Definitions

  • the invention relates to an emery machine with an emery roller that is densely populated with blow bars extending parallel to the axis of rotation, which is used to pass a textile web of fabric passed under tension, in particular with the aid of feed rods, by wiping the pile with a sanding belt wound around the emery roller through the blow bars to edit.
  • Such an emery machine is known from document US-A-3229346.
  • a tapping or shaking device is described, with the help of which a textile fabric is to be loosened and made more voluminous.
  • a tapping or shaking device is arranged in the machine, which consists of one or more rollers equipped with blow bars.
  • the fabric is guided substantially tangentially past the circle of rollers described by the outer edges of the blow bars, so that threads protruding from the fabric can be opened - for plush, velor, terry formation or the like.
  • emery machines In the textile industry, a distinction is made between emery machines and grinding machines.
  • a special feature of the type of emery machine is that the fabric web is held against the surface of the respective emery roller only with its own longitudinal tension. This has blow bars that extend parallel to the roller axis and are wrapped, preferably in a spiral, with emery tape.
  • the alternative of the emery roller, the so-called sanding roller is coated over the entire surface or on a sample with an abrasive.
  • a grinding machine is described in DE-OS 25 32 459. In such a machine, the textile fabric to be treated is conveyed through the gap between a grinding roller and a counter roller pressed against the periphery of the grinding roller.
  • the present invention relates only to emery rolls or emery machines.
  • the fabric to be treated e.g. B. with the help of delivery rods or delivery rollers, around a part - in particular about a quarter - around the rotating emery roller, such that the pile of the fabric - indirectly - comes into contact with the blow bar.
  • the blow bars wiped the pile.
  • the invention is based on the knowledge that a short wiping contact leads to a relatively short pile of the fabric and that the density of the pile increases with the frequency of wiping contact per unit of time. After that you would Get a short, dense pile at high speed and a longer pile at lower speed with one and the same emery roller. Depending on its length, however, an emery roller has a critical speed at which the shaft vibrates and at which it is not possible to work properly. In addition, the roller and its storage must be designed much stronger than required for normal operation if the critical speed is to be run through. For this purpose, reference is made to DE-PS 27 40 402.
  • the invention has for its object to provide an emery roller that allows a significantly increased number of contacts and a disproportionately reduced length of time of each individual wiping contact compared to the prior art of Tecknik at substantially unchanged speed range.
  • the solution for the emery machine of the type mentioned at the outset is that the front and rear longitudinal edges of each beater bar in the direction of rotation of the emery roll are separated from one another by a recess extending in the longitudinal direction of the beater bar for carrying out successive individual beats.
  • each blow bar is equipped with two separately acting longitudinal edges or blow edges, by also forming the rear longitudinal edge of the blow bar, which is ineffective according to the prior art, as well as the front edge which acts as well as the front edge, is - by one and the same measure - at unchanged speed range, the frequency of contact doubled and the duration of each individual wiping contact proportionally reduced even more, because the front and rear longitudinal edges or striking edges of each blow bar coming into contact with the pile can be made relatively narrow - in the circumferential direction of the roller.
  • a further improvement is achieved if the two separately acting longitudinal edges of the blow bar are rounded off with a radius of curvature in the order of the pile length to be processed. This measure creates a round striking edge, the wiping contact time of which is even significantly shorter at half the speed of the emery roller than in known striking bars with peripherals running approximately parallel (coaxial) to the roller circumference.
  • the recess between the front and rear Long edge as deep as you want; a minimum depth is determined by the fact that the respective rear longitudinal edge can act as a striking edge at all; the recess can reach a maximum of approximately the level in which fastening means are provided on both sides of the blow bar.
  • Good processing results regarding the brevity and density of a pile to be produced can already be achieved if the front and rear striking edges have the prescribed narrow rounded shape with a relatively solid and therefore stable beating bar, but the recess has a flat cross section (perpendicular to the axis of rotation) - seen from the outside - forms a concave arc.
  • the radius of curvature of this circular arc can be relatively large and can preferably be chosen in the order of 1 ⁇ 2 to 1 ⁇ 4 the circumferential direction of the strip thickness measured.
  • Such a blow bar can be made sufficiently tear-resistant with little effort. It is only essential that the front edge of the rear longitudinal edge of the blow bar, which is in the direction of rotation, can have an effect on the pile material guided past the emery roller like a conventional blow edge.
  • an emery roller denoted overall by 1, is shown in cross section, with the roller body of which 2 impact bars 3 are connected with the aid of screw bolts 4.
  • the blow bars 3 are preferably made of wood, the roller body 2 is designed as a metal tube.
  • the number of bolts 4 depends on the quality and length of the blow bars 3.
  • the entire roller body 2 is wrapped with an - preferably spirally guided - emery belt 14 in such a way that a dense emery cover with a polygonal cross section results.
  • the number of corners of this cross-section perpendicular to the axis of rotation 12 of the roller is equal to the number of striking edges.
  • Each blow bar 3 has a front longitudinal edge 6 in the direction of rotation 5 and a rear longitudinal edge 7. If the direction of rotation is reversed, the designations must be changed accordingly. While in conventional emery rolls 1 the periphery of the blow bars 3 essentially form a circular arc or a chord of the circle spanned by the outer edges 8 of each blow bar, in the exemplary embodiment a flat concave recess 9 is provided between the front and rear longitudinal edges 6 and 7 of each blow bar 3. Through this recess 9, which - if the material stability is sufficient - could in principle also extend to the level of the screws 4, it is achieved that the front and rear longitudinal edges 6, 7 of each impact bar 3 as separate impact edges on the one at the periphery 10 of Emery roller 1 act along fabric web 11.
  • the contact area between the fabric web 11 and the emery roller 1 can be specified with the aid of feed rods 13 (or the like). In the exemplary embodiment shown, a contact area of approximately 1 ⁇ 4 the length of the periphery 10 is provided.
  • each blow bar 3 itself are designed as separate, rounded blow edges.
  • This striking edge can, for example, have a radius of curvature of the order of 5 mm, that is to say of the order of the length of a pile to be processed.
  • the recess 9 provided on the periphery of each blow bar forms a flat - seen from the outside - a concave circular arc in cross section, as seen perpendicular to the axis of rotation 12 of the emery roller 1.
  • this circular arc has a radius of curvature on the order of approximately two thirds of the peripheral width of each blow bar 3.
