Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine biocide Zubereitung, mit einem wirksamen Gehal» einer
synergistischen Mischung aus Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel I

sind, wobei das Gewichtsverhältnis der Verbindungen der Formel I zu Verbindungen der Formel II 50^50
bis 90: 10 beträgt.
Bioeide Verbindungen der Formel I sind Gegenstand
der deutschen Patentschrift 2 009 276. Verbindungen der Formel II sind dagegen noch nicht als biocide
Wirkstoffe vorgeschlagen worden. Sie sind als solche keine besonders gut wirksamen Bioeide.
Es war deshalb besonders überraschend, daß durch Zusatz von mäßig wirksamen Verbindungen der
Formei '\ zu solchen der Formel I deren an sich schon sehr ausgeprägte biocide Wirksamkeit noch weiter
verbessert wird.
Dieser Befund ist auch von besonderer wirtschaftlicher 3edeutung, da bei der Herstellung der Verbindungen
Jzr Formel I, je nach eingesetztem Molverhältnis
·. ./n Octylhalogcnid zu Diäthylcntriamin, die Verbindungen der Formel II in mehr oder weniger
großen Mengen als Nebenprodukte erhalten werden. Es bedarf also keines gesonderten Herstellungsverfahrens,
um die in dem synerjMstischcn Gemisch gemäß der Erfinduni» enthaltenen Wirkstoffe zu uewinnen.
Zur Herstellung der errindungsgemaßen synergistiss sehen Mischungen löst man die Wirkstoffe der Formel
I bzw. II in dem eingangs erwähnten Gewichts verhältnis in Wasser. Alkoholen. Glykoläthern oder
deren Gemische unter Zusatz von Säuren, wie ^ssii»-
säure. Milchsäure, Weinsäure. Gluconsäure. Zitronensäure. Phosphorsäure, Salzsäure und Salpetersäure,
so daß vorzugsweise ein pH von 5 bis 8 resultiert Als Lösungsvermittler und zur Regulierung di>
Schaumverhaltens können nichtionogene Tenside zugesetzt werden, z. B. die Additionsprodukte von Äth>
lenoxid an Laurylalkohol. Isotridecylalkohol. Isooctylphenol,
Nonylphenol und Fettsäureglyceride. die Copolymerisate von Ätbvlenoxid und Propylen oxid
sowie oxyäthylierte Fettsäureamide und -amine, soweit ihr nichtionogener Charakter überwiegt. Außerdem
können die erfindungsgemäßen Zubereitungen Verdickungsmittel, wie Methyl-, Hydroxyaryl- und
Carboxymethylcellulose. Polyacrylsäure und deren Derivate. Polyvinylpyrrolidon und Polyvinylalkohol
sowie inerte Füllstoffe. >vie hochdisperse Kieselsäure.
Aluminiumoxid, Zinksulfid. Bariumsulfat. Titandiowd
sowie Harnstoff, Rohrzucker und Cellulose enthalten. Zubereitungen im Sinne der Erfindung eignen sich
insbesondere als Desinfektionsmittel. Konservierungsmittel
und Algicide. z. B. zur Verwendung in Brauereien,
Molkereien, der alkoholfreien Getränkeindustrie, Tierzuchtbetrieben, Schlachthöfen. Krankenhausern
und Badeanstalten.
Aus den folgenden Beispielen sind Herstellung und Eigenschaften der erfindungsgemäßen synergistischen
Zubereitungen zu ersehen:
a) Herstellung eines Gsmisches von Dioctyldiäthylentriamin,
Trioctyldiäthylentriamin und
Tetraoctyldiäthylcntriamin
Tetraoctyldiäthylcntriamin
In einem 500-1-Vierhalskolben mit Rührer, Rück-
6s flußkühler. Thermometer und Tropftrichtei werden
IMoI Diäthylcntriamin. 1,2MoI NaOH und 10g
Wasser auf WC erhitzt. Durch den Tropftrichter läßt man noch i.2 Mol Octylhalogcnid zulaufen.
Danach läßt man noch 1 Stunde bei 130 C ausreagieren.
Vom festen anorganischen Rückstand wird dekantiert und die organische Phase durch Destillation
von Diäthylentriamin und Monooctyldiäthylentriamin befreit. Der Rückstand besteht nach Elementaranalyse
und Gaschromatogramm aus 60% Dioctyldiäthylentriamin, 32% Trioctyldiäthylentriamin
und 8% Tetraoctyldiäthylentriamin. Durch fraktionierte Destillation lassen sich daraus die Einzelkomponenten
isolieren.
b) 60 Gewichtsteile N - Dioctyldiäthylentriamin. 32 Gewichtsteile N - Trioctyldiäthylentriamin, 8 Gewichtsteile
N - Tetraoctyldiäthylentriamin, 80 Gewichtsteile eines Additionsproduktes von 12MoI
Äthylenoxid an 1 Mol Isotridecylalkohol, 40 Gewichtsteile Essigsaure, 200 Gewichtsteile n-Propanol und
300 Gewichtsteile Wasser werden unter Rühren und schwachem Erwärmen homogenisiert. Man erhält
eine klare, dunkelgelbgefärbtc Zubereitung, die wasserverdünnbai

