- the lining blocks 4 are pressed together. In particular, this prevents the inner surfaces of the lining blocks 4 from tending to break open. In this respect, the fastening device does not stress the lining blocks.
- the electrical insulation of the heating coils 12 or heating tapes 14 with respect to the holding anchors 2 and thus the outer wall 1 of the furnace is ensured by the non-conductive rods 6. Since the heating coils 12 or heating tapes 14 are essentially free in the furnace, the risk of overheating of the lining blocks 4 and the heating element is low.
