the housing on the one hand inserting the insertion depth into the recess limiting stops and on the other hand at least two resilient tongues has whose spring-loaded free ends spring back when the housing is inserted into the guide rail recess in the intended fastening position behind the body-facing inner surface of the upturned profile leg and secure the housing against withdrawal from the recess.
- the projection cooperating with the receptacle of the pivotable component can either be provided rigidly on the running rail itself or alternatively and preferably on a fastening fitting holding the body-outer front end of the running rail on the front panel side on the drawer.
- This fastening fitting and the projection can be designed as an integral plastic component, just as the housing receiving the pivotable component is expediently made of plastic.
- the pivoting component depends on the length of the lever arm, which is given between the bearing axis of the pivotable component and the receptacle. It can be seen that the length of the lever arm depends essentially on the dimensions of the pull-out guides and cannot become very large, i.e. thus the effective feed path is limited.
- An enlargement of the feed path is achieved in an advantageous development of the invention, which is characterized in that a link guide which interacts with the pivotable component is formed in the housing, which inevitably moves the pivotable component into the open position in the swivel end position assigned to the drawer open position Mouth of the receptacle leads into the position aligned with the protrusion and, when the protrusion moves into the receptacle during the closing movement after pivoting into the swivel end position assigned to the drawer closed position, an additional, in Provides the direction of the closing movement displacement path for the pivotable component, and that a spring is provided which exerts a biasing force directed towards the drawer closed position on the pivotable component.
- the configuration is expediently such that at least one link groove is incorporated in the housing, which runs rectilinearly in the drawer displacement direction over the greater part of its length, but at its outer end merges into an arcuate end section guided to the associated body wall, and that on the pivotable one Component with a distance from each other two protruding into the link groove are formed, the position of which is selected so that one is in the end position assigned to the open position of the drawer in the arcuate section of the link groove, while the second pin in the front end region of the rectilinear section of the link groove stands.
- the point of application of the spring on the pivotable component is then selected such that the line of action of the spring tension runs between the two pins when the pivotable component is in the open position.
- This spring is preferably an elongated helical spring engaging the pivotable component on the one hand and the housing on the other hand, the length of which is dimensioned such that it exerts a residual prestressing force on the pivotable component in the drawer closed position.
- the helical spring is expediently arranged in an elongate recess in the housing which runs essentially parallel to the rectilinear section of the link groove.
- Figure 1 shows a right-angled to the pulling direction through a pulling guide, designated in its entirety by 20, which shows the arrangement of the guide rail 22 on the associated body support wall 24 and the arrangement of the running rail 26 below the floor 28 and next to the inner surface of the floor downwardly projecting side wall 30 of the drawer 32 illustrated.
- the guide rail 22 is folded in the usual way from sheet metal and has a vertical profile leg 34 provided for attachment to the supporting wall 24, a horizontal profile leg 36 bent at right angles from this, engaging under the drawer, and in turn bent upwards at a right angle from this and from below into the Associated running rail 26 engaging profile leg 38, at the end ligating inside the running rail raceways for rolling elements held in a plastic cage 40, specifically a row of rollers 42 and two laterally spaced rows of balls 44 are formed.
- Corresponding raceways are assigned to the rolling elements in the interior of the running rail 26, which is likewise formed from a metal sheet and is hollow on the underside.
- the drawer 32 automatically pulls into the fully closed position when approaching the closed position closed automatic retraction 46 is only indicated by dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1, it being recognizable that this automatic retraction has a part 48 arranged below the running rail 26 in the region of the transition from the profile leg 38 to the profile leg 36 and a pin-like projection 50 protruding from the running rail in the downward direction which can either be attached directly to the running rail 26 or can also be part of a fitting holding the running rail on the drawer, as will be explained in more detail below in connection with FIGS. 13 and 15.
- FIG. 2 shows a top view of a generic embodiment of the part 48 of the automatic feeder 46 associated with the guide rail shown only in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 1, the generic part being provided with corresponding deleted reference numerals in contrast to the exemplary embodiment of the invention described below. Specifically, this part 48 'arranged in place of part 48 in FIG.
- a flat elongated housing 52' preferably injection molded from plastic
- a flat component 54 ' which is between two pivoting End positions about an essentially vertical axis is pivotally mounted in the housing 52 '
- a spring in the special case of a leg spring 56', which acts on the pivotable component 54 'with a spring leg in such a way that it is bistable in one of the two possible end positions are pushed and held in this end position.
- the pivotable component 54 ' is counter to the acting spring force from the one, for example from the illustrated in FIG. 2, assigned to the drawer closed position, to the other, shown in dash-dotted lines in the drawing, assigned to the drawer open position pivotable.
- the closing torque generated by the preload of the spring initially less and less until it disappears in a dead center position, and then becomes increasingly more effective again when it is pivoted again, but in the opposite direction of rotation.
- the geometric assignment of the axis of rotation of the pivotable component, the support surface of the spring and its position is made here in such a way that the aforementioned dead center position is reached immediately before the end position assigned to the drawer open position, so that the pivotable component assigned to the pivot position in this open position End position holding moment is very low and no noticeable force must be exerted to overcome this opening torque when inserting a drawer.
- the pin-like projection 50 is shown in dot-dash lines in FIG. 2 below the part 48 ', the arrow pointing at it indicating the direction in which it moves when the drawer is closed.
- the pivotable component is then still in the swivel end position indicated by dash-dotted lines and assigned to the open position of the drawer. It can be seen that the pin-like projection 50 moves into the receptacle 64 'as it progresses in the direction of the arrow and displaces the pivotable component in the counterclockwise direction. After passing over the dead center, the aforementioned moment acting in the closing direction arises in the pivotable component 54 ′ and is transmitted to the pin-like projection 50. Since this projection is rigidly connected to the running rail 26, which in turn holds the associated drawer 32, the drawer is inevitably pulled into the fully closed position.