V)Gewichtsteile N-Dioctyldiäthylentriamin. H)GeuiL'htsteile
N - Trioctyldiäthylentriamin und 30 Gewichtsteile eines Additionsproüuktes von 12 Mol
Äthylenoxid an 1 Mol Isotridecylalkohol werden unter Zusatz von 10 Gewichtsteilen Ess-gsäure. 40 Gewichtsteilen
Äthylglykol und 280 Gewichtsteilen Wasser unter Rühren md Erwärmen auf etwa 50 C homogenisiert.
Man erhält eine gelbgefärbte, schäumende Lösung, die beliebig wasserverdannbar ist.
90Gewichtsteile N-Dioctyldiäthylentriamin. 10Gewichtsteile
N-Trioctyldiäthylentriamin. 60Gewichtsteile eines Additionsproduktes von 10 Mol Äthylenoxid
an 1 Mol Laurylalkohol. 25 Gewichtsteile Zitronensäure, 100 Gewichtsteile Propylenglykol und
700 Gewichtsteile Wasser werden unter Erwärn.en auf 40 C homogenisiert. Man erhält eine klare,
hellgelbgefärbte Zubereitung, die beliebig wasserverdünnbarist.
50Gewichtsteile N-Dioctyldiäthylentriamin. 10Gewichtsteile
N-Trioctyldiäthyler'.riamin, 40Gewichtsteile eines Additionsproduktes von 20 Mol Äthylenoxid
an IMoI Nonylphenol. 100 Gewichtsteile 10%iger Salzsäure, 120Gewichtstei!e Äthanol und
800 Gewichtsteile Wasser werden unter Rühren homogenisiert. Es resultiert eine klare, gelbgcfärbte
Zubereitung, die mit Wasser verdünnt werden kann.
70Gewichisteile N-Dioctyldiäthylentriamin, 25Gewichtsteile
N-Trioctyldiäthylentriamin, .5 Gcwichtsteilc
N-Tetraoctyldiäthylentriamin. 100 Gewichtsteile eines Additionsproduktes von 10 Mol Äthylenoxid
an IMoI Laurylamin. 45 Gewichtsteile Weinsäure, 100 Gewichtsteile Äthylrnglykoldimethyläthcr und
600 Gewichtsteile Wasser werden unter Rühren und Erwärmen homogenisiert. Man erhült eine wasserverdünnbiire
Zubereitung
Bakteriologische Untersuchungen
Die Untersuchung der bakteriologischen Eigenschaften erfolgte gemäß den Richtlinien der Deutschen
Gesellschaft für Hygiene und Mikrobiologie.
Die Prüfung auf Sporizidie wurde in der. Weise durchgefiihrt, daß von einer 10 Tage alten Kultur
Sporen abgeschwemmt und durch zweimaliges V2StUndiges
Erhitzen auf 80°C von vegetativen Keimen befreit wurden. Ansonsten erfolgte der Test analog zum
Suspensionsversuch gemäß obigen Richtlinien.
I. 1. Sporicide Wirkung eines erfindungsgemäßen Gemisches, welches Dioctyldiäthylentriamin und
Trioctyldiäthylentriamin (als Wirkstoff) sowie
ISO-C13H27O(CH2Ch2O)12H im Verhältnis 3:1:3
enthält
Der pH-Wert wurde mit Essigsäure auf 6.5 eingestellt.

I. 2. Sporicide Wirkung von Dioctyldiäthylentriamin (Vergleichssubstanz)
Fs wurde eine wäßrige Zubereitung von D>octyldiä
hylentriamin und ISO-C13H27O(CH2CH2O)12 im
Gewichtsverhältnis 4: 3 unter Zusatz von Essigsäure so hergestellt, daß ein pH von 6,5 resultierte.

I. 3. Sporicidc Wirkung von Trioctyldiäthylentriamin
(Vergleichssubstanz)
Es wurde ein wäßriges Konzentrat mit 10% Trioctyldiäthylentriamin,
10% JSO-C13H27O(CH2CH2O)1,
und 20% n-Propanol hergestellt. Der pH-Wert wurde mit Essigsäure auf 6,5 gebracht.

Bei Vergleich der sporiciden Wirksamkeit des erfindungsgemäßen Gemisches mit der von Dioctyldiäthylentriamin
bzw. Trioctyldiäthylentriamin allein ergibt sich überraschenderweise für das Gemisch eine
bessere sporicide Wirksamkeit al", für Dioctyldiäthylentriamin,
obwohl die andere Mischungskomponente Trioctyldiäthylentriamin an sich eine erheblich
schlechtere sporicide Aktivität als Dioctyldiäthylentriamin zeigt.
II. 1. Bakteriologische Wirkung einer erfindungsgemäßen
Mischung, deren Wirksubstanz aus 60% Dioctyldiäthylentriamin, 32% Trioctyldiäthylentriamin 30 Eschererichia
und 8% Tetraoctyldiäthylentriamin besteht
Als Lösungsvermittler wurden je 8 Gewichtsteile ISO-C13H27O(CH2CH2O)12H auf je 10 Gewichtsteile

Bei Vergleich der bakteriologischen Wirksamkeil samkeit der erfindungsgemäßen Zubereitung, was bei
der crfindungsgcrnäßcn Zubereitung mit der von Di- 65 den mäßigen baktericiden Eigenschaften von Trioctyl-
octyldiäthylenlriamin (s. deutsche Patentschrift diäthylentriamin und Tetraoctyldiäthylentriamin (s.

- Patentanspruch:Biocide Zubereitung, gekennzeichnet durch einen wirksamen Gehalt einer syner- s gistischen Mischung aus Verbindungen der allgemeinen Formel IR1 /N-CH2-CH2-N-CH2-CH2-N
