Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cuboid packaging for cigarettes or the like.
  • an inner wrapping surrounding a cigarette group in particular a tinfoil cut, and with an outer wrapping made of paper or thin cardboard, the inner wrapping at least in the area of narrow side walls and an upper end wall folding flaps ( inner and outer side flaps and end flaps) with partial overlap and in the area of a front wall a removable opening flap (flap), the side flaps being connected to one another by gluing in the area of a covering strip to form a tight adhesive strip, possibly with the formation of a fin fold.
  • the invention relates to a method for producing such or packaging or inner wrapping.
  • the packaging for cigarettes found on the market is predominantly designed in such a way that a cigarette group is encased by an inner cut (tinfoil cut), which has side lobes that partially overlap each other in the area of side walls and whose upper end wall is also made of envelope-folded front lobes with partial cover consists.
  • the front wall of this inner casing is provided with a removable flap. This is either designed as a separate blank (made of tinfoil), which is folded with it as part of the inner covering. In many cases, however, the opening tab is part of the inner casing itself and is separated from it by punching with residual connections.
  • Such inner wrappings or tinfoil blocks can be found in packaging of the hinge-lid type and soft cups.
  • DE-U-1 626 136 describes a soft cigarette pack made of aluminum, laminated metal foil or the like, in which the narrow long sides are folded and completely or partially connected with adhesive, and in which the glue-free wrapping at the head end of the pack is done by a closure mark and / or banderole is held.
  • this is a soft pack of simple structure, the contents of which are not protected against drying out and loss of aroma after opening the pack.
  • EP 134 550 A2 relates to a cap box consisting of a box part for receiving a cigarette group and a hinged lid connected via an articulated axis.
  • An interior blank which is improved with regard to the maintenance of moisture and aroma is provided with an inherently closed fold-free upper wall, in which a removal opening is provided which extends to one end of the cigarettes and comprises a partial area of approximately one third of the area of the upper wall. This is covered by a closure flap which is formed at least on an edge opposite the articulation point with an overlapping edge strip which lies loosely on the upper wall or with a releasable connection, for.
  • a peel-seal strip can be attached to the top wall.
  • the side walls of the inner blank are formed from longitudinal side tabs which partially overlap one another. This training too can only unsatisfactorily secure the contents (cigarettes) against drying out and loss of aroma.
  • EP 0 007 423 A1 describes a generic cigarette pack with an inner wrapper 38, which has a special design.
  • a previously formed tube surrounds the cigarettes in such a way that they are arranged transversely to the tube direction.
  • Sealing seams which also run transversely to the tube direction, thereby extend in the direction of the cigarettes and are formed in the region of the side walls of the pack or in the region of corresponding side surfaces of the inner wrapper.
  • the front surface and the bottom surface of the inner casing are closed and free of folds.
  • the above-mentioned closure seams are connected to one another by a seam when the inside of the film is in contact, and the closure strip formed thereby is folded over (fin folding).
  • the invention has for its object to propose an inner wrapping made of tinfoil or the like.
  • tinfoil for cigarette groups or the like. This is economical to manufacture and in which maximum insulation of the package contents against loss of aroma and moisture is ensured without being hermetically sealed tight inner wrapping problems arise when using the pack.
  • the side tabs are glued to a section corresponding to the structural height or length of the opening tab and the other non-bonded covering strips in the area of the opening tab corresponding section including the front side tabs lie against one another without connection or that in the case of bonding
  • the opening flap can be separated by a side cut (perforation, punching) extending alongside the adhesive strip and that the adhesive strip formed in each case is folded over with the subsequent non-adhesive portion until it touches the side wall.
  • the usual material for the inner wrapping in particular tinfoil, is inherently relatively aroma and moisture proof.
  • tinfoil is inherently relatively aroma and moisture proof.
  • the side tabs which partially overlap each other, are only tightly connected to one another outside the area of the opening tab, in particular by continuous strip-shaped gluing. Adjacent to the opening flap, namely over the full height of the flap, the side flaps and also the front flaps are not connected to one another. As a result, the opening flap can be pulled off in the usual way without interference in order to form the removal opening for the cigarettes.
