Description
- Verfahren zur Herstellung hohler Gummigegenstände. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung hohler Gummigegenstände aus zwei an ihren Rändern zusammengepreßten unvulkanisierten Scheiben. Es ist bereits bekannt, zu diesem Zweck die Gummischeiben auf Formenhälften aufzulegen und durch Saugluft in die Formhöhlungen hineinzuziehen. Hierbei ergeben sich aber, da je nach der Menge des überstehenden Randes die Gummiplatten mehr oder weniger gedehnt werden, ungleichmäßige Gummistärken. Schneidet man die Gummischeiben vorher in runde Formen, um sie dann in die Höhlungen einzusaugen, so entstehen, da die runden Gummistücke am Rande nicht festgehalten werden, leicht Falten. Auch haben diese Verfahren den Nachteil, daß zwei Arbeitsgänge erforderlich sind, nämlich. ein Schneiden der Platten und nach .dem Einsaugen in die Formhöhlungen ein Auseinanderdrücken der Kanten.
- Die vorliegende Erfindung beseitigt nun diesen übelstand dadurch, daß jede Gummischeibe auf eine Formhälfte gelegt wird, deren Höhlung von Schneidkanten umgeben ist. Durch Verminderung des Luftdruckes in der Formhöhlung wird dann nur der innerhalb der Schneidkanten liegende Teil der Scheibe in die Höhlung gezogen, da die Schneidkanten die weiche urvulkanisierte Gummischeibe festhalten. Es bildet sich infolgedessen ein Gummikörper von außerordentlich gleichmäßiger Stärke ohne jede Faltenbildung. Man kann alsdann durch eine einmalige Gegeneinanderbewegung der beiden Formhälften mittels der Schneidkanten die von ihnen festgehaltenen Ränder der Seheibe zusammenpressen und gleichzeitig die überschüssigen Gummiteile abtrennen.
- Die Zeichnung zeigt als Beispiel eine Ausführungsform einer Vorrichtung zur Ausführung des Verfahrens gemäß der Erfindung.
- Die Vorrichtung besteht aus den beiden Formteilen 40 und 41, die in bekannter Weise mittels Schrauben o. dgl. an den Platten der Presse befestigt werden. Die Höhlungen der beiden Formteile stehen durch Bohrungen 44 mit Leitungen in Verbindung, mit denen Hilfe die Formhöhlungen in Verbindung mit der äußeren Luft gebracht werden können. Man bringt die Form in einen Raum, in welchem Überdruck vorhanden ist, so daß, wenn eine Gummischicht A,1 über die Hohlräume der Formen gelegt und dann diese Form mit der äußeren Luft in Verbindung gesetzt wird, der überdruck den Gummi in die Höhlung eindrückt. Am besten wird der ganze Raum, in welchem die Presse steht, mit Druckluft versehen, so daß auch der die Presse bedienende Arbeiter sich in diesem unter Druck stehenden Raum befindet. Der Raum muß dann durch einen luftdichten Verschluß abgeschlossen sein, der auch das Aus- und Eingehen ermöglicht, ohne den Luftüberdruck wesentlich herabzusetzen.
- Natürlich kann auch, wenn die Presse " in einem Raum von atmosphärischer Spannung steht, an die Bohrungen 44 eine Saugleitung angeschlossen werden.
- Die Formteile besitzen rings um ihre Höhlungen herumlaufende Rippen 47, welche mit Schneidkanten versehen sind, auf die die Gummischichten aufgelegt werden.
- Erfolgt nach dem Auflegen der Gummischichten auf die Formplatten das Einsaugen in die Formhöhlungen, so wird nur der innerhalb der Schneidkanten liegende Teil der Scheiben in die Höhlung hineingezogen, da die Schneidkanten die Gummiplatten halten. Werden nach. dem Einsaugen der Platten in die Formhöhlungen die beiden Formhälften gegeneinanderbewegt, so pressen die Schneidkanten infolge ihrer Abschrä.gung die beiden zusammenzufügenden Teile des herzustellenden Gegenstandes an der Schnittfuge zusammen, so daß an dieser Stelle ein Saum ai entsteht, der später beim Vulkanisieren beseitigt wird. Der überschüssige Teil des Gummis wird gleichzeitig durch die Schneidkanten abgetrennt, und er gelangt in den die Sc'hneidkanten umgebenden Raum, aus dem er später entnommen werden kann. Die so hergestellten Gegenstände können dann in: bekannter Weise vulkanisiert werden.
Claims (1)
- PATENTANSPRUCH. Verfahren zur Herstellung hohler Gummigegenstände aus zwei an ihnen Rändern zusammengepreßten unvulkanislerten Scheiben, gekennzeichnet durch folgende Maßnahmen: Jede Gummischeibe wird auf eine Formhälfte, deren Höhlung von Schneidkanteti umgeben ist, gelegt; durch Verminderung des Luftdruckes in der Formhöhlung wird der innerhalb der Schneidkanten liegende Teil der Scheiben in die Höhlung gezogen; hiernach werden die Formhäften derart gegeneinanderbewegt, daß ihre Schneidkanten die von ihnen festgehaltenen Ränder der Scheiben zusammenpressen und gleichzeitig die überschüssigen Gummiteile abtrennen.
