Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for helping a toddler to fall asleep.
  • DE-U-7 118 320 it is known to provide, as a calming device, in particular as a sleep aid, a timepiece consisting of a driving wheel, a seconds wheel and an escape wheel that interacts with a vibration device, the number of vibrations of the vibration unit being adapted to the heart rhythm is about 30 per minute, and can be adjusted.
  • the task of the invention is to provide a device which imitates these heart sounds and can be placed on or near an ear of an infant.
  • the device is characterized by a clockwork shaft which runs approximately in the heartbeat of a human being, the one end of which is coupled to a membrane which produces systolic and diastolic heart sounds.
  • the membrane also performs a physical movement with the heart murmurs and is to be placed on the child's ear.
  • a particularly simple coupling of the clockwork shaft to the membrane is provided in that the end of the clockwork shaft is mounted in a bearing piece located on the membrane or in that the end of the clockwork shaft rests with its end face on a cushion located on the membrane.
  • the device is preferably characterized in that the clockwork has a balance with a spiral balance spring which, when being wound up, bears with a section against a device-like spiral abutment.
  • the device is preferably characterized in that the clockwork has an anchor wheel which cooperates with the anchor in the two directions of vibration for different lengths of time.
  • the movement preferably has an escape wheel with an axis running at right angles to the movement shaft, while the armature sits on the movement shaft.
  • the device is preferably characterized by a hammer acting on a membrane, which means a spring is pressed against a gearwheel which is seated on a clockwork shaft and has alternately short and long teeth.
  • the impact noises become particularly muffled when the head of the hammer is covered with soft material.
  • the device is preferably characterized in that the clock mechanism shaft is an anchor wheel shaft and an anchor wheel sits on this anchor wheel shaft, which has half as many teeth as the gear acting on the hammer.
  • the device is preferably characterized in that the clockwork is connected to a housing having the membrane as the housing wall via sound-absorbing buffers.
  • the device is preferably characterized in that the movement has an unrest, act on the two coil springs, one of which is loose and the other is fixed to the frame of the Clockwork is connected.
  • a clockwork 4 is housed in a shell-shaped clockwork housing 2, the construction of which is fundamentally known and therefore only those parts are described which are essential for the invention.
  • the housing 2 is closed by a membrane 6, on the inside of which there is a bearing piece 8 of a clockwork shaft 10, which can be approximately the second wave.
  • the clockwork shaft 10 is driven in steps by an escape wheel 12.
  • the escape wheel has six teeth 14 which are at an angular distance of 60 ° from one another.
  • the escape wheel 12 cooperates with an anchor 16, the stop pins 18, 20 of which cooperate with the teeth 14, also have an angular distance of approximately 60 ° with respect to the axis of rotation of the escape wheel 12.
  • the Anchor 16 is pivoted back and forth on a balance ring 24 by means of a pin 22.
  • a balance spring 28 is anchored on the balance 24 and on a bearing 26 fixed to the device. This balance spring 28 is spiral-shaped and, when it is wound up, bears a section against a device-like spiral abutment 30.
  • a spring-driven clockwork with a balance-controlled escapement is provided.
  • the case a between the stop pins 18, 20 and the teeth 14, as shown in Fig 3 can be seen is more than twice as large as the following case b shown in FIG.
  • the time difference between the beat noises corresponding to the systolic and the diastolic heart murmur is obtained by the balance spring 28 in its interaction with the abutment 30: the effective length of the balance spring 28 is considerably shorter when winding up than when unwinding from the abutment 30.
  • the membrane 6 generates a dull, soft sound; In particular, a thin, flexible and stretched plastic film has proven itself as membrane 6.
  • the membrane also serves as the lid of the housing 2 and can be placed on the ear of a small child. Due to the jerky movement of the movement shaft 10, the membrane 6 is excited rhythmically parallel to its areal expansion.
  • an armature shaft 32 acts on a cushion 36 located on the membrane 6.
  • An armature 33 and a centric flywheel 34 are seated on the armature shaft 32.
  • the armature 33 interacts with the teeth 35 of an armature wheel 37, the axis of which is perpendicular to the axis of the armature shaft 32.
  • an axially acting lifting of the armature shaft 32 is provided, as is also used in metronomes. Since metronomes are spatially fixed, but the device according to the invention must run independently of the position, the flywheel 34 and a spiral spring are provided. In order to make the case of the teeth 35 different on the armature 33, differently inclined lifting surfaces 38, 39 are provided on the armature 33.
  • FIGS. 5 to 7 show a clockwork with a hammer 40 (broken off in FIG. 6) which can strike a membrane 60 which delimits an end face of a cylindrical housing 62 with a head 41 made of soft material.
  • the hammer 40 is pressed by means of a spring 42 against a toothed wheel 43 which is alternately short and has long teeth 43b and is seated on the escape wheel shaft 44.
  • the clockwork according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is connected to the housing 62, which has the diaphragm 60 as an end wall, via sound-absorbing buffers 57.
  • the buffers 57 are penetrated by screws with which the clockwork according to FIGS. 5 and 6 is to be fastened to the other end wall 59 of the housing 62.
  • An elevator shaft 61 of the clockwork protrudes with a free end from a depression 63 in the housing and is provided there with a reversible elevator key 64.
  • the movement is provided with a balance 55, on which two spiral springs 50 and 51 act.
  • the inner ends of the coil springs 50, 51 are attached to the balance shaft 52; the outer end of the spiral spring 51 is guided through a hole 54 on a shoulder 53 of the clockwork and is only bent behind the hole, thus sitting loosely in the hole 54.
  • the outer end of the other spiral spring 50 is fixed with a shoulder 56 on the frame of the clockwork connected.
  • the movement is designed in a known manner as a Leisegang movement.
