Definitions

  • the invention relates to a toe of a safety ski binding according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • the sole holder arms preferably form a so-called tilting jaw (DE-A-3734492 published on April 20, 1989, 3742391 published on June 22, 1989), that is to say that the sole holder arms which can be swung out laterally are supported elastically on the binding housing via and about in the tilting surfaces provided on both sides of the central longitudinal axis In the area of the tilting surfaces, essentially vertical tilting axes can be pivoted out elastically to the right or left.
  • the tilting jaw is formed in two parts in that each sole holder arm is articulated to the joint, for example a spring-loaded pull rod.
  • the type of front jaws according to the invention also include those in which the articulated to the binding housing and e.g. sole holder arms held in their normal position by a spring-loaded yoke are provided (DE-A-3337993).
  • the aim of the invention is to create a toe of the type mentioned, which, despite the fact that it consists of a ski-proof housing and laterally pivotable sole holder arms, gives the impression of a one-piece whole and, in particular, a largely step-free, corner-free and edge-free outer surface in the area has between the binding housing and the sole holder arms, so that dirt, snow and ice cannot penetrate into the movement mechanism of the toe piece via the freedom of movement, snagging is prevented by an irregular outer surface in the area between the housing and the sole holder arms and also the cleaning and keeping the Binding are significantly favored, and the triggering and resetting behavior is also to be improved.
  • the filling piece not only the space between the binding housing and the sole holder arms is filled by means of the filling piece in such a way that the binding housing is uniform over the filling piece without major jumps. Edges and corners and in particular in a substantially streamlined manner merges into the sole holder arms, but because of its elastic design the filler also contributes to the release and restoring behavior of the binding, but only corresponding to a fraction of the restoring force generated by the release spring, so that the release behavior of the Toe is mainly determined by the release spring.
  • the filler piece acts radially outside the assigned swivel axis and thus on the side of the swivel axis facing away from the release spring, the swivel axis is relieved to a certain extent from the elastic forces, and the return of the sole holder arms to the normal position is provided by the one supplied by the filler piece elastic restoring force favors. Furthermore, the filler bel exerts a damping effect on the sole holder arms that snap back into its normal position, which reduces the wear on the parts of the toe piece that work together.
  • the features of claim 5 ensure that the binding housing on the filler passes continuously into the sole holder arms.
  • the procedure should be as described in claim 6. It is also advantageous here that a particularly uniform contribution of the filling piece to the restoring force is achieved.
  • the filler is advantageously attached according to claim 8.
  • a releasable attachment is preferred in order to be able to replace a damaged filler at any time and also to be able to implement different triggering forces by means of fillers of different hardness.
  • a particularly economical and simple design of the toe is characterized by claim 11.
  • the manufacturing-technically complex measures for a pretensioning are omitted adjustable release spring.
  • the adaptation to the optimal release force for the individual skier can then be brought about.
  • the spring properties of the filler can be effectively influenced by the measures of claims 13, 14.
  • the ribs can protrude beyond the outer surfaces of the housing and the sole holder arms or be flush with them.
  • the two sole holder arms 18 are articulated to one another and to a tie rod 29 via a vertical joint pin 30.
  • the pull rod 29 is formed in two parts in the manner shown, these two parts being connected to one another in a form-fitting manner and longitudinally adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the ski via an internal or external thread.
  • the pull rod 29 is positively connected to a release spring 14, which is designed as a compression spring and is supported at its other end on an abutment 33 fixed to the housing, which centrally has a passage opening for the pull rod 29 having.
  • a ski boot from the front supporting rollers 34 with a vertical axis of rotation and the ski boots substantially laterally supporting rollers 35 with a vertical axis of rotation are arranged.
  • the sole holder arms 18 also overlap the sole tip from above.
  • This movement is carried out by the sole holder arm 18 when excessive lateral force acts on the set and not shown ski boots.
  • the sole holder arm 18 swivels about a pivot axis 13 defined by the tilt surface 27 and the counter tilt surface 28, the pull rod 29 moving to the rear and the release spring 14 being compressed accordingly.
  • the range of motion 11 between the sole holder arms 18 and the binding housing 15 is filled by an elastic filler 12, which on its surfaces facing the outside atmosphere is essentially flush with the outer surfaces 16 and 17 of the housing 15 and the sole holder arm 18.
  • the filler 12 Inward from the projection carrying the tilting surface 27, the filler 12 has a clear distance 38.
  • the filling piece 12 bears on a support surface 23 of the sole holder arm 18 and on a support surface 24 of the housing 15, which extend essentially in the lateral direction and upwards.
  • a tapered sack cavity 19 is provided in the housing 15 in each case next to the release spring 14, in which a fastening projection 20 protruding from the filling piece 12 engages.
  • the fastening projection 20 merges via a ring step 22, which rests on the support surface 24, into the filler 12 having a larger cross section.
  • the filler 12, the fastening projection 20 and the sack cavity 19 are only shown on the right side of the vertical central longitudinal plane 26. To the left of the central longitudinal plane 26, a corresponding arrangement for filling the freedom of movement 11 is to be thought of as a mirror image.
  • the binding housing 15 has a base plate 37 with a tread plate 38 which projects behind the sole holder arms 18 and which are fastened to the ski 40 by means of screws 39.
  • the pull rod 29 is arranged with the axis sloping forward relative to the surface of the ski 40 and engages on an upwardly tapering circumferential surface 41 on the hinge pin 30, as described in detail in DE-A-3720440.
  • the filler 12 and the fastening projection 20 are arranged according to FIGS. 2 and 4 in a similar manner as in the embodiment of FIG. 1.
  • Fig. 4 makes it clear that in the side view, the filler piece 12 falls obliquely downwards and backwards from above in order to ensure a particularly favorable suspension behavior.
  • FIG. 5 shows only the right half of the toe piece shown in FIG. 2, and only in the cutout 42, which is outlined in FIG. 2 by a dash-dotted line.
  • Fig. 5 shows the right sole holder arm in a laterally pivoted position, in which the filler 12 is elastically compressed.
  • the filler 12 has on its lateral surfaces and the upper surface slightly projecting and parallel ribs 25, which according to FIG. 2 with the outer surfaces 16, 17 of the housing 15 or the sole holder arms 18 are flush, so that there are inwardly projecting grooves between the ribs 25 with respect to the outer surfaces 16, 17.
  • the spring behavior of the filler 12 is influenced favorably.