- the pin-like projection 50 can only engage from the predetermined direction. If the projection 50 is once on the wrong side of the pivotable component 54 ', the pull-out guide is blocked.
- FIGS. 3 to 8 show various details of an exemplary embodiment according to the invention, FIGS. 3 and 8 showing the complete part 48 assigned to the guide rail, FIGS. 4 and 5 the housing 52 and FIGS. 5 and 7 the pivotable component 54.
- the housing 52 is relatively flat and elongated, so that in the position shown schematically in FIG. 1, it is inserted into a slot-like recess 58 in the profiled rail 22, which is described in more detail below in connection with FIGS. 9 to 11, and then in the intended functional position is definable.
- the housing 52 and the recess 58 are therefore designed to match one another in such a way that the housing 52 can be pushed into contact with the wall sections of the profile leg 38 which laterally delimit in the cutout 58, for which purpose rib-like stops 60 are provided on the opposite sides of the housing.
- resilient tongues 62 are formed on both sides, which are initially pressed together resiliently when the housing 52 is pushed into the recess, but spring open behind the body-facing inner surface of the profile leg 28 in the intended mounting position and then secure the housing against being pulled back out of the recess.
- pivot axis of the pivotable component 54 The position of the pivot axis of the pivotable component 54 and its outer shape can be seen in the drawing, it being apparent that the pivot axis is formed as far as possible in the direction of the body-supporting wall 24 inside the housing, and that the pivotable component 54 in its opposite free End region has an open-ended slot-like receptacle 64, in which the previously mentioned pin-like projection 50 can engage and take the pivotable component with it.
- the pivotable component 54 is mounted in the housing 52, in this case in such a way that an initial pivoting movement of the component 54 when it is triggered by the drawer 32 moved in the closing direction or the projection 50 moved with it, a straight pull-in movement in the insertion direction is then connected, as a result of which the effective pull-in path is significantly increased compared to the previously described exemplary embodiments.
- the pivotable component 54 is not mounted on the housing 52 such that it can pivot about a fixed axis, but rather in a link guide, which consists of two pins 70, 72 projecting on both sides at a distance from one another from the component 54 and one link slot 74 in each, the component 54 is formed between receiving housing top walls.
- the slotted groove (s) 74 is or are designed to be straight over most of their longitudinal extent, but merges at the front end into an arcuate section 74 'into which the pin 72 comes when the drawer is opened and then - the arcuate course of the section 74 is deflected accordingly, which results in the pivoting movement of the component 54, which enables the projection 50 associated with the running rail to emerge from the receptacle 64.
- the component 54 is biased by an elongated coil spring 56 into the end position assigned to the drawer closed position, the end of the coil spring 56 in an opening 78 of the component 54 and the other end in the interior end region of a provided in the housing 52 and parallel to the rectilinear section of the Link groove 74 extending, the coil spring receiving recess 80 is held.
- the point of application of the helical spring 56 on the pivotable component 54 is selected such that the line of action of the spring tension exerted on the component 54 in the open position of the component 54 extends between the two pins 70, 72, as a result of which the component is held in the open position for so long until, by the beginning of the pivoting movement when the projection 50 is inserted into the receptacle 64, the pin 70 is released from the arcuate section 74 'of the link groove 74 and into crosses the straight section. Then the spring can pull the component back into the interior of the body, which then also pulls the drawer into the fully closed position and holds it there.
- the length of the feed path depends practically exclusively on the length of the straight part of the link groove 54.
- An extension of the link groove naturally also leads to an extension of the housing 52, in which case the corresponding recess 58 in the guide rail 22 would also have to be extended accordingly.
- the guide rail recess 58 is then dispensed with and the weakening of the guide rail to be feared is avoided.
- a resilient latching lug 82 is now provided in front of the receptacle 64, which - as can be seen in FIG. 3 - is retracted into the interior of the housing in the front end position of the component 54 assigned to the drawer open position , but in the rear end position - shown only in broken lines in FIG. 3 - protrudes from the housing.
- the automatic retraction would not only be ineffective, but the drawer could also not be fully inserted because the projection 50 would approach the material of the component 54 lying in front of the receptacle 64 before the drawer is completely closed.
- the latching lug 82 makes it possible to catch the projection 50 and then, when the drawer is pulled back once, the pivotable one To transfer component 54 back to the front end position, whereupon the automatic feeder is fully functional again.
- FIGS. 9 to 11 show the section of the guide rail 22 in which the slot-like recess 58 for receiving the part 48 (according to FIGS. 3 to 8) is provided. It can be seen that the portion 58a formed in the profile leg 38 in the recess 58 is somewhat wider than the portion 58b continuing in the profile leg 36, so that the profile leg 36 - in the direction of view of the flat side of the profile leg 38 - forms laterally projecting strip-like areas, which In the narrow end faces of the housing 52 of the part 48, horizontally extending grooves 59 with a suitable cross section can be assigned, as shown in the housing of the embodiment described in connection with FIGS. 3 to 8.
- FIGS. 12 to 14 show a fastening fitting 90 for the front end of the running rail 26, which is known per se and is therefore not described in more detail.
- this fitting 90 it should only be mentioned that a projection 94 is provided on a lever arm of a mounting arm 92 designed as a double-armed lever, which projection can be snapped into a corresponding receiving opening in the facing side surface of the running rail 26. By pressing the other lever arm of the holding arm 92, the running rail can be released.
