D zeigt die Ansicht des vertical geschnittenen Preiskastens, E den Grundrifs desselben mit der getheilten Prefsmutter AB. F die Ansicht der Prefsplatte c mit der Prefsmutter A B.
Die Neuheit bei dieser Presse besteht in der getheilten Prefsmutter A B, welche scharnierartig mit der Prefsplatte c verbunden ist und sich aus einander ziehen und wieder zusammendrücken läfst; die Prefsmutter wird, wenn diese in die Spindel eingedrückt ist, vermittelst des schmiedeisernen Klemmbügels C zusammengehalten, welcher letztere auf dem Stift e drehbar ist und sich vor den Bolzen/ drücken läfst.
Der Vortheil bei dieser Einrichtung liegt in der Ermöglichung einer schnelleren Pressung, indem man nicht nöthig hat, die Spindel i durch den langsamen Gang der Schraube und Schneckenrades leer bezw. ohne Druck vor und zurück zu bewegen, sondern man verrichtet diese Arbeit mit der Hand; hierzu ist es nöthig, dafs man den Klemmbügel C bei Seite dreht, die Prefsmutter A B durch Auseinanderziehen von der Prefsspindel i entfernt und alsdann die Prefsplatte so fest als möglich gegen den auszupressenden Prefsbeutel drückt. Alsdann bewirkt man die eigentliche Pressung vermittelst der Schraube und des Schraubenrades und verfahrt beim Zurückziehen der Prefsplatte i auf gleiche Weise.
