Claims (14)

1. Fremgangsmåde til drift af en kompressionstændingsmotor ved anvendelse af et hovedbrændstof, der omfatter methanol og vand, indbefattende: fumigering af en indsugningsluftstrøm med et fumigeringsmiddel, der omfatter en tændingsforbedrer; tilførsel af den fumigerede indsugningsluft til et forbrændingskammer i motoren og komprimering af indsugningsluften; tilførsel af hovedbrændstoffet, der omfatter methanol og mellem 12 og 40 vægt-% vand og ikke mere end 20 vægt-% dimethylether, til forbrændingskammeret; og antænding af hovedbrændstoffet /luftblandingen for derved at drive motoren.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, der indbefatter fumigering af indsugningsluften med fumigeringsmidlet til en mængde på 0,5 - 70 vægt-% hovedbrændstof.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 2, der indbefatter fumigering med et fumigeringsmiddel, der som tændingsforbedrer omfatter en ether.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 3, der indbefatter fumigering med et fumigeringsmiddel, der omfatter dimethylether.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, der indbefatter tilførsel af ct hovedbrændstof, der omfatter mellem 12 og 30 vægt-% vand, til forbrændingskammeret.

8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående krav, der indbefatter forvarmning af indsugningsluften i forbrændingskammeret til mellem 50 °C og 300 °C før tilførsel af hovedbrændstoffet til forbrændingskammeret.

Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 8, der indbefatter tilvejebringelse af et præbrændstof, der omfatter methanol og ether som tændingsforbedrer, separering af tændingsforbedreren fra præbrændstoffet, fumigering af indsugningsluftstrømmen med tændingsforbedreren separeret fra præbrændstoffet, og tilførsel af det resterende præbrændstof efter separation af tændingsforbedreren til forbrændingskammeret som hovedbrændstoffet.

Anvendelse af et kompressionstændingsmotorbrændstof som fuld erstatning for traditionelt dieselbrændstof i en kompressionstændingsmotor, der fumigeres med et fumigeringsmiddel, der omfatter en tændingsforbedrer, ind i en luftindsugning til motoren, hvor brændstoffet omfatter methanol og mellem 12 og 40 vægt-% vand, og ét eller flere additiver udvalgt fra gruppen bestående af: tændingsforbedrere, brændstofstrækmidler, forbrændingsforbedrere, oxygenabsorberende olie, additiver til forbedret smøreegenskab, produktfarvningsadditiver, flammefarvningsadditiver, rustbeskyttelsesadditiver, biocider, fiysepunktssænkende midler, aflejringsreduktionsmidler, denatureringsmidler, pH-regulerende midler, og blandinger deraf, hvor brændstoffer omfatter ikke mere end 20 vægt-% dimethylether.
11. Anvendelse ifølge krav 10, hvor tændingsforbedreren er dimethylether.
12. Anvendelse af en tokomponent-kompressionstændingsmotorbrændstofsammensætning, der omfatter: en hovedbrændstofsammensætning, der omfatter methanol og mellem 12 og 40 vægt-% vand og ikke mere end 20 vægt-% dimethylether, og en sekundær brændstofkomponent, der omfatter en tændingsforbedrer, som fuld erstatning for traditionelt dieselbrændstof ved drift af en kompressionstændingsmotor.
13. Anvendelse af tokomponentkompressionstændingsbrændstoffet ifølge krav 12 i en kompressionstændingsmotor, hvor hovedbrændstoffet indføres i forbrændingskammeret af kompressionstændingsmotoren, og det sekundære brændstof fumigeres ind i luftindsugningen til kompressionstændingsmotoren.
14. Fremgangsmåde til tilførsel af brændstof til en kompressionstændingsmotor, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter: tilførsel en hovedbrændstofsammensætning, der omfatter methanol og mellem 12 og 40 vægt-% vand og ikke mere end 20 vægt-% dimethylether til en første tank, der står i fluidforbindelse med et forbrændingskammer af kompressionstændingsmotoren, og tilførsel af en sekundær brændstofkomponent, der omfatter en tændingsforbedrer, til en anden tank, der står i fluidforbindelse med en luftindsugning til kompressionstændingsmotoren.