  • the predominant area of the inner wrapping on the side walls is tightly sealed, so that overall the loss of aroma and moisture occurring during storage is considerably reduced.
  • the side tabs can be brought into the position of a fin fold at least in the region of the bond, so that the overlap strips lie against one another with the inner surfaces and are connected to one another to form a bond strip.
  • the opening tab can be designed in a conventional manner.
  • the opening tab in the area of the side walls is delimited by a side cut that runs obliquely upwards to the end wall. This results in an extension of the adhesive strip in the area of the side walls and a further improvement in aroma and moisture conservation.
  • the covering strips of the side tabs are first folded into a position in which the inner sides are turned outwards.
  • a connecting means glue
  • glue is to be applied to the side tabs or cover strips by simply designed tools, e.g. B. by arranged laterally next to a conveyor for the tinfoil blocks, rotating about vertical axes glue rolls.
  • the overlap strips are then pressed against one another in a position transverse to the plane of the side walls.
  • the overlapping strips now connected to one another are then folded over against the side walls.
  • the inner casing thus formed can be produced economically using the above method on common packaging machines.
  • the exemplary embodiments shown relate to cigarette packaging. Only one inner wrapper 20 for one cigarette group 21 is shown.
  • the cuboid structure - cigarette or tinfoil block 22 - is accommodated in a corresponding outer wrapper, in particular a hinged box (hinge-lid pack) or a (soft) cup.
  • the inner casing is preferably made of tinfoil.
  • the cigarette group 21 is enveloped by the inner wrapping 20 in such a way that a front wall 23, a rear wall 24, bottom wall 25, end wall 26 and elongated side walls 27 and 28 are formed.
  • the cut of the inner covering 20 is folded so that the front wall 23, rear wall 24 and bottom wall 25 are continuously closed - apart from an opening flap 29 to be described in the area of the front wall 23.
  • the end wall 26 is formed by envelope-like folded flaps, namely trapezoidal longitudinal front flaps 30 and 31. These are connected to front wall 23 and rear wall 24, respectively.
  • the end wall 26 consists of end flaps 32 and 33, each adjoining the side walls 27 and 28.
  • the side tabs 34 and 35 which extend over the full length of the side walls 27 and 28, are dimensioned such that they overlap one another in the region of a bonding strip 36 with overlapping strips 37, 38 arranged on the edge of each side tab 34, 35.
  • These covering strips 37, 38 are firmly and tightly connected to one another in a partial region of the side walls 27, 28, namely by gluing, welding or the like.
  • the overlap strips 37, 38 also extend in the area of the end flaps 32, 33, since these originally form extensions of the cut parts for the side walls 27, 28, namely before folding over.
  • the fixed connection or gluing of the covering strips 37, 38 extends only over a partial area facing the bottom wall 25.
  • An upper section 39 of the covering strips 37, 38 facing the end wall 26 remains free of adhesions.
  • the overlap strips 37, 38 lie against one another without connection.
  • this section 39 in the region of the side walls 27, 28 corresponds approximately to the structural height or length of the opening flap 29.
  • this is formed from the cut of the inner casing 20, namely by means of a transverse punch 40 (separating cut) in the region of the front wall 23 with residual connections 41 and delimited by connection cuts 42 in the region of the side walls 27, 28.
  • the connection cuts 42 extend only in the region of the side tabs 35 facing the front wall 23, likewise with residual connections 41.
  • the overlap strip 37 running on the side tab 35 can be severed by the correspondingly extending connecting cut 42.
  • the connection cut 42 ends in front of the covering strip 37 in question, so that it is continuous.
  • the section 39 that is not sealed that is to say by covering strips 37, 38 connected to one another by gluing, is shortened in that the connecting cuts 42 —in the region of the side walls 27, 28 and in the region of the side tabs 35, respectively Starting from the end of the transverse punch 40, it runs obliquely upwards in the direction of the end wall 26 (FIG. 9).
