- the actuation of the signal generator 9 generates a sequence of pulses which is received by the receiver 10. After reading and comparing, the latter sends a continuous signal through the unlocking line D.
- the continuous signal also supplied to the electronic control circuit 11 causes the light-emitting diode 7 to be supplied with current, which now throws light onto the phototransistor 8.
- the control circuit 11, which receives a signal from the phototransistor 8, does not supply any current to the electromagnet 5.
- the control circuit 11 which has received the unlocking signal and now no longer receives a signal from the phototransistor 8, closes the circuit of the electromagnet 5. Since the pressure switch 6 is closed, the electromagnet 5 is energized and attracts the plunger 4, causing the lock cylinder 1 is released and the starter can be operated by turning the key 2.
