Description
- Verfahren zur Herstellung von aschefreien Aminocarbonsäuren aus Laktamen Es ist bekannt, Laktame durch Hydrolyse mit starken Säuren in die entsprechenden Aminocarbonsäuren umzuwandeln, wofür auf: Wallach,* Ann. d. Cliem., igoo, S. 188, Eck und Marvel, J. Biol. Chem., 1934, S. 357, und die holländische Patentschrift 56 318 hingewiesen werden kann.
- Ein Nachteil dieses Verfahrens ist, daß man bei demselben nicht direkt die reinen Aminosäuren erhält, weil die Säuren, welche für die Hydrolyse benutzt wurden, mit den Aminogruppen der Aminocarbonsäuren Salzbindungen bilden. In der Technik ist die Abscheidung der freien Aminocarbonsäure aus denselben schwierig und kostspielig. So hat sich z. B. ergeben, daß, wenn man nach dem holländischen Patent 56 318 arbeitet, der Niederschlag der Schwefelsäure mit Calciumhydroxyd oder Bariumhydroxyd gar nicht quantitativ vor sich geht, weil die Aminosäure dabei störend wirkt. Bei der Hydrolyse von Laktamen mit Salzsäure, wie in den obenerwähnten Literaturangaben beschrieben ist, muß man große Mengen Chlor beseitigen, was schließlich mit Silberoxyd geschehen muß, eine Bewirkung, welche zeitraubend und kostspielig ist.
- Aus den holländischen Patentschriften 54 864, 56 378 und 56 379 sowie aus der schweizerischen Patentschrift 242 616 ist bekanntgeworden, Laktame in Polyamid umzusetzen. Der Anspruch des erstgenannten Patentes gibt an, daß pro Mol Laktam wenigstens 1 Mol Wasser und vorzugsweise nicht mehr als 4 Mol Wasser benutzt werden sollen. Die Ansprüche der anderen Patente erwähnen die Anwesenheit von Wasser nicht, obwohl die Beschreibungen die Möglichkeit der Anwesenheit von Wasser bei der Reaktion angeben. Es ist aber selbstverständlich, daß die Anwesenheit von Wasser einen Nachteil bedeutet, da diese Polykondensation unter Bildung von Wasser vor sich geht und ein großer Wassergehalt der zu kondensierenden Stoffe vor Beginn der Kondensation, wie bekannt, diese Kondensation zurückdrängen oder verhindern würde.
- Aus diesem Grunde wird auch ohne Druck gearbeitet und das gebildete Wasser laufend entfernt. Als Katalysatoren werden in der angegebenen Literatur Monoamine, Diamine und Monocarbonsäuren erwähnt.
- Überraschenderweise hat sich nun herausgestellt, daß man die Laktame in die Aminocarbonsäuren überführen kann, wenn man das Laktam mit mehr als io Mol Wasser pro Mol Laktam zwischen i5o und 300', also in einem Druckgefäß, erhitzt.
- Die Menge Wasser ist von der Anzahl Kohlenstoffatome im Laktamring abhängig. Bei einem Molekularverhältnis Laktam zu Wasser wie i : 12 tritt im allgemeinen bereits eine merkbare Aminocarbonsäurebildung auf. Eine obere Grenze der Verdünnung besteht nicht, aber man wird in der Praxis nicht weiter als unbedingt notwendig gehen, weil sonst das Verfahren unnötig teuer wird.
- Die Temperatur, bei welcher die Reaktion sich abspielt, kann man innerhalb weiter Grenzen variieren, aber bei. Temperaturen niedriger als 15o ° wird die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit für die Praxis zu gering.
- Temperaturen über 300' sind im allgemeinen nicht gewünscht, weil dann Krackprozesse auftreten können. Die Reaktion kann durch die Zugabe von Katalysatoren beschleunigt werden, als Beispiele sollen aliphatische Monocarbonsäuren, aliphatische Monoamine und aliphatische Diamine erwähnt werden. Auch eine kleine Menge Aminocarbonsäure wirkt beschleunigend.
- Aus der wäßiigen, durch die Hydrolyse erzielten Aminocarbonsäurelösung kann man den trocknen Stoff durch Eindampfen gewinnen,- oder man kann die Aminocarbonsäure nach einer vorangehenden Konzentrierung durch Zugabe von Alkohol, Aceton, Dioxan oder einer derartigen Flüssigkeit auskristallisieren lassen. Beispiel i Man erhitzt 5 kg Kaprolaktam mit 4o Liter Wasser während 4 Stunden in einem Druckgefäß auf 250 °. (Diese Mengen entsprechen einem Molekularverhältnis von i : 5o.) Nach Abkühlung filtriert man die kleine Menge gebildeten unlöslichen Stoffes ab und dampft die Lösung möglichst weit ein. Den Rückstand mischt man mit einem dreifachen Volumen starken Alkohol, wodurch die E-Aminokapronsäure (6-Aminohexansäure) auskristallisiert.
- Aus der Mutterlauge kann eine weitere Menge Aminokapronsäure gewonnen werden. Beispiel 2 Man erhitzt i kg Methylcyclooktanonisoxim mit 6 1 Wasser und 2 g Essigsäure während 3 Stunden in einem Druckgefäß auf 26o'. (Diese Mengen entsprechen einem Molekularverhältnis von 1:.46.) Nach Beendigung wird der Rückstand mit einer kleinen Menge Kohle entfärbt, zu ungefähr 1,5 1 eingedampft und mit Aceton gemischt, bis keine weitere Auskristallisierung auftritt.
- Man erhält die reine 8-Aminomethyloktansäure in einem Ertrag von ungefähr 85')/,.
Claims (2)
- PATENTANSPRÜCHE: i. Verfahren zur Herstellung von aschefreien Aminocarbonsäuren aus Laktamen, durch Erhitzen der letzteren Verbindungen auf eine Temperatur zwischen 150' und 300', dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß diese Erhitzung in Anwesenheit von mehr als io Mol Wasser pro Mol Laktam stattfindet.
- 2. Verfahren nach Anspruch i, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß als Katalysator ein oder mehrere der nachstehenden Stoffe benutzt werden: eine Aminocarbonsäure oder ein für die Kondensation zu Polyamiden bekannter Katalysator, wie eine aliphatische Monocarbonsäure oder ein aliphatisches Mono- oder Diamin.