  • the connection cut 42 ends here at a short distance below the end wall 26. Accordingly, when the opening tab 29 is pulled off, an oblique edge 43 is formed in the region of the side tab 35.
  • the covering strips 37 and 38 of the side tabs 34, 35 are continuously and tightly connected to one another over the full length in the region of the adhesive strip 36.
  • Suitable connecting means which are known in the packaging industry are suitable adhesives which are applied in strips to the covering strips 37, 38. Instead, a hot-melt strip is also suitable as a connecting and sealing agent.
  • the side tabs 34, 35 are folded in a special way, namely in such a way that the overlap strips 37, 38 lie against one another with their inner sides and are glued to one another, that is, with conventional tinfoil, to the paper sides.
  • the covering strips 37, 38 thus form a fin which extends in the longitudinal center of the side walls 27, 28 and is oriented transversely to the latter.
  • the covering strips 37, 38 are firmly and tightly connected to one another in the region of the adhesive strip. Due to the special design of this lateral fold, the adhesive strip extends into the area of a triangular gusset 44 which is formed as a transition between the bottom wall 25 and the side walls 27, 28.
  • the adhesive strip 36 is folded over in the direction of the rear wall 24, so that the covering strips 37 assigned to the side tab 35 of the front wall 23 are on the outside. This makes it easier to pull off the opening tab 29 when the inner casing 20 is opened. By cutting through the remaining connections 41 and the overlapping strip 37, this is pulled off slightly with the opening tab 29.
  • the arrangement is such that the part of the covering strip 37 connected to the opening tab 29 lies at the top and can be pulled off together with the longitudinal end tab 30 sitting on the opening tab 29.
  • the opening flap 29 also pulls off the half of the end side flaps 32 and 33 connected to it, that is to say it is removed from the inner covering 20.
  • the inner sheath 20 is formed from one-piece, continuous blanks, as in the exemplary embodiment. Fig. 1-6 in Fig. 7, according to the embodiment. 9 and 10 are shown in FIG. 11.
  • the cut parts (front) longitudinal end flaps 30, front wall 23 with opening flap 29 as part of the same, bottom wall 25, rear wall 24 and longitudinal end flaps 31 are successively marked by fold lines.
  • the side tabs 35 adjoin laterally in the region of the front wall 23 and 34 in the region of the rear wall 24.
  • Parts of the end flaps 32, 33 are continuations of the side flaps 34, 35 in the region of the longitudinal end flaps 30 and 31.
  • Bottom corner flaps 45 laterally adjoin the bottom wall 25, which in the embodiment of FIGS. 1-7 form the triangular gusset 44 by appropriate folding.
  • the bottom corner flaps 45 are separated from the side flaps 34, 35 by separating cuts 46.
  • the bottom corner flaps 45 are up against the in this embodiment Side areas of the cigarette group 21 folded.
  • the cigarette group 21 is conveyed through the plane of a blank of an inner wrapping 20 which is provided transversely to the direction of movement, taking the same with it, so that it lies in a U-shape - starting from the bottom wall 25 - around the cigarette group 21. Then in an intermediate folding position.
  • the overlap strips 37, 38 folded in opposite directions, ie away from each other, so that the inner surfaces are turned outwards.
  • the inner sides of the covering strips 37, 38 can now be provided with glue along the gluing strip 36 to be formed, that is to say with the section 39 not being cut.
  • the covering strips 37, 38 are now compressed over the full length of the inner casing 20 to form the adhesive strip 36. This is then, as described, folded against the side walls 27, 28.
  • the inner covering 20 is completed in the usual way by folding over the triangular gusset 44 and by folding the end wall 26.
  • the exemplary embodiments shown can also be modified in such a way that the adhesive strip 36 extends over the full length of the inner covering 20, possibly including the area of the front side tabs 32, 33.
  • the opening tab 29 is formed by a punching or running along the edge of the adhesive strip 36 Perforation marked so that it can be separated here from the adhesive strip 36 remaining on the inner covering 20.
