- Such a side channel compressor is known from DE-PS 27 13 091. It has been shown that when gases laden with dust are conveyed, dust can be deposited in the gap between the base of the blade ring and the part of the housing which engages under it. The dust deposits can become so strong, especially when it is sticky or moisture-laden dust, that the gap is completely blocked by the dust. This leads to high frictional forces, which under certain circumstances can become so large that they block the impeller or prevent a restart after a break in operation.
- the invention has for its object to develop a side channel compressor according to the preamble of claim 1 so that blocking of the impeller is prevented by deposited dust.
- the scraper is arranged in the circumferential direction of the housing in the region between the center of the housing relating to the inlet and outlet opening and the inlet opening.
